Are Facebook page updates indexed in Google search?

I seem to remember an update where Google said it was going to include Facebook page updates into Google search, but perhaps that was a deal that fell through? If updates ARE appearing in Gooogle search, how do I troubleshoot a Facebook page where they are not?

Yes for sure.
I have tried posting articles into my facebook page and it was indexed.
Not to mentioned the number of fans are shown up almost live on Google searches

Facebook Page updates are indexed real-time by Google Bots. What do you mean by troubleshooting it? Ranking would be based on social relevance and activity within the account (i.e.: likes and comments on the posts that you are trying to rank high) Obviously, a facebook page with 100k followers, and an average of 1000 comments per post would have higher social relevancy than a page with a few hundred followers and a couple of comments per page. Can you elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish?

I would think it has to do with the profile being public or not and how popular/used the page is......

That's useful to know, I thought Google's indexing was the same speed for all sites, are there any best practices for Facebook updates to potentially add SEO value to Facebook updates?

I have ranked for several of mine updates. Its hard to think SEO in an update though. My fans tend to fall out of longer updates.

These responses are great, and it's good to know that I'm not loosing my mind (because I thought they were indexed" now how do I troubleshoot a page that doesn't look like it's updates are appearing in Google Search (and I want them to)?

Yes, facebook pages do get indexed due to the social integration and real time index at Google. There is no guarantee of ranking, but yes, it does get indexed.

Google Play rankings?
Hi everyone, I've spent the last hour or two googling information on Google Play app rankings, and a few websites mention that standard pagerank of the app page is taken into account when calculating rankings. This seems to make sense, though I'd estimate it's probably not a large factor, with daily downloads being a much higher factor IMO. So my question is, how much of a factor does standard link-building for a Google Play app webpage have in the rankings?. We're trying to increase exposure of an app we've built (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.onedirection), and though we seem to have more downloads, reviews and +1's than others, we seem to be ranking beneath them. But after following the following steps: 1. I have to update my data in 3 separate place is there anyway to just update one area and it filters into all required places. I have a 1)Google+ places page 2)Google+ profile page, what I would expect others to use for my business 3)Google+ page seems to be the one I should be using for my business? Hello, I was just wondering pretty much what the difference between a static HTML page for your timeline is and what the apps are. Is this something that is going to be wildly popular. What should one focus on when creating these static pages or custom apps? It seems like outreach and insights is going to be big for Timeline as well. Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
