RE: Footer copyright year statement. good or bad
Copyright notices are really just a signal for the users, and to say "don't steal our stuff" in somewhat of a non-forceful way. People can generate the year automatically, but sometimes they just forget to include it.
Is it a big deal to have an older date? Probably not. Google has a number of other ways they could check a page's freshness aside from a completely arbitrary copyright date.
An interesting note about copyright, you don't really have to display a copyright notice in the first place. As soon as you create something, it's already considered "copyrighted."

RE: How can I pass the Search Term into a lead form?
We don't assign any session ID's, but I did find this post that I think I could use as a starting point.

Of course, I would be performing a different set of actions, and would like it to work for Yahoo/Bing as well.

How can I pass the Search Term into a lead form?
We receive lead forms from interested visitors that include their name, email, grade level, and academic goals, and we would like to also know which specific phrase they used when searching for us.
I need to find a way to grab the referring keywords and pass them as a hidden form field.
Can this be done, and are there scripts available that can do this?

RE: Multiple sites linking back with pornographic anchor text
I've heard of black-hats linking to competitors using adult websites and terms to catch their competitors in the safe search filters. I'm not sure that's what is happening here, but I'd keep an eye on it.
Have you seen any drop in organic since you started noticing these links?

RE: BOTW listing
Those are the top three for any website. You might consider joeant.com or a few of the other high-ranking directories.
Also added the BBB to the list, thanks to this article.

RE: BOTW listing
First of all, good links are hard to come by. Either you know someone, or you can pay a lot for a review fee.
BOTW is probably near the top of any SEO's inbound link checklist. If you have the budget, the $150 is worth it. Although your category might not get a lot of traffic, you still earn an inbound link from a new domain, which provides some upward pressure on your search listings.

RE: SEO Benefit from Redirecting New Exact Match Domains?
Recently google has really downplayed the importance of exact match domain names. If the domain name is newly registered it probably hasn't earned any links yet, and therefore wouldn't pass any SEO value.

RE: Sharethis vs addthis
The most common services we see through addthis are actually facebook and email.
zharriet has a good point. You could really do the same thing with a few icons and skip the javascript.

RE: Does a CDN affect search rankings?
As far as I know, the urls of your additional resources such as images, css, and scripts shouldn't affect your SEO either way.

First of all, What is Remarketing?
In case you've been living under a rock for the past year, Remarketing is a form of interest-based advertising used by Google. Joanna Lord did a great job of explaining it here on this post about Remarketing. The short version is that you tag a visitor who comes to your website with a browser based cookie, then Google uses that cookie to serve your display ads across the web.
