Search optimal Tab structure?

Good day,
We are in the process of starting a website redesign/development.
We will likely be employing a tabbing structure on our home page and would like to be able to capitalize on the keyword content found across the various tabs.
The tab structure will be similar to how this site achieves tabs: http://ugmo.com/
I've uploaded a screen grab of this page as the Googlebot user agent. The text "Soil Intelligence for professional Turf Managers" clicks through to this page: http://ugmo.com/?quicktabs_1=1#quicktabs-1
So I'm thinking there could be some keyword dilution there. That said Google is very much aware of the text on the quicktabs-1 page being related to the home page content: http://www.google.com/search?q=Up+your+game+with+precise+soil+moisture%2C+salinity+and+temperature+measurements.+And+in+the+process%2C+save+water%2C+resources%2C+money.+inurl%3Augmo.com&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe=
Is this the best search optimal way to add keyword density on a home page with a tab structure? Or is there a better means of achieving this?

I'm pretty sure that's what's happening.
So mendely.com is a book mark approach to tabs, as opposed to the javascript ? variable and then bookmark approach here: http://ugmo.com/?quicktabs_1=1#quicktabs-1
I can see how the content is all on the page.
Is there any dilution with the bookmark approach? To what extent is http://www.mendeley.com/#mobile different than http://www.mendeley.com/ ?

is that then not just loading eveything onto 1 url and using javascript to hide the tab 2 & 3 content till someone hits it?
or something like this http://www.mendeley.com/ click on the overview, features, discover research and ipad tabs - all that content is on the page

Not exactly, I'm saying each tab will have a set of keywords on them and we'd like those keywords to be accessible to spiders in an optimal manner. So let's say I have
Tab 1 - keyword copy 1
Tab 2 - keyword copy 2
Tab 3 - keyword copy 3
I want to make sure keyword copy 2 & 3 are providing keyword goodness for the home page.
Does that make sense?

Not sure if I understand your point correctly. Are you saying you will be dynamically feeding keywords on the pages with tabs?

Page disappears from Google search results
Hi, I recently encountered a very strange problem.

One of the pages I published in my website ranked very well for a couple of days on top 5, then after a couple of days, the page completely vanished, no matter how direct I search for it, does not appear on the results, I check GSC, everything seems to be normal, but when checking Google analytics, I find it strange that there is no data on the page since it disappeared and it also does not show up on the 'active pages' section no matter how many different computers i keep it open. I have checked to page 9, and used a couple of keyword tools and it appears nowhere! It didn't have any back links, but it was unique and high quality. I have checked on the page does still exist and it is still readable. Has this ´happened to anyone before? Any thoughts would be gratefully received.0 -
Regarding Flat site structure and how much flat ?
Is it nice to place all commercial landing pages ( product pages) just below the root domain though their number would be around 50k ? Many eCommerce sites does this so that the root domain link juice flow directly to the product page. What's your say on this ?

Google Search Results Display URL
Our urls show as www.domain.com/getproduct.aspx?productid=48376 (url #1) in Google search results. When you click on the link and go to the site the URL is www.domain.com/product-name.aspx (url #2) I checked in Google Webmaster Tools (Fetch as Google) and there is a 302 redirect from url #1 to url #2. It also shows a Set-Cookie value, ASP.NET_SessionID= If we make it a 301 redirect instead, will the url displayed in Google search results be the url #2? We need to get rid of the Set-Cookie for crawlers correct?

No Local & Global Search Volumes Next to Competition%
Hi everyone at Moz, I am quite happy with the Moz tool but am surprised that search volumes do not seem available... What is the current status of the situation described in the Q&A below? http://moz.com/community/q/why-does-the-keyword-difficulty-tool-shows-no-search-volume When handling avg. of 1000 keywords and paying for a tool to calculate volume, competition & KEI I find it weird and annoying to find this information is not available. Does this mean that for each keyword one would have to enter it in the Google adwords keyword tool Thanks for your much needed help on this matter as this is difficult to sell to my clients and I need to make final Keyword choices soon and have no data availble. Question/Concern about URL structure
Hey! I have some doubts concerning structuring a websites URL’s and what would be the best practise for this case. The site has 4 (main) categories with a maximum of 4 products in each category. For example: domain -> category (natural-stones) -> product (flooring) Which I would give the follow url: www.companysite.com//natural-stones/flooring Nothing odd so far, but here is the tricky part: the category isn’t an actual page a user wouldn’t be able to visit. The category is just an item in the mainmenu. If a user hovers over the category in the main menu they will get a dropdown in which they can select a product. E.g. flooring, wall strips etc. My question is: Is the url structure as I suggested: www.companysite.com//natural-stones/flooring the best practise. Even though the category isn’t an actually page. Or would it be better to structure the site: www.companysite.com/flooring My concern with this type of structure would be that the site would seem ‘flat’ with in-depth structure. Or would a third (and maybe best?) option be to create an actual page for the category itself. Thanks for taking the time to help me with my question/concern. SEO friendldy Site structure?
we are in the process or rewriting all the pages on one of our sites and will be changing some urls around. i was just wondering if dashes or underscores are better in the urls SEO wise? www.site.com/word-word-word/ or

So if you are AB testing two pages: index.html and indexB.html Shouldn't I nofollow indexB.html? It has all the same content, just a different design.
