Why do people try to get random pictures on the first page of reddit?
-
I'm fascinated with reddit. Yesterday I did an IAMA and got lots and lots of comments. In the comments I was able to refer back to some pages in my website which got me some traffic.
I can see the benefit of getting your website featured on reddit. But, I'm wondering how people benefit from putting random pictures on reddit (that don't link to their sites at all.) Is there something that can be done with the link karma that you get? Am I missing something?
btw...I just posted a random picture on reddit just for fun as I realized that my daughter has reddit pajamas: http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/k5kv3/i_just_noticed_that_my_daughter_has_reddit_pajamas/

How are they Reddit pyjamas? There's no up or down arrows
Pictures will almost only do well if it's a comic or hosted on imgur.
AmAs are good because of the reason you mentioned. If it's a popular AmA then you can get a lot of traffic.
News stories that make the front page can send hundreds of thousands of visits, but Redditors hate marketers with a passion, so you have to have a genuine story. Posting any old nonsense will just get you downboats.

Need strategies to transfer Google+ circles from a personal Google+ page to a business Google+ page
Hello Mozers Is there a way I can copy or capture my circles from my personal Google+ account and copy and paste or send them to my business Google+ account? Do I have to reinvite from my business account and have them add or follow me again via my business account? Any strategies for transferring over circles would be much appreciated Thanks!

LinkedIn Profile Pictures in Search
Has anyone else noticed profile pictures alongside LinkedIn profiles appearing in search, similar to websites with Google authorship enabled? I saw this happening briefly today across multiple verticals and the images seemed to be a bit larger than authorship images. It was also strange that this was happening for some profiles and not others (number of connections appeared to be irrelevant). I didn't get a chance to grab a screen cap before it was gone, but I thought this was interesting and hadn't seen it discussed anywhere else.

Does adding your google plus page help stop scrapping
I have created a site that has 100 percent original content in my business category. I have written over 100 articles myself that not only to help me rank, but most important to help the use find the right anwser to their search. I didn't farm out not one sentence of any of the content. With that said how do I prevent others from scrapping my site for this info and using it as their own. 1. Is there something to add to each page code wise that will lead them back to my site. 2. Does using the google plus help this situation in that google thinks it's yours and treats the others as duplicate content. 3. I dont mind placing this info on other sites as long as the readers know its mine. Sorry to ask such a noob question but I have spent all my time on the content and really know nothing about the coding side of things. Any help would be great. thanks

How much of an impact does Google+ page age have?
Do Google+ pages gain authority with age? Does it matter very much if I wait a few months to make a Google+ page as opposed to establishing it now, even if I won't be doing much work on it for a while?

Do you submit your stuff to reddit? And does it perform well for you?
I've recently been really interested in the content at reddit. I've actually gotten some good content for my facebook page and stuff to blog about by reading what is trending there. I haven't had any success in submitting anything though. No one votes for my stuff. 😞 I'd love any tips from those who successfully use reddit.
