Spam Score Calculation

Are the guidelines of Open Site Explorer's spam score published anywhere?
I'm trying to figure out how a page like
http://content.yudu.com/Library/A22uap/PARKINGMagazineMarch/resources/25.htm
has a Spam Score of 2/17 -- I expect it to be 17/17
It has no visible content, but if you view the source you see very spammy links.

Hi there!
Jo here from the Moz support team.
Spam score is made up of 17 unique signals identified for that subdomain content.yudu.com, rather than that page.
I wouldn't really describe the Spam Score flags as an algorithm, but rather flags that are triggered with the gathering of data for our Mozscape index.
You can check out all the flags and the ones that were triggered for that subdomain here https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis/flags?subdomain=content.yudu.com
In addition to the Whiteboard Friday that Alick300 shared above I also recommend reviewing this article by Rand on Spam Score https://moz.com/blog/spam-score-mozs-new-metric-to-measure-penalization-risk
I hope this helps, if there is anything else I can help you with please do let me know
Cheers!

I understand the concept. I just don't understand how a page that should have a 17/17 spam score is not identified by the algorithm.
I gave a very specific example. I hope that someone with knowledge of the inner-workings of the algorithm can answer.

Hi,
Please check this video @ Understanding and Applying Moz's Spam Score Metric - Whiteboard Friday
I'm also sharing old thread on similar issue @ https://moz.com/community/q/spam-score
Hope this helps you.
Thanks

Subdomain and nofollow backlinks are used to calculate the domain authority?
Greetings, I have a couple of questions about domain authority. 1 - The backlinks that come from different subdomains count several times or only once coming from the same domain? 2 - The nofollow backlinks are used to calculate the domain authority? Thank you.

Doubt Regarding Moz Spam Score
My website is https://www.whatiscbd.com/ . When I check spam score of whatiscbd.com, moz show that its spam score is 9. And when i search spam score of www.whatiscbd.com, spam score is 0. Although both are same website. Why i am getting such issue. Is there any issue in my website's URL redirection. If yes then what's the issue?

How long does it take to turn around a 10/17 SPAM score domain?
Hi - Looking at acquiring a domain name that has a great product fit. The problem is it is currently getting a 10/17 Open Site Explorer SPAM score. The existing site for the domain is running Google sponsored link ads and is full of internal pages that link off to these ads. That explains the existing SPAM score. If I acquire the domain I'll throw out the Google ad pages and build instead a site with real valuable content that behaves like a normal site and look at building backlinks etc. My question is, following this approach, how long is it likely to take Google to not see the domain as some Spam factory so it starts getting well positioned SERPs?

Why such bad scores?
Hi all, I'm a bit frustrated because in open site explorer, my site is appearing with the worst possible scores for everything. (see attch.) However, about 2 months ago I published my site onto a bunch of places using the Yext service. I also manually created 50+ additional links and citations as well as accounts on all the major social media sites. So, how come I get such bad scores and even a big fat zero on inbound links? Thanks! bYCpm

If for few links the spam score is not discovered, then what is the possibility of risks for those links?
For one of the links, I was checking the domain authority and spam score for which the domain authority was 65 and spam score was not discovered. In such links how do I assume or what are the chances of risks with these links?
