Facebook code used in Huffington Post

I like the call-to-action button that HuffPo uses on its FB button, where with one click, a user on their site can 'Like' their main page on Facebook without actually having to go there (assuming that they're logged in, of course). I'd love to use it on my site but...
I'm trying to understand how this works. It seems like it's a custom wrapper, as i'm not seeing the toolset in dev tools (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ etc)
Anyone know about this?

I'm afraid I'm not 100% sure what you're looking to do but at a guess - you want to know how to add the Facebook 'like' button so people can become fans without leaving the site or visiting your page on Facebook?
There's at least two different plug-ins they're using to achieve this - the first is a simple 'like button' taken from the page you've linked too. Just use the wizard to create the code and insert into your page where you'd like it to appear.
The other method appears to be the box that pops up when you hover over the Facebook icon in the 'HUFFPOST SOCIAL NEWS' section. In this case they're using the following Facebook plugin
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/
If you're looking for the exact same look and functionality just uncheck 'show stream'.

Hi there, I'm currently looking to set up a Facebook Group for an Education Recruitment Business I am working with. We're setting up the Facebook group to foster a sense of community and collaboration with our current teachers. I'm currently in the process of drawing up a list of rules and regulations for our first group. What's your preference - regurgitate content on social media or just post it the once?
Hi All, Not been on the forums for a while and this isn't really an SEO question. How do you feel about Twitter feeds that constantly regurgitate the same content. It's pretty much industry standard on most pages but if the content is yours, no affiliates or other people are involved - is it really necessary to plug the same 500 word blog post over and over? Personally, I don't like it. I think it looks spammy and unprofessional and in all honesty, I unfollow pages regularly because of it.. What do you guys think? Am I squandering content by not regurgitating? Happy Monday all - Jamie

Trying to find a WP application (that does not require a FB application) that synchronizes website blog posts with a company facebook page
I'm not a developer and it's been about 5 years since I helped a client synchronize their wordpress blog posts with their FB page. I remember it being much simpler to do this in the past. However recently I'm noticing that all of the WP auto post applications require a Facebook application to get the synchronization to function properly.

Facebook Page is not getting rank on Google
I'm trying to rank one of my client's Facebook link on Google. It was on page 3, few months back but now It is no where. Opinions on offering an incentive/discount for Facebook sharing
I often see sites offering a discount for liking their Facebook page, but very rarely do I see sites offering a discount for sharing a link or their page. What are your opinions of this, is it something that Facebook could frown upon? Are people likely to just share, get the discount and then remove the post etc?
