Hi Alexa!
In order to solve problem one, I would choose which domain you want to use (it would be a great idea to use Moz's Open Site Explorer tool to see the domain authority of each of these URLs), and redirect the other URL to the preferred domain. If you don't want to redirect the one website, you could leave both sites up and running just like it is and use the robots.txt file to stop the search engines from indexing one of the domains.
Let me know if you need anymore help!

#1) use the hreflang tag. This tells Google that the two sites are actually the same site, but meant for different markets (1 = Australia, 2 = default)
#2) There is no reason for these to be separate pages..
- Linux VPS
- Budget Linux VPS
- Standard Linux VPS
- Extreme Linux VPS
Your keyword = "Linux VPS".. nobody searches for your modifiers so there is no point to having multiple urls. I recommend merging them into one page. If not possible, set canonicals from all of them to only 1 version of the URL.

Hello, because you are using a country code domain name and not a generic domain name for your second site it should not be as big of a problem. Google does have some guidelines for international sites and duplicate content. They say that you should try to have unique content for the specific country.
I recommend you consider doing this for your high priority pages and make them have unique titles and copy. Then you would want to use a rel="canonical" tag to all other pages that directs to the .com site.
If your goal is to get the com.au website ranked on Google Australia then you will want to make it as unique as possible from your primary site.
Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Alexa, having two domain names with the same exact content is not recommended--at least for search engine ranking purposes. You have several options, and I would choose the option that's best for your overall strategy for the website. This should be based on the type of visitors you're trying to attract.
One option is to leave both sites up and running just like it is--and stop the search engines from indexing one of the domains. That can be done via the robots.txt file.
Another option is to add a geo-redirect on the site. If the visitor is coming from Australia, then show them the .com.au site. If they're not from Australia, then redirect them with a 301 redirect to the .com site. This would solve the issue with the duplicate content, as this would work out fine with the search engines if set up properly.
Another option is to redirect the .com.au site to the .com site with a 301 Permanent Redirect, as the .com would typically work for US and Australian visitors. Typically .com.au wouldn't go over very well with US visitors, so that would be the better option (to only use the .com site).
You could take the time to rewrite the content and add an Australian and US address to their respective sites, and then you'd show visitors and the search engines that the .com is for the US and .com.au is for Australia. Typically that would work well, as the search engines would show the .com.au site to visitors from Australia and the .com to the other searchers, such as those form the US. I would also add the appropriate geo-related meta tags on the site so that the search engines will know which version to show which searchers.
Whatever you decide, you need to deal with the fact that there are two duplicate copies of the site out there, which is not a good thing. You'll continue to battle search engine ranking issues if you have both copies out there being indexed by the search engines.

Hi Alexa,
-
You should decide wich domain you want to use. Then there are 2 ways to solve the duplicate content:
a. Redirect one to the other
b. Set a rel=canonical pointing to the other.
In my opinion you shoul leave the .com and redirect the other. -
Having the same features and being written the same way is a bit of a problem, but in this case, unless you want to re-write all, there nothing you can do.
Also i've found other issue just for overseen your site:
- There isn't any 404 error page, check this url: https://psnine.com/hosting/extreme-vps.php
Best luck.

Website Redesign - Duplicate Content?
I hired a company to redesign our website.there are many pages like the example below that we are downsizing content by 80%.(believe me, not my decision)Current page: https://servicechampions.com/air-conditioning/New page (on test server):https://servicechampions.mymwpdesign.com/air-conditioning/My question to you is, that 80% of content that i am losing in the redesign, can i republish it as a blog?I know that google has it indexed. The old page has been live for 5 years, but now 80% of it will no longer be live. so can it be a blog and gain new (keep) seo value? What should i do with the 80% of content i am losing?

New domain purchase 301 and 404 issues. Please help!
We recently purchased www.carwow.com and 301 redirected the site to www.carwow.co.uk (our main domain). The problem is that carwow.com had URLs indexed like www.carwow.com/a-b-c the 301 sends them to carwow.co.uk/a-b-c which obviously doesn't exist so is a 404! What should be done in this situation? Should it be ignored and not re-directed at all, or is there a way to delete/disavow these dead pages? An SEO has advised we redirect all pages to the homepage, but won't that mess up the link profile? Any advice would be great!

