SSR for SPA
-
Hi Guys,
We are operating a Single Page Application at the moment and are having difficulty to make the website rank. We are using Server Side Rendering when the user is landing on one of our SEO relevant landing page. But if the user is clicking on any link, then after clicking, the content that he gets is only client side rendered. Our assumption is that the Google Bot is going to do the following :
- Land on a page AAA, that will be server side rendered (all good)
- Navigate through the link existing on the page AAA and be exposed to the content of page BBB
- Since content of page BBB is client side rendering only, then the Bot will not be able to properly understand what it is.
- => Hence still able to crawl it but it won't rank it well.
Here our questions :
- Because SEO is critical to us, should we try to force SSR after a click ?
- How does the robot opens links ? Is it : open new tab behavior ? Because this would trigger SSR on our side.
Looking forward for your feedback

Hi there,
This is a tremendously complicated question to answer I'm afraid
The best thing I could advise you to do is to use Google Search Console and do some fetch and renders as Google.
Here are my thoughts:
- **Because SEO is critical to us, should we try to force SSR after a click ? **
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you basically mean, create additional page? If that's the case, then creating "static" pages would have make a lot of sense if you want to rank for these keywords.
- **How does the robot opens links ? Is it : open new tab behavior ? Because this would trigger SSR on our side. **
I'd suspect your best bet would be a combination of fetch and render from Search Console and checking your server logs; I don't personally think the "open new tab" behaviour is relevant here as a robot crawls the site after all.
Hopefully this starts the discussion so someone else can give you a better answer.
Nick

Gradual traffic drop of personal finance website in the last three months
Dear All, I have personal finance website https://mymoneysouq.com and the traffic dropped by less than half of what is was before last three months. I am figuring out all the possible issues and doing everything that comes to our mind to improve the quality of our website. I tried the following before posting here:1. Tried contacting website owner which we think spam and add all such domains to our disavow list2. We found little duplicate content on sites like Quora, we made those answers down by reporting to Quora3. Reported to DMCA on 3 articles articles(partial) from our website.4. We are trying improving user experience5. Removed one of our page that shared by many people but our page was not indexed by Google.6. Checked and modified content if any our articles are having more keywords than what SEO experts recommend. 7. We are working on researching more and figuring our what else can might have gone wrong with our traffic.8. Working on improving EAT I attached our traffic drop graph. I believe this drop is not natural it happened because of some issue at our end and we are not able to figure out the exact reasons.Surprisingly another site with not so high quality content started ranking now in the top.I am here to get community members/experts help on this. I could provide you if you need any further details. Thanks a lot for your time. We really appreciate any tips that you can share with us.Q2S1tlK Q2S1tlK

Website ranking stuck on 2nd page of google. How to bring it in top 10 position??
Hi I am working on a site indianhomeappliances.in that for search terms such as 'best washing machine in india' appears near the top of the 2nd page of Googl for url https://indianhomeappliances.in/best-washing-machine-in-india/ When looking at what is listed on the 1st page for 'best washing machine in india' I would appreciate any advice/guidance on what else could be done to give the site a final push to get on the 1st page of search results. I have made more than 60 backlinks along with sites from competitor analysis via moz for this page Looking at the sites that are on the 1st page I cant understand why many of them are ranking higher than me? Any insight and plan of attack would be most appreciated from any search experts on the forum. My website is 2.5 months old. Many Thanks

Ogranization Schema/Microformat for a content/brand website | Travel
Hi, One of our clients have a website specific to a place, for eg. California Tourism in which they publish local information related to tourism, blogs & other useful content. I want to understand how useful is to publish Organization Schema on such website mentioning the actual Organization, which in this case is a Travel Agency? Or any other schema would fit in for such websites?

Can you buy backlinks from fiverr?
Hi Mozers, I though a while ago I heard that buying backlinks was a no go, until I seen and read this article: I notice the guy that wrote the article suggested that you can buy backlinks from fiverr, and also just make sure they are do-follow backlinks. Can someone please correct me and perhaps clear my confusion over this. As far as I knew it was best to build backlinks by doing guest posting and engaging in relevant forums? Heres the article: http://socialmediafuze.com/10-backlink-strategies-business/ Thanks guys

Can SPA (single page architecture) websites be SEO friendly?
What is the latest consensus on SPA web design architecture and SEO friendliness?
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Robo342
By SPA, I mean rather than each page having its own unique URL, instead each page would have an anchor added to a single URL. For example: Before SPA: website.com/home/green.html After SPA: website.com/home.html#green (rendering a new page using AJAX) It would seem that Google may have trouble differentiating pages with unique anchors vs unique URLs, but have they adapted to this style of architecture yet? Are there any best practices around this? Some developers are moving to SPA as the state of the art in architecture (e.g., see this thread: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Google-crawling-websites-built-using-121615.S.219120193), and yet there may be a conflict between SPA and SEO. Any thoughts or black and white answers? Thanks.0
