Hello. Our DA has dropped from 40 to 28. Why does moz take into account clear spam links. Not all links are created by website owners. Popular websites also see a lot of unknown spam linking. For a full overview, please see our help hub article here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority First, it's important to keep in mind that Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine result pages (SERPs). It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. The best way to influence your DA is to improve your overall site health with a focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site. How long does Moz takes to update DA and PA value?
I used to work daily on my office website https://quintdaily.com/ and follow link building strategy. however, since more than 40-50 days, there is no movement in my DA, as the PA has just lifted up. However, there is no changes in Domain Authority so far. Besides, other than this website, im working on location wise SEO projects, but, i can find those websites Domain Authority changed in less 20 days. Is there is time period in changing the Domain Authority once it touched DA 30+?

Comparing Domain Authority Scores
Since your scale (like PageRank) is a logarithmic scale, it makes it hard to judge the distance between 2 scores. Can you give me a rule of thumb. For PageRank, each jump is an exponential jump - so that a PR6 is perhaps 10 times stronger than a PR5. What is the log base that SEOMoz uses. Should I assume that a 60 is 10 times stronger than a 50? This is important when it comes to measuring progress because growth is going to get more difficult as you move up the scale and I need to communicate the distance between our current Authority score and our goal. How can a site have a backlink from Barclays website?
Hi, I have entered a competitiors website www.my-wardrobe.com into Open Site to see who they get links from and to my surprise they have a load from Barclays Business Banking. When I visit the page I can not see the links. But if I search the pages source code for my-wardrobe, there I have it, a link to my-wardrobe.com. How have they done this? Surely Barclays haven't sold them it? And more so, why are they receiving link juice when you cant even see the link on the Barclays page in question - http://www.barclays.co.uk/BusinessBanking/P1242557952664 Thanks | |
