.htaccess Question
-
Hi,I have a website www.contractor-accounts.co.uk that has an .htaccess file that strips .php and forces a closing brace /. The site is now over 6 months old and still has a very low ranking with MOZ also rating the site as DA/PA = 1 which seems to indicate some sort of issue with the website. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this site is ranking poorly as much of the onpage SEO has been completed to a level of 90%+ for specific keyterms so I'm probably either looking at routing of the framework of so other technical SEO issues possibly?
Any help much apreciated...

This does seem a bit odd. but the domain also doesn't have any inbound links which is what I believe is one of the main things that Moz tool picks up. Perhaps you should build a couple of inbound links to the domain and see what happens?

Canonical question for cross-listed product listings
We have products that are listed across multiple categories. This results in muliple urls for the PDP, for example: mystore.com/shirts/shirt-101.html mystore.com/shirts/pink-shirts/shirt-101.html They make use of the canonical tag and point back to only one product listing url, however Google has indexed both urls in some cases. Has anyone else run up against this and does anyone have advice on how this should be handled?

De-indexing and SSL question
Few days ago Google indexed hundreds of my directories by mistake (error with plugins/host), my traffic dropped as a consequence. Anyway I fixed that and submitted a URL removal request. Now just waiting things to go back to normality. Meantime I was supposed to move my website to HTTPS this week. Question: Should I wait until this indexing error has been fixed or I may as well go ahead with the SSL move?

Subdomain/subfolder question
Hi community, Let's say I have a men's/women's clothing website. Would it be better to do clothing.com/mens and clothing.com/womens OR mens.clothing.com and womens.clothing.com? I understand Moz's stance on blogs that it should be clothing.com/blog, but wanted to ask for this different circumstance. Thanks for your help!

.htaccess help please
Hi there, Can anyone let me know what I need to add to my .htaccess file to make sure that the trailing slash on my domain gets redirected to my main domain name. For example, at the moment Google is seeing my primary domain as follows: http://www.mydomain.com http://www.mydomain.com/ I thought I'd covered off all possible duplication penalities but it look as though I've still got one left! Thanks very much for your help, Simon
