Anyone heard of this company?
-
Looking for someone to take over our local seo - to maximize our visibility in Google Places. Currently I am looking at the company Local-One.
Has anyone heard of them or have any feedback on their website/services offered? There are so many different people out there claiming to be the best that it is overwhelming.
Thanks for the help!

Hello PMC.
I've seen you around SEOmoz for the past couple months and I recall your struggles with Google Places. If I may make a suggestion...the SEO world is unfortunately full of a huge variation in quality. I would hesitate to grab anyone based on a nice website. Since you have a large focus on local SEO and Google Places, my recommendation would be to do some google searches on those subjects. Instead of looking for websites, find blog articles and forum posts which cover those topics. Look for someone who repeatedly shares articles on those topics or responds to Q&As.
Another though to share is if you find someone you have confidence in but their rates are too high, consider hiring them for just an evaluation of your site and talk about your goals. You may be able to do a lot of the implementation work yourself and save some money that way.
Another idea for your business. In Las Vegas there are a lot of show animals. I am unsure if your clinic focuses only on traditional pets or if you are able to service some of the tigers, dolphins and other show animals. It can be great PR to share that you are the official vet for Casino XYZ.

It's hard to say. But I ran a whois on that domain. I found out that the website is still fairly new, it was created in 04-Feb-2010 Here is a link to his linkedin account. http://www.linkedin.com/in/alanearl . I can't give a conclusive opinion of this company, but just ask him for examples of their other projects.
Ask what kind of keywords his other websites targeted, and ask if you can see before and after analytics of the sites (typically a 6 month period of time is a good indication of web traffic).
To be safe, you can also ask him to put you in touch with a few of their past customers.
If everything lines up, and if you feel comfortable with the information they provide, then I say go for it.

Google instantly suspends Google+ local listing of brand new company
I just tried to create a Google+ listing for a client. It's a brand new company. As soon as I submit the listing, I get an error message: "Google has suspended your page due to quality issues." There is no content on the listing, no website, etc. Just their NAP. All I can guess is their business address or phone number is on a blacklist due to some previous tenant/owner. Does Google keep a blacklist of addresses and/or phone numbers? Any other ideas?

Can SEO companies be listed on Google Local, Bing Local, and Yahoo Local?
Can anyone confirm if SEO companies can be listed in the local results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing? I'm asking because when you search for most local terms, it will return their local listings. However, that doesn't appear to be the case when searching for SEO or marketing services - or at least none show up when searching from Houston and I'm pretty sure we have quite a few SEO companies here 😉

How should I handle a company name change at G+
Hello, I am wondering how you would suggest handling a company name change as it relates to a Google Plus page that is already setup and getting listed. Our company went through a name change this year and we want to update that info on our G+ page. Of importance to us, is that we have several excellent reviews that we don't want to lose. So, is the best way to handle this for us to go in an simply adjust the info on our G+ page or will we have to kill our current page and start over - losing our reviews? I would especially love to hear if you have experience with this scenario or a similar one. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have experience with ecinity.com as a vehicle for populating local search directories? If yes, how would you rank it as a competitor to Localeze and UBL?
I've been approached by the company to use their tool. It has functionality beyond just populating local data sources which I'm not concerned with. I just want to know how it ranks in terms of local directory coverage. They claim 85% of the local directories will be populated.

Does Anyone Have Resources for Infographs
Seeing a recent comment about promoting infographs here in the forum, I thought I might ask if anyone has any resources on getting them made, obviously they are a great way to promote and are extremely shareable becoming a link building source. I am not a graphic artist so am wondering if any of you have used someone to build them with any luck?
