Duplicate canonical tag issue
-
i have this site https://www.dealsmango.com/ which i have selected for canonical , but google is still selecting my old website https://www.selldealsmango.com/ , i have removed everything from old site only one page with new site link, and also put 301 redirect , but still when i click on request for indexing on google search console same error appears regarding duplicate canonical tag .
what should i do?
remove the canonical tag from old site which i don't want google to index, or what will be the best possible solution.

Sir ,
Thank you for replying, i will explain step by step what i have done;
Old site: https://www.selldealsmango.com/
New site: https://www.dealsmango.com/
first i have remove all pages from my old site, than only home page left, i then remove all the data from home and on that blank page i posted the new site URL. by clicking on that old site URL you will know what i am trying to explain. but i am using canonical tag for old site also.
than i have generated XML site maps of both sites and uploaded on google search console. after that i request for indexing and duplicate canonical error occurs.
in 2nd step i have put 301 redirect from old site to new site and than again i have request for indexing but error remain the same.

Oh dear this has gotten into a bit of a mess!
For a start, there's an error in your question which may be causing your to get fewer than average responses. You have embedded two links which look like they point to different pages, but you have encoded both the links in your question to point to exactly the same site (even though the text says they should be going to different URLs). This may be confusing people whom are seeking to answer your question
These are the real links for anyone who runs into this:
Old site: https://www.selldealsmango.com/
New site: https://www.dealsmango.com/
Where you say: "I have this site https://www.dealsmango.com/ which i have selected for canonical , but google is still selecting my old website" - no, you have not fully selected the new site as canonical, as the old site (here) does NOT canonical to your new site, instead the old site still canonicals to itself. The new site canonicals to itself to, but the old site does NOT canonical to the new site

Where you write: "only one page with new site link, and also put 301 redirect" - you have contradicted yourself. You say there is a 301 redirect, but also say the page is still up with a link on it. If there were a 301 redirect, all users and bots would get redirected before the page loaded and you would never see the link (at all) as pages which redirect cannot support any source code
The fact that the page is still live with a link on it, means that there is NO 301 redirect. Maybe you have redirected some sub-pages, I don't know. But your homepage is your post important page, so failing to 301 redirect that (which you have not done) is a big error. Fix that ASAP if you do nothing else
Also make sure you use Google's change of address tool from within the old property's Google Search Console dashboard:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/83106?hl=en
Even if you follow all of these steps, it may take a long time for performance to return now. That's because this migration was handled in a very strange way, what's done is done
Fix what you have implemented with a proper 301 redirect migration project down to the granular (A-to-B) URL level including historic URLs which you can pull from backlink destination data, as well as from Search Console (or analytics by blending the hostname and landing page dimensions)
You'll have to just hope for the best!

Meta Tag Descriptions not being found in Moz Crawls
Hey guys, I have been managing a few websites and have input them into Moz for crawl reports, etc. For a while I have noticed that we were getting a gratuitous amount of errors when it came to the number of missing meta tags. It was numbering in the 200's. The sites were in place before I got here and a lot of the older posts no one had even attempted to include tags, links of the page or anything. As they are all Wordpress Sites and they all already had the Yoast/Wordpress SEO plug-in installed on them, I decided I would go through each post and media file one at a time and update their meta tags via the plug in. I personally did this so I know that I added and saved each one, however the Moz crawl reports continue to show that we are missing roughly 200 meta tags. I've seen a huge drop off in 404 errors and stuff since I went through and double checked everything on the sites, however the meta tag errors persist. Is this the case that Moz is not recognizing the tags when it crawls because I used the Yoast Plugin? Or would you say that the plugin is the issue and I should find another way to add meta tags to the pages and posts on the site? My main concern is that if Moz is having issues crawling the sites, is Google also seeing the same thing? The URLS include:

I have a duplicate content on my Moz crawler, but google hasn't indexed those pages: do I still need to get rid of the tags?
I received an urgent error from the Moz crawler that I have duplicate content on my site due to the tags I have. For example: http://www.1forjustice.com/graves-amendment/ The real article found here: http://www.1forjustice.com/car-accident-rental-car/ I didn't think this was a big deal, because when I looked at my GWT these pages weren't indexed (picture attached). Question: should I bother fixing this from an SEO perspective? If Google isn't indexing the pages, then am I losing link juice? 6c2kxiZ

Is The Number of Duplicate Pages reduced after adding canonical ref to the dupe versions ?
Hi Is the number of duplicate pages reported in a dupe page content error report reduced on subsequent crawls, if you have resolved the dupe content problem via adding the canonical tag to duplicate versions (referring the original page). Like it would if you were solving the problem via a 301 redirect (i think/presume) ? Cheers Dan

Duplicate page content on / and index.php
Hi I am new to SEOmoz and in the crawl diagnostics for one of my clients it came back duplicate content on the homepage www.myclient.co.uk and on the www.myclient.co.uk/index.php which is obviously the same page. I understand that the key is to do a 301 redirect from the index to /, however how will I know that this will not just create an ever ending loop on the server? From your experience how is the best way to tackle this crawl error? Also is there a specific question that I need to ask the server?

Did anyone else see "Rel Canonical" drop to zero after their latest SEOmoz crawl?
In the Crawl Diagnostics section of the SEOmoz reports, we get errors in red, warnings in yellow, and notices in blue. After my latest crawl, I saw the "Rel Canonical" part go from about 300 down to 0. Obviously, this isn't right, so I'm wondering if this is a bug that everyone is experiencing. U9W5I

Seomoz & Duplicate Page Content Issue?
Hi, What is the criteria on Seomoz Crawl Diagnostic Report? I got a long list of URLs indicating Content that is identical (or nearly identical) to content on other pages of your site forces your pages to unnecessarily compete with each other for rankings. But as I gone through none of the reported pages duplicate. What should I do? Thanks in Advance

SEOMOZ Canonical notices using Wordpress
I keeping getting the notice from SEO Moz Crawls relating to Canonical issues. I have tried Yoast SEO, All-in-One SEO and both insert the appropriate canonical code... Can anyone help determine why the crawls report this notice? Check out seoontario.ca\testamonials for an example. Could it be because the site in my SEOMOZ crawl does not have the http:// prefix? I've now installed FV Simpler SEO, a variant of All In Once SEO, but am getting the same canonical code...
