Recovering old disallow file?
-
Hi guys,
We had aN SEO agency do a disallow request on one of our sites a while back. They have no trace of the disallow txt file and all the links they disallowed.
Does anyone know if there is a way to recover this file in google webmaster tools or anyway to find which links were disallowed?
Cheers.

Have you performed any more disavow processes since? If you have not, simply login to your Search Console and head to the disavow section.
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/disavow-links
If you have not added any more, simply click the profile you are working with, and it should open up a box with a link to your most recent added file. See my linked image which shows the pop up. You can then download the text file that you/they added.
Hope that helps.
If it is an older file, I would suggest talking to google about seeing previous versions of the txt file, that is if they hold onto them.

Very Old Pages Creeping Up - Advice
We are currently having very old pages dating back 5+ years ago appearing on moz all of a sudden, we don't necessarily get traffic from these links anymore and i doubt they still hold any weight. Currently they take you to a 404 page, would there be any worth in redirecting these links?

Getting rid of duplicate content remaining from old misconfiguration
Hi Friends,We have recently (about a month ago) launched a new website, and during the review of that site spotted a serious misconfiguration of our old terrible WP siteThis misconfiguration, which may have come from either sitemaps or internal links or both lead to displaying our french german and english sites on each others’ domains. This should be solved now, but they still show in SERPS: The big question is: What’s the best way to safely remove those from SERPS?We haven’t performed as well as we wanted for a while and we believe this could be one of the issues:Try to search for instance“site:pissup.de stag do -junggesellenabschied” to find english pages on our german domain, each link showing either 301 or 404.This was cleaned to show 301 or 404 when we launched our new site 4 weeks ago, but I can still see the results in SERPS, so I assume they still count negatively?Cheers!

What is the fastest way disassociate an old URL with a new domain name?
We have a client with an old domain which was spammy (bad links). Until two months ago, it was forwarding to his current domain and (I believe) causing a penalty. Two months ago we transferred ownership of the spammy URL to a third party and setup an unrelated blog for Google to pick up on. Google did pick up on the URL. After two months Google Webmaster Tools is still showing 200 links from the old domain, to the new domain (from the spammy domain). Also, when you search the company name, the spammy domain still appears in the results (page two). Is there a faster way disassociate the old domain entirely from the business? I.e., just delete the domain, forward the domain to another website, etc.? If you have experience in this, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how to add leverage browser caching to these items. http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?v=3.exp&sensor=false&language=en http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/webfont/1/webfont.js http://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js Whats hard is I understand the purpose, but unlike a css file, how do you specify an expiration on an actual direct path file? Any help or link to get help is appreciated. Chris0 -

Why are indented listings coming up from our old site?
We recently redesigned our e-commerce site and we've submitted the new site map and fetched as google bot but old site pages are still coming up indented under our homepage Google results. The new meta description is coming up for the homepage but the Quilt Guard page is showing up under indented results and it goes to a 404 error because the link is no longer on the new site. Is there anyway to control the indented results/pages that show up in results? http://www.google.com/webhp?source=search_app#hl=en&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=sleep+city&oq=sleep+city&gs_l=hp.3..0l4.3702.1178235.0.1178474.21.19.1.1.1.1.613.3532.0j11j3j0j1j1.16.0...0.0...1c.tBBERBg0aIo&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=dddf8a6dafb67f55&biw=1280&bih=923

Best way to handle old re-directs?
What happens if you go back and change old 301 re-directs? So instead of it re-directing from A to B then C, we write a new redirect for A to C. What does Google see this as next time it crawls the site?
