How do you choose a country when uploading a keyword list into Keyword Explorer?
-
Hi There,
I'v been exploring keywords in the Keyword Explorer search bar and changing the Google country via the dropdown (very useful).
But now that I'm uploading lists via CSV, I can't figure out how to change the country - see screenshot attached.
I think I've just wasted a bunch of monthly queries because the lists created via .csv are all for the wrong country!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Ben

Hey there - Sam from Moz's Help team here!
Sorry to hear you're running into trouble! Creating a list in Keyword Explorer with international search engine data involves just one extra step.
- Go to Keyword Explorer, and enter one of your keywords. Choose your desired search engine, and click on the magnifying glass.
- Now, you'll create a list with this keyword/search engine. On the right side of your screen, you'll see " + Create New List." Click on this button.
- Name your list, and click Save.
- You can now access this list by going back to the Keyword Explorer main page (https://moz.com/explorer/).
- Click on this list, and add keywords by clicking on "Enter Keywords." Copy/paste your list of keywords, and click Save.
This will now gather metrics in the search engine you originally selected! If you wish to bulk upload a keyword list via CSV, you can find the formatting guidelines on this page: https://moz.com/help/guides/keyword-explorer#frequently-asked-questions - you would want to adjust the 'locale' column to fit with your desired search engine, eg. en-CA, en-US, and so on prior to uploading.
When you upload a keyword list, we are actually running a full keyword report on that keyword - so this would have removed some of your available keyword queries. I'm really sorry about that.
I hope this helps - if you have any other questions, feel free to ask here or pop a message over to help@moz.com:).

Fresh Web Explorer: if you put a keyword in quotes, is it case sensitive?
For example, would a saved search for "racor fuel filter" capture mentions of "Racor fuel filter"? I'm really hoping I don't have to duplicate the keywords with the alternative capitalisations!! Many thanks Steve

Does Moz's keyword tool pull data from your IP address?
Does anyone know how Moz's keyword tool pulls their keyword ranks? Do they take it based off of the IP (history and cookies) that is being used? I am trying to find a way to collect keyword data that is neutral and not based off of my previous searches, etc. TIA

How Does the On-Page Grader Know about my Target Keyword? Or how can I tell it?
So we've optimized a home page for a particular keyword, "blue widgets tx". But the on-page grader is giving information about "tx blue widgets", "blue widgets in texas", etc. and telling us we are an "F" for these keywords. Is it possible to tell the on-page grader, "Hey, just worry about 'blue widgets tx', and forget about those other ones"? I know I can do it by hand, but it will take forever.

Is there a way to see keyword density by percentage?
My management wants us to track the percentage of keyword density. While I don't feel this is as important as it once was, they want it nevertheless. I don't see a way to get that information. I thought it would be in the On-Page Grade, but if it is there I'm missing any. Is this possible in Moz Pro? Thanks,

How do you block keywords in On-Page Grader for certain URLs?
For the on-page grader, I rank A's for 9 keywords. I struggle with F's I have because it is searching keywords on pages that are not supposed to be searched. For example, I have a "bracelets" page, so I didn't optimize it for "rings", so I got an F. However, it graded me an A for the bracelets keyword, which is great. To be sure I am correct, each page should have it's own keyword, such as bracelet. So why is the grader checking my "Bracelets" page for "Rings"? Maybe there is something I am missing. Just trying to see why this happening.
