SEOmoz API? – "Limited access is included ... PRO membership." ?
-
Can someone expand on what you actually get with your pro membership on the Site Intelligence API.
Thanks
-
Ahhh! Okay thanks
Looking forward to the updated page Personally I think that as SEOMoz is all about best practice, it would be super-cool just to pull that line out... it's confusing & misleading! 2 things I don't normally associate with the Moz team!
I am currently using the free API, but am considering the paid version... just trying to crunch some numbers and make sure we would get the ROI needed first in terms of saving time with manual checks
Cheers Casey
Mike.

Your correct that pages needs updating an in fact we have a new version rolling out in the next few weeks. As for the "premier" level access to the Site Intelligence API, this is for one of our old PRO levels call "premier". Currently we have 5 levels of PRO, they are PRO, PRO Plus, PRO Elite, PRO Agency, and PRO Enterprise. The PRO Premier level no longer exists which is why if you want access to the Site Intelligence API you need to pay for it separately from your PRO membership.

Hi, I found this question after being confused by the same page! I think this is important...
In that case the page in question should be altered, as at present it indicates that there is limited access to the site intelligence API... NOT the free one. Check it out: http://www.seomoz.org/api ->>> Quite clearly states, in the 'site intelligence API' box (e.g. NOT in the free API box, to the left of the page, but in the clearly labelled 'Site Intelligence API' box, that:
"Limited access is included with a Premier level PRO membership. You can also purchase unlimited access to this service separately."
So, if it is the FREE API that the premier level PRO membership gives a limited access to, then why is it detailed as being the Site Intelligence API? Surely that is actually false advertising? (Obviously unintentional! I really like SEOMoz! but I do think this page needs updating, so it is not advertising a benefit that isn't actually there!).
(See the image below).

Hi Josey,
As a PRO member you get access to the SEOmoz Free API, which allows you to access to 3 calls, url-metrics, links, and anchor-text. Each of those calls is limited from the full paid version and those limitations are listed on this page, SEOmoz Free API. If you have any other question please contact help@seomoz.org
Thanks!

The page I linked to above says Pro members get 'limited' access. You know how much access this is? (snippet below, from my iPhone sorry for poor formatting. . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The SEOmoz Site Intelligence API The Site Intelligence API is designed to deep dive into a site or page. It's great if you're building a robust application for internal or external use. Check out all the cool data you get. Attribution is not required. But you must follow our branding requirements *Limited access is included with a Premier level PRO membership. You can also purchase unlimited access to this service separately. ... Check out our pricing information ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hey josey, unfortunately we don't get any extra access to the api with a pro membership. You can read more about it here.

How to sift "site search" data from Google Analytics for trends
I apologize in advance if this has been asked a million times but I'm just not able to find anything on it for some reason. Probably the words "site" and "search" come up a lot in this area... Anyhow, my question: How do I find trends in "site search" data from Google Analytics? I set up "site search" a long time ago. I have thousands and thousands of searches people have made on my site logged and squirreled away. The plan was to review them on a weekly basis, find the trends and start writing content to address interests people seem to be having but not finding on our site. Sounded great at the time. The problem I have, of course, is that among my 10,000 searches (many shown in Google Analytics as "no-results:cats and dogs", etc), there are slight differences that make it difficult to total up search trends. Let's say the list is like this: Term | Search Count Cats | 500
Moz Pro | | rtkl
Dogs | 500
Cat | 250
Dog | 250
Cat food | 5
Dog food | 5
Birds | 1
Bird | 1
Cats are great | 1
Cats are really great | 1
Dogs are great | 1
I like birds | 1
Seriously, I like Cats | 1
Turtles | 1 ... 10,000 more entries, every single one only 1 search per term. OK, so it looks like people like Cats and Dogs a lot, but also Birds and Turtles. But maybe there are snake searches. Maybe there are "cat pajamas" searches and variations on all of the above. Who knows what else is really trending in there??? The review of this data is MIND-NUMBING. Especially when you get into plurality and misspellings, this rabbit hole has no bottom. Is there a tool people in the SEO jam use to take a big ole CSV dump and have it magically sorted by at least potential trends? I mean, there's gotta be, right? And I'm silly for not already knowing what it is.0 -
Do we get "Removal of "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile" when we cross 200 Moz Points? I have not received it yet, anything I can do?
Though I have only recently subscribed to Moz Pro, I have been using Moz Blog for quite some time. I recently crossed 200 Moz Points. As per Moz Points, it says "Removal of "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile" for crossing 200 points. I still dont see any links from Moz when I am using OSE. Can anyone suggest what i need to do?

Moz tools are returning "url is inaccessible"
Hello everyone, I have been trying to use the on page grader tool and I have also tried to do a site crawl test, and both tools have come back with a "Sorry, but that URL is inaccessible" error. This has not been a problem before. Any ideas why this is happening eg what is blocking it. The url is www.livinghouse.co.uk any help for a novice would be appreciated. PS. I have had another tool also not giving any results, so I assume its something on the site which is blocking the tools. Could this also block Google? Thanks Giles

Why Is SEOMOZ No Longer crawling All Of My Site
Hi all, I joined Seomoz over a month ago and Roger has been crawling all of the pages on the site approx 20 pages. Through out the last few weeks I have been working on the errors and notices identified by Roger. However, this week Roger has only re-crawled 1 page and is not picking up all the other pages. Has any one come across this problem. can you recommend any thing to resolve it? Many thanks in advance....

Can SEOMOZ do Local SEO ?
Most of our clients are local but we can not get local or regional (for example VA State or Washington DC) SERP results within SEOMOZ. it would be nice to create custom search profiles based on region (State or County) and track SERP within SEOMOZ. Ranking reports and even keyword difficulty analysis etc. within SEOMOZ are misleading for local web sites. SEOMOZ default site setup assumes every business doing SEO serves all over the US. I think it will be very beneficial if we have a choice to select State or County of local web sites during initial campaing set up at SEOMOZ. what do you think? do you know any work around of this problem? Thanks,

Is there any way to manually initiate a crawl through SEOMoz?
... or do you actually have to wait a week for the next scheduled crawl date on a particular campaign? We've just made a ton of changes to our site, and it would be helpful to know if they will generate any warnings or errors sooner rather than later. Thanks!

4xx (not found) errors seem spurious, caused by a "\" added to the URL
Hi SEOmoz folks We're getting a lot of 404 (not found) errors in our weekly crawl. However the weird thing is that the URLs in question all have the same issue. They are all a valid URL with a backsalsh ("") added. In URL encoding, this is an extra %5C at the end of the URL. Even weirder, we do not have any such URLs in our (Wordpress-based) website. Any insight on how to get rid of this issue? Thanks
