Trying to use the SEOmoz link building tools but...

all of the directories that are listed seem to be based in the US for US companies - am I missing something?
By the way my target audience is solely based in the UK,
Thanks,
Jason

Jason, actually I prefer softball questions
Value depends on what you need and want. With Yahoo directory if you look at $299 and then look at what can be obtained at that cost for other directories or submissions it might not be. But, if you have a single site that you want to promote, are in need of quality level of Yahoo, etc. it might be a good spend.
In the U.S., for clients who have multiple sites in services or professions as opposed to an eCommerce site, it is not as good a value for sure. Can you find a couple of high quality submission sites, spend that same amount and possibly get two to three times the value? I think it is possible.Really hope that helps.

One thing to do is to request a feature along this line as SEOmoz does monitor the Q&A and the staff is responsive. Here is link to features request
There are also a lot of European members on moz, so hopefully a few more will pick up on this as well and provide direction.
I am also throwing in a link to a thread on submission sites, etc. I have used a couple and as yet have no opinion but some are Indian based and obviously do business with European clients. You should also look at this thread as there are some gems: Dmoz submission, Yahoo directory, etc.
Best

And you´re a lucky guy. I work just for Spanish companies. Tools work fine to compare my competition and take a look into their linkbuilding. I use Link aquisition assistant just have to translate terms to spanish. In your case maybe you can replace them with typical UK words.
The directory list is still usefull for me because some of them are worth getting a link from even if they are not european oriented.
But it seems like a very good and useful tip for Seomoz to pay some more attention to Europe.

Quickest way to build links?
I'm in furniture e-commerce. I'm not new to e-commerce but I am new to SEO as I used to just hire everything out. What is the quickest way to build or should I say earn links? So far I've just been contacting bloggers and I've built about 4 links through guest posts in the past month. The problem is I can't tell if this is good or bad. I also contacted a niche directory and they liked my content so they are going to include my website in their directory for free next week. Should I continue doing what I'm doing? Do I need to be more aggressive? Suggestions? Thanks guys.

Link Building On a Budget
Hello! We are a small online business with a tight budget. Most of the content, social, ppc is done in-house to keep things under control & cost down. Can anyone suggest a local or offshore link building agency that we can trust or that someone else has used with good success? Some of the local agencies we've contacted quoted us 150-200/mth per keyword, is that typical? Has anyone been successful with agencies overseas? Thank You!!

Hey People 🙂 We run an ecommerce site and we research and wrote articles on health topics , and we post the references on the articles in posts ( Magento site / Wordpress for articles ) Should I be putting rel=nofollow in the outbound links or not? I have read a few different posts but none seem to definitively fit my situation. Kind Regards

Webmaster Tools Links
Am new to SEO so please be kind. I am working on link building (amongst other things) and notice that Google Webmaster Tools displays different links (and with different values) than Open Site Explorer. Some high value links which show up on Webmaster do not appear on OSE and vice versa. Which is the most accurate?

Link Building PR versus topic
Regarding link building, what counts the most in terms of PR and relevance(topic). Is it whether, the link comes from a domain/page with high domain/page rank or that the link come from a domain with similar/relevant content? I know, we should always aim to get links from domains with both relevance and good page rank. But which is most important? For example: If we have a web site about swiss made watches. Should i focus on getting links from other domains with information about swiss made watches. Or can i achieve just as good link juice, by getting links from un-related web sites with high PR? We will of course get more qualified traffic from related domains. But from a pure search ranking, what plays the biggest factor?
