I need your help about backlinks
-
Hello everyone,
If your website is in English and if you have backlinks in different language website, does it still affect the SEO in a good way or the websites that you have backlinks has to be in English for getting better position on SEO?
I look forward to your answers.

Hi!
I agree with Chris. As long as Google is able to tell that the links should be pointing to your website, and aren't some sort of spammy link scheme, then having links from websites in other languages is fine!
Just make sure that the websites you are getting these links from are relevant and have a high domain authority so they will pass on the link juice to your website.

From my understanding, it doesn't really matter so long as the links from foreign language sites makes sense.
For example if you're a travel company specialising in trips to Japan, it would make perfect sense for you to have a number of links from Japanese sites (still keeping them relevant to what you do).
On the other hand, if you're a local plumber servicing a 50mi radius around Las Vegas, a large volume of links from Japanese sites seems a little fishy. Maybe a small number from supplier sites or something but that's about it.
The overarching rules of (white hat) link building don't really change with the language; build links from strong and relevant websites and search engines should understand that relevance just fine.

Advice needed; Scrap mature .co.uk and move to .com, or run two separate domains?
Asked before, we have a .co.uk domain name and it has grown with rankings over many years with many quality links made to it. Since, we also have acquired the .com of our agency brand, and want to also focus on US market - something hard to do with a UK domain. However, we aren't sure which route to go from here... Should we keep the .co.uk active and allow that to focus on the UK market, and grow the .com from scratch with a site that looks the same with slightly different content and interlink the two with regional flags. Or move across to the .com totally and scrap the .co.uk. I know we could do a redirect and save a good number of the links made on the .co.uk, but is that worth even doing? And what would the risk be of having two sites the same with similar content? Since this isn't an area I've dealt with before, we are interested to get some real advice to understand which decision is right given the scenario.

SEO: Directory Listing Help with Two business locations in different states
Hello! I am in the process of building my second location, and will be moving to Nashville TN. My first location is located in ohio, and I am changing my primary location to nashville, but still want to keep my clients in Ohio... At least for the first year. As for directory building, what is the best option? 1.) Should I create two separate directory listings for each location and then direct www.domain.com to Nashville directory, and then www.domain.com/ohio-wedding-photographer/ to the Ohio listing in the directory? Or do you create one directory and mention I have offices in both Ohio and nashville? Is it bad to have two listings for each location if they have different addresses and phone numbers? Thank you!

Do Press Releases help ranking?
Sorry to bring up this question again. I have done a ton of reading on it and most of it shows me that it is not a good idea: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-press-release-links-16136.html

Is there a tool out there that can help me determine how people in a particular area search for things?
I'm attempting to create geo-specific landing pages for a client. For example if I'm targeting southern Milwaukee very specifically I'd have to target Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, Bay View, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to create landing pages for every one of those. Is there a tool to help with this issue? The tool I use right now is this http://www.5minutesite.com/local_keywords.php I like it for getting the names of every city/village/town in the area. However, it doesn't answer the nagging question ... how do people search for services in those areas?
