Interlinking articles and posts
-
I have many articles and blog posts on my site. How should I interlink them for the MOST benefit to my root domain. For example, should I consider pointing pages with higher SEOMoz page rank or trust to those with lower rank? Or does that not matter?
-
Of course it is a factor to take into consideration but certainly never the only one.
-
If the same principle of passing page authority through external links applies to internal links, then I guess it makes sense to take this into consideration, but I would make it a secondary consideration.
-
I understand. All things being relevant... would you EVER consider Page Authority or Moz Rank AT ALL to decide which pages you link to first?
-
I agree with cees, you need to think about the user experience here.
Would the link provide a benefit to the reader? i.e. does it link to a page with more information about the topic being described in the article?
If so, and it's genuinely helpful, then do it, but if you're linking for the sake of linking, I'd think twice as the site could come across as a bit spammy.
-
First of all look for relevant link opportunities. If you want to link to your root domain do it from articles with have strong relevance with your main keywords of the root domain. Use a keyword in the article as anchor text to link back to your root. Having relevant text in the article around the link with synonims of the kewywords is also important.
It is also very important to consider if the links are user friendly. Don´t overdo things. Don´t put too many links in each article. Try to imagine yourself as a reader of the article and consider if the link can be useful for your visitor.
The Moz rank should not be the most important factor for linking.
Relevance and usability that´s what count.

Does Dofollow links from forumn profiles, blog comments, business directories or article directories etc have any impact?
Hi guys, So looking at my competitors in my city a lot of the people ranking on 2nd, 3rd pages and so forth have little or no quality backlinks, instead, their links are all from business directories, forum profiles and blog comments. I saw google employees saying easy to create links hold very little value and it's easy for the algorithm to distinguish been easy to obtain backlinks and difficult ones. From what I see on my competition backlink profiles, they may not get them to the front page but they do get them to pages, two three and four. I was wondering if creating say 20-30 easy links per week and also focus on obtaining high-quality backlinks. Would they be any penalties for 20-30 easy to make links a week from Google? Cheers

Does adding relevant keywords to social postings help with SEO?
I was doing some research on social postings and SEO and couldn't really find the answer to my question. Would adding in SEO keywords help with my site's relevancy or would it just help boost my site because of backlinking? For example if I were to add a new Facebook post "Check out these great new blue widgets " help more than "Check out these new products "? Thanks!

Is it safe to submit the same article to multiple sites?
Hello, I am just getting into SEO and I need some guidance with article submissions. I have read in many different places that submitting articles to other sites (EzineArticles, Digg, Etc.) is a great way to build links back to your site. My question is, can I submit articles already posted on our site to these sites or is it best to write new articles?

Why articles submitted to squidoo not indexed by google
Hi, I have written a few articles and uploaded to squidoo/hubpage last month and they have been accepted and I can see the links in the articles. But they dont appear in the latest link report from Google Webmaster Tools. Is it because it's delay or Google simply wont treat them as valid links? Thanks

Commenting on an old post
I've been playing around with OSE and found one of my competitors has a decent link coming from a post created in 2008. It only has two comments, one from my competitor with a link back to his site. The page has a PA: 55, it seems like an easy link but since the post is 3 years old im not sure its appropriate even though commenting is open. Any thoughts?

Are Guest Post Anchor Text Links Evil?
Hi, In the recent free SEOMoz webinar about What's Ailing the Linkgraph, Rand Fishkin says that corporations try to get anchor text guest posts on his wife's blog and he suggests this is manipulative. Do you agree that anchor text links in guest posts are manipulative? Do you think that Google will take action against this tactic in the future? Thanks!
