Why is comunicatedepresa.net ranking better than comunicatedepresa.ro for the term "comunicate de presa"
Absolutely ALL the factors (links, domains linking, authority, onpage etc) seem to say that comunicatedepresa.ro should have ranked better.
-
no, it's very important, i just thought that you had a tool to mesure link juice to a page (other than pr or authority).
Thanks for the answer

My statement was "the .ro site has 306 links on the result page vs 130 links on the .net site. At this quick glance, it appears the .net site does a much better job of managing it's internal link juice".
The site is in Romanian and I can't read the language. I brought up the topic as it is an area which I would suggest investigating. If you feel the matter is not important, feel free to disregard that advice.
-
I understand what you are saying but, why did you assume that the ammount of link juice that goes on the .net homepage is greater than the amount of linkjuice on .ro homepage? (did you have a tool for that or is it just an assumption?).
i know that page rank is just a raw indicator but the .ro page has pr 7 and the .net page has pr 3
thanx for the reply btw.

I brought up the number of internal links on a page to share an example of an area I noticed where the .net site was better optimized from a SEO perspective.
I agree with you the .ro site has higher DA.
If we have more links than them to the page how cand we have less internal link juice?
You control the flow of link juice throughout your site. Ideally you want to direct the flow of link juice to your more important pages. This direction happens by choosing which pages to link to and where the links appear. I was only on your site for about 2 minutes, but in that time it seemed as if you were trying to link to too many pages rather then selectively linking to the more important pages. If you perform some analytics on your site, it is highly likely you will mind a majority of those 300+ links are simply not used. I would recommend you remove any unused links to better manage your internal link value.

If we have more links than them to the page how cand we have less internal link juice? (by linking to other pages the the wan in cause and splitting the page rank?...this does not explain the diference since the domain authoriy of the .ro page is higher)

A brief analysis of the two sites results in Google.ro for the term "comunicate de presa" shows:
-
both sites benefit equally from an exact match domain
-
both sites titles are identically formatted with the search term first followed by four additional terms
-
the .ro result has superior pa/da of 59/52 vs the .net site 38/35 showing in favor of the .ro site
-

the .ro site used header and alt tags appropriately to provide support of the key phrase, whereas the .net site did not
I can't read Romanian so I was unable to check for cannibalization or other issues.
Based on the visible factors, I agree the .ro site appears stronger. There are many factors which Google has visibility to which we do not. A few examples are:
1. What are the site's metrics such as bounce rate?
2. The quality of the links. PA/DA are based on "pure" analysis of the linking page's value and number of links on a page. Google makes adjustments for where links appear (i.e. footer vs in content), various penalties which may affect linking sites, etc. Google may also offer more weight to links from specific sources.
3. Other signals. There are tons of ways Google can read signals to help determine a site's legitimacy. Business records related to the site (trademarks, licenses, etc), physical address listings, Google Places listing, etc. Google may be valuing unknown sources of information and adjusting ranking accordingly.
I know this situation is frustrating and I have seen it before. My first suggestion would be to adjust what you can control, your internal linking. Next, examine your competitor's back links to see what links they have earned and you do not have.

How to track ranking in local area?
When I track a keyword ranking with the Ranking Tool, are the results for my geographic area? So, how would I track a keyword in another location? As in, another state? Thanks,

Crawl results on keyword rankings differ from actual search rankings
For the second week in a row, the weekly keyword rankings in my MOZ account show "not in top 50" for most keywords. However, when I check some of my rankings I still broadly have the rankings that I used to have. It seems that the MOZ crawl is experiencing some difficulties. Does anyone have suggestions how to find out what's going on? If I can't rely on the crawl outcomes, then the tool is not very useful anymore!

Does Keyword Tracker rank eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are?
This might be a confusing question but hopefully I can explain it well enough and someone is able to understand where I am coming from. I have used the Keyword Analysis Tool to search the keyword "alice in wonderland fancy dress", the results come back saying that the competition for this keyword is 24%, which I consider to be pretty low. When I look at the Page Authority, Page Linking, Domain Authority and Domain Linking of each site which rank in the top 10 for this keyword I see that places 4 - 7 are taken by eBay links. I then look at the bottom three places (8 - 10) and although their Page Authority and Page Linking is not very high, their Domain Authority and Domain Linking is reasonable. Based on the results I have seen for other keyword, who's overall competition % was higher than 24%, I thought to myself that these bottom three links were actually quite strong, which made me ask the question "why has this keyword got a competition % as low as 24%?". I then wonder whether it was because the Keyword Analysis Tool ranks the eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are? My question to you guys: Does Keyword Tracker rank eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are? Or can anyone explain why the competition % for this keyword is so low but the bottom three links are actually relatively strong? And how do the eBay links rank higher than these bottom three links? Yes the eBay links are relative to the keyword but these eBay links are ranking higher solely on the fact that the Domain Authority is so high and have very little SEO in relation to the keyword, does Google not recognise that the bottom three websites would be more beneficial to customers than the eBay links? And if the eBay links are ranking so high solely on the fact that the Domain Authority is so high then shouldn't they be in the top 10 for almost every product related keyword? Thanks in advance.

Site Ranking Report
Hi guys, My site ranking report says that I've gone from being 1-20 for a variety of keywords in Google UK to not in the top 50. When I do a search myself I see that my site remains where it previously was (between 1-20). How reliable is the site ranking reporting on a weekly basis? Is it best to look at it monthly?
