-
Hi,
I know that this question was asked couple times over past but want to see if anyone have fresh update on it.
So i was wondering how long it takes for Google to count newly built links , we been building links for the past month and as mentioned in previous posts its usually a month for links to take affect, but after a month i cant see any movements (only slowly loosing traffic everyday since Fred update)

Hi there,
Thanks for the question.
It's almost an impossible one to answer exactly because no one truly knows what goes on behind the scenes at Google. But we can assume that for an average site, Google probably discovers new links pretty quickly and you can check this by seeing if the page where the link is located is indexed and cached.
In terms of then that link "counting" - it's hard to say but from experience of working on various link building campaigns, we typically see improvements between 1-2 months after the first links went live. BUT there are some caveats to point out:
- I've worked on campaigns where great links haven't had any effect at all because of some other underlying issue such as a penalty or technical issue.
- One-off link campaigns with no consistency don't always have an effect in the long term.
- The best campaigns I've worked on have generated links over the course of many months
I hope that helps a bit - sorry that I can't give an exact answer but can only speak from experience.
Cheers.
Paddy

Hey,
According to the latest updates, Google crawls the whole net within 1-2 weeks so...there you go. You can use the Moz tools to try and nail down the issues - perhaps links are not qualitative enough...?
thanks!

When conducting a link building strategy does it matter the country the link is from?
We are a UK business and if we have links mostly from US based blogs and websites does this penalise us. The links are from relevant websites and topics. Should we be focusing on .co.uk sites

Spam links - what would you do?
Hello, A few months back our website was hacked which we noticed quickly and got fixed. However, there still is a lot of dodgy backlinks, linking to the spam pages. They come up in Webmaster Tools, Moz and SEM rush. According to the Moz Spam tool, a few of them have been given 7 flags which Moz suggests gives a 30% chance of being penalised by Google. The website has great rankings (position 1-3 in most targeted keywords) so I am scared of doing something that will harm the rankings, however I also aware that Google may do an update which could take these spam links into account. I have no experience of using the disavow tool but from reading up about it, it should only be used as a last resort. So my question is - what would you do?

Has anyone used Zemanta for their clients. Would appreciate feedback on their service. What got our attention was the sales guy using Rand's testimonial below in their email signature. _"I'm not just a fan, I'm a believer — Zemanta is a remarkable way to build great links." _

Back Link: Is LinkedIn keywords in profile good Link building strategy?
I distribute industrial products B2B with e commerce. I have a personal profile on LinkedIn. I listed the products I sell and I could have all my partners and associates list my web site on their profiles. Do search engines review LinkedIn personal profiles or company profiles and is it a good marketing strategy to have my web site, keywords, and my two largest selling products on LinkedIn?

Link value
Hi I have some links from blogs to our ecom website. My question is if anyone knows what happens if you have several different blogs on .blogspot linking in to you. Does that make them loose value because they are on the same domain? I can probably quite easily have 5-10 blogs on blogspot all with PA of 35-40 link in to us. Is it worth striving for or should i strive to get blogs that have their own domain to link into us instead ? Or equally important ? Dan Lærum
