What Facebook Content to Post

They recently added facebook. I told them for posting on the wall to do the following:

Identify your target audience, possible people to like us

Identify what they really really are searching for on Facebook and the web, and give it to them.
How could we improve on this strategy.
At first my boss wanted to post article sinippits and links to the articles, but I told him to create facebook content with the above (1) and (2) strategy

Never assume that you understand you audience.
You don't.
Learn from your audience.
Observe what they engage. Make note of it.
Observe what they ignore. Make note of it.
Give them more of what they want and less of what they don't... but don't bore them with repetition.
Never assume that you understand what they want... because they will want different things over time and as your audience changes.
Finally... It is possible that only a small group of your audience is your real target population. They are the important ones. Don't let single voices steer you - unless they are voices that you must heed or voices that give great advice.

Remeber you have to convert to sales, it is no use getting too far way from your end goal just to get exposure if you cannot convert it back to sales.
I am not a big believe in social media, i assume in certain industries it would be good, but in many industries iit just not what facebook users are looking for.

The suggestions you made are a good start, however why not something that involves humor in that field like a short comic strip. PICTURES have to have pictures of the people who work their, when they are working, when they are out and about. Pictures are critical for social media it tells the followers that the company is real and the people exist. Good luck on your quest good sir!

I have a weird issue that I just cant fathom so I thought I'd ask you guys. One of my clients sites: positivepathfoudation.org has social bookmarks as we all do but the Facebook link when clicked on mobile (I have ios) shows a broken link when the address is correct and works when opened in desktop. How to track the performance of my guest blog posts?
I am doing some guest blog posting.and I want to measure how successful my effort was: when deciding the value of the links from the article Does google take into account how many times the article is read? Because some people do not bother taking further actions (like/share/clicks) even they like it. how do you guys check the amount of reader of those articles? I can't track this article views through analytics obviousely. On the other hand let say the article create valuable info to the readers (many people read it) but no likes/shares/bookmarks would this still be a successful article marketing?

Good idea to include links in Facebook posts teaser-text?
Hi guys, I'm wondering; is it a good idea (for the engines primaliry) to include links with targeted keywords in facebook posts. From a user perspective I would say it's not desirable. But I'm wondering how Google and co treat links which they find there. They are nofollowed, yes. They are indexed however but when I want google to show me the text-only version of the cached page I receive an 404 error which is odd. Anybody else getting the 404 from google? How to set default landing page in Facebook fan page?
I want to set default landing page over my Facebook fan page. I have checked Manage Permissions segment on my Facebook fan page settings. But, I am not able to find out facility over there. Like my Facebook Page or my Facebook URL?
Like many other companies or company has a site and a Facebook page. With the Facebook like button your can either specify a url or a Facebook Page. So I don't know what would be better to get more 'likes' or if I need both? My thoughts: More people liking the Facebook Page then we can post updated to more people that will show on their wall. More url likes, I think this might have (or will have) effect on search engine rankings. The more people that like your url the higher it could be in rankings. I don't really want both as most people won't go through the trouble to 'like' both plus it is confusing. Please let me know your thoughts or strategy.

Are Facebook page updates indexed in Google search?
I seem to remember an update where Google said it was going to include Facebook page updates into Google search, but perhaps that was a deal that fell through? If updates ARE appearing in Gooogle search, how do I troubleshoot a Facebook page where they are not?
