How can I get ranking keys of competitors

Sometimes it might be clever to analyse the stategy of a competitor to see with which keys they rank successfully. For example I have a webshop, so I type in amazon.com and seomoz spits out: books, dvds, ... I can now see with what keys i wont have a chance and can think of missing keys where my chance might be. Is there a possibility to find out with seomoz?

Check their keyword metatags and titles... the keyword listed there are the ones they want to rank for. Then launch a rank checker to see how they perform.

both great tools. SEOmoz has a ton of tools as well.. if you setup campaigns, you can also add competitors and track their wins / fails as well.

The term extractor tool is very useful, and I use semrush.com if I want to check what a competitor ranks highest for.

Not sure if this is part of the PRO package or available to all, but http://www.seomoz.org/term-extractor and the Keyword Difficulty Tool are both helpful.
A shameless plug for SEOmoz here is I have never regretted having the pro membership.

Re: How can i increase DA of my website? Someone told me giving out do-follow links from my site will reduce my site DA. I am not sure if this is true, but I recently noticed a drop in my two websites DA Insigh.ng and BusinessWorld.Arica. For the first one, Insight.ng, my DA was 26 before but dropped to 22. I have later been able to boost it to 24 tho. According to the person, he said giving do-follow links from my websites will reduce my DA. Ranking keyword ecommerce product
Hi guys, I run an ecommerce store footdistrict.com. We sell sneakers. My question relates to the name of some of my products and how to rank for them. This concerns to the shoes from New Balance The name of this products follows this format: New Balance XXNumberXXX . But actually I have realized I am ranking for New Balance XXNumber XXX . Note the space between the number and the last 3 characters. All my titles, h1, keywords follow this format. Example: New Balance WL574 RUP vs New Balance WL574RUP My questions are: 1. How would you determine which keyword to rank for: New Balance XXNumberXXX or New Balance XXNumber XXX? I have thought of using analytics data to see the pattern of the users search or maybe the difficulty of the keyword? I am receiving a decent amount of traffic for New Balance XXNumber XXX but I wonder if it'd be higher ranking for New Balance XXNumberXXX 2. Does the algorithmn take into account this space? According to the On page Grader, I have an A for New Balance XXNumber XXX and a F for New Balance XXNumber XXX but I assume the engine doesn't work this way 3. What would you do? Checking multiple keywords in Rank tracking
Besides the rankings in the campaigns i want to check 100+ keywords at once in rank tracking. Is this possible and if not why? It says i can check 400 keywords a day but manually entering them is time consuming and that's exactly why i use SEOMOZ, to save time.

Mixed up Rankings
I was checking my ranking reports and double checking them on Google to see if it match. My rankings was updated today on seomoz and almost none of the rankings match the real thing. For example I have a rank that in seomoz says 9th place and i am checking it at google and it says 6th. Is there a possible explanation? I am in a need of an answer as soon as possible. Why am I getting different ranking results on Google?
Because the rank checker on SEOMOZ is temporarily down for upgrade, I followed the link over to the other suggested rank checker on seobook.com which installs a plug-in to Firefox and it seems to be working fine….BUT my question is when I check out my two highest traffic keywords which are “Whitby holiday cottages” and “Whitby cottages” against my website www.endeavourcottage.co.uk it tells me I'm ranking position 2 on both Google.com and Google.co.uk but I don't think I am. When I do the same check using a proxy server called hidemyass.com to check my rankings again on Google.co.uk and .com I appeared to be lower down the rankings like position 8. Does anyone have any idea of which is the accurate reference to my rankings? What do you do to check your rankings ? And one last quick secondary question is when I searching Google chrome using same key words again I come at the top position A on the Google maps listing but using Firefox or Internet Explorer there is no Google maps visible ways that? At the end of the day out rankings are important but where are working towards more traffic...... Cheers

Ranking Tracker not correct?
Over the last 6 weeks I've been linkbuilding for one of my customers. The search term is: bed and breakfast portugal. It is not easy but we are making progress. The goal is the number 1 page (top 10 results) in Google.nl I've been keeping score with Rank Tracker and also created a campaign. Last week we were still ranked 11 (for some time already) according to Rank Tracker but tuesday we made a jump to number 7. Whoehoe you would say but opening up Chrome and Firefox browser I am still seeing www.bedandbreakfast-casaceedina.com on the 2nd page? Maybe somebody can give me an explanation? I've de-personalized my search and also Rank tracker show s the command they are using: http://www.google.nl/search?q=bed+and+breakfast+portugal&pws=0 However also using that I'm not seeing my client back at position 7. How can the Rank tracker information be so wrong, I was hoping not off course 🙂 Your help is appreciated very much.

How Can I Find All Backlinks
How can I use site explorer to find out which sites are linking to us thousands of times. It says we have over 300,000 total links pointing to our site. I'm thinking there are some sitewide links from other site(s) making up most of that, but I can't seem to locate it/them?
