Site crawl warning - concatenated urls from Wordpress
-
I could use some help on how to fix this. I asked at the walkthrough but was told it was a Wordpress issue but so far I can't find anything to point me in the right direction. There are no errors in the files on server side and I have asked my hosting company too. I am hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on it.
One of my websites it giving 404 errors on links that are formed as below and there are over 12.7K of them!
Example: <mydomainurl>/www.instagram.com/www.instagram.com/<instagram username=""></instagram></mydomainurl>
The link that relates to my website is valid and working, but I don't understand the rest. I am totally stumped on how to move forward with this.
Any advice, suggestions, tips on how to fix these errors and stop these types of links getting generated.
Thanks.

You're a star Jo! Thanks so much.
Was such a simple fix. The site has been sitting there and I need to get it going again.
Just required the https to be added on the theme. Never complained it was missing.
Recrawling now so hopefully that will sort out the issues with Site Crawler, class tool! I never would have spotted it without it.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Emercarr.
Thanks for reaching out, Jo here from the Moz help team.
I had a look at your Campaign and your site and it looks like there is a link in your social panel that is creating this issue.
https://screencast.com/t/EJHCvTyFj
If you hover over the Instagram button you'll see the url in this format show up as a preview at the bottom of your browser:
<mydomainurl>/www.instagram.com/www.instagram.com/<instagram username=""></instagram></mydomainurl>
To check if this is the cause I would recommend removing the instagram link temporarily, or checking and updating the link format, and then prompting a recrawl of your site.
Please do feel free to reach out to help@moz.com if you get stuck :]
Cheers!
Jo

Has anyone had to deal with Moz crawl issues on their Zendesk support site?
If so - how did you end up resolving them? For instance we have 85 "temporary redirect" errors from our Zendesk support site in our crawl error report and we don't have access to the robots.txt file through Zendesk.

Why RogerBot can't crawl site https://unplag.com
Hello Please help me to solve the problem. The on-page grader and Crawl Test are not working for Unplag.com website. Both said that they can't access the url. Yes, I've tried different variants like unplag.com, http://unplag.com One more thing - RogerBot was disallowed in robots.txt file. I deleted it from the file a week ago so maybe moz index haven't been renewed.

Crawl Test Takes Long Time
Hi Moz, I have submitted our website for a crawl test. Usually it would only take a few hours to do the crawl. However this time, it takes quite long time and the result still shows in progress 😞 This is a small website which only contains less than 10 pages. Just wondering if this is our website setting issue or it is a technical issue at your end? Many thanks in advance. sFjAERG.png

Moz Crawler URL paramaters & duplicate content
Hi all, this is my first post on Moz Q&A 🙂 Questions: Does the Moz Crawler take into account rel="canonical" for search results pages with sorting / filtering URL parameters? How much time does it take for an issue to disappear from the issues list after it's been corrected? Does it come op in the next weekly report? I'm asking because the crawler is reporting 50k+ pages crawled, when in reality, this number should be closer to 1000. All pages with query parameters have the correct canonical tag pointing to the root URL, so I'm wondering whether I need to noindex the other pages for the crawler to report correct data?: Original (canonical URL): DOMAIN.COM/charters/search/mx/BS?search_location=cabo-san-lucas Filter active URL: DOMAIN.COM/charters/search/mx/BS?search_location=cabo-san-lucas&booking_date=&booking_days=1&booking_persons=1&priceFilter%5B%5D=0%2C500&includedPriceFilter%5B%5D=drinks-soft Also, if noindex is the only solution, will it impact the ranking of the pages involved? Note: Google and Bing are semi-successful in reporting index page count, each reporting around 2.5k result pages when using the site:DOMAIN.com query. The rel canonical tag was missing for a short period of time about 4 weeks ago, but since fixing the issue these pages still haven't been deindexed. Appreciate any suggestions regarding Moz Crawler & Google / Bing index count!

Canonicals in crawling reports
The crawling reports gives info about several meta data missing, what about the lack of a canonical tag? This would be nice too... and images without alt tag (or empty).