Help - Lost Ranking - What did I screw up?!
Hi, We're working with a local service provider with a location specific keyword (not a real example: "orlando plumbing contractors"). Background:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | AaronHenry
In recent history the client updated a new site design and upgraded from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5. Of course there were duplicate content issues which have been resolved with the help of AceSEF. Duplicate content, title tags, and other content issues are handled as soon as they appear in GWT or MOZ. Additionally, a high number of backlinks were lost when the latest Google update hit. Many of these sites were of sites that no longer existed or were spammy and flushed out. Some were lost due to the previous SEO firm literally removing backlinks and switching them to their new client (seo firm was putting all of the work the client paid for under their name to control everything). Current Situation: The backlink loss seems to have been stopped (hopefully) because we are using a new strategy that relies solely on the quality of the links, surrounding text, varied anchor text, relevancy, etc.) However, we tried an experiment on just one of the clients keywords. That experiment seems to have blown up in our faces evidently. The landing page for the location specific keyword has dropped from the index completely (it seems), but only when searching broad. When using exact match with quotes like the example quoted above ("orlando plumbing contractors") the landing page appears, but several ranks lower. We were ranked yesterday 6/23/13, but as of today 6/24/13 are no longer ranked. On broad matches, non-relevant sites and even a site that shows only a broken server configuration is outranking the client (they appear for the broad search, but the client does not). What Was Done
We recently created a press release for and posted it on a press release site. We then created a link back to the landing page (exact match anchor text). We posted the PR article to several social sites (Google plus, folkd, delicious, twitter, stumble upon, diigo). We also created a blog article (on-site) on site for that, creating links back to the landing page (the links all had exact anchor text). We posted that blog article to social news sites (facebook, stumble, delicious) and included a ping. The PR article was manually rewritten and posted to the PR site (we had to make 2 versions of the PR; one for the blog and one for the PR site). The Result
The client ending up dropping off the broad search rankings, but only slipped a few for "exact match" (with quotes). The PR article that was created is now ranked on page 3 for the board keyword and is still beat by non working sites. We suspect that the exact anchor text could be causing this problem. Anyone else have an idea (we're scratching our heads and trying not to freak out at the same time).0 -
Help needed regarding 1:1 Redirection
Hi all, We are currently working on a very large site having approximately 5000+ pages and its going to be 301 redirected to a new domain. For this we need to redirect each and every page on a 1:1 basis as mentioned in the Webmaster Central guide. Now the site is in flt file and not in CMS and is becoming very tough to set manually redirection for these pages. The site is hosted in a Windows server and using IIS web config file. Now any help regarding any automated or easy way to do the 1:1 redirection will be appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Google penguin penalty(s), please help
Hi MozFans, I have got a question out of the field about www.coloringpagesabc.com.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | MaartenvandenBos
Question is why the rankings and traffic are going down down down the last 4 months. Costumer thinks he got hit by google penguin update(s). The site has about 600 page’s/posts al ‘optimized’ for old seo:
- Almost all posts are superb optimized for one keyword combination (like … coloring pages) there is a high keyword density on the keyword titles and descriptions are all the same like: <keyword>and this is the rest of my title, This is my description <keyword>and i like it internal linking is all with a ‘perfect’ keyword anchor text there is a ok backlink profile, not much links to inner pages
- there are social signals the content quality is low The site to me looks like a seo over optimized content farm Competition:
When I look at the competition. The most coloring pages websites don’t offer a lot of content (text) on there page. The offer a small text and the coloring pages (What it is about :-)) How to get the rankings back:
What I was thinking to do. rewrite the content to a smaller text. Low keyword density on the keyword and put the coloring pages up front. rewrite all titles and descriptions to unique titles and descriptions Make some internal links to related posts with a other anchor text. get linkbuilding going on inner pages get more social signals Am I on the right track? I can use some advise what to do, and where to start. Thanks!!</keyword></keyword> Maarten0
