How to migrate "friends" to likes on a new facebook corporate account

Hi,
My client, which is a university department, used a regular facebook page to manage some 800 friend on a personal Facebook page. How would you go about convincing the friends to switch to "likees" on a new corporate account? Is holding a giveaway my best bet? Any other ideas?

If you would like to convert your profile (timeline) to a Page, click begin here.
When you convert your profile (timeline) to a Facebook Page, we'll transfer your profile pictures and add all of your friends and subscribers as people who like your page.
No other content will be carried over to your new page, so be sure to save any important content before beginning your migration.
To avoid losing important content, we recommend taking these steps before you convert your profile (timeline):
- Download your profile (timeline) information. You can download a filethat contains all of your sent and received messages and all of the photos and videos you’ve uploaded to Facebook.
- Appoint a new group admin or a new Facebook Page admin to any groups or pages that you manage. The account you’re converting will lose these admin rights during the conversion process.

A well thought out structured campaign to not only inform, but also entice them to "Like" would be best.
The one benefit you have is... You have a direct connection to all those 800 people as a "person" so getting the message out will be a little easier.
Once you create the correct set up Page (Make sure the original "person" account is an admin) and you can send out "Like" request using "Invite Friends"
But yes enticing them would be smart as well (I would setup an Advanced Targeted PPC campaign)
Set up a Sweepstakes app that only allows for entry upon "Like" (If you do not have app experience a good workaround is North Social)
Set up Facebook PPC campaign to app -
Set up the advanced Connection Targeting option for that app (Only show my ad to friends of "Your Page here")
Verify that the "Person" account who is friends with the 800 people has "Liked" this page
Now only the people who are friends with "person" account will see, and for every like you gain you will gain more targeted exposure as the ad will now be shown to every persons firends who likes the page.
I would say your bid would be around 0.93 per click or so...

Hi I am fully aware of how to do facebook paid advertising but I follow a page called: https://www.facebook.com/GiveMeSport/ They know that I am a Liverpool fan (might a filled out a survey once or some other way, but they know I support the greatest football team on the planet) however they only ever show me Liverpool articles in my feed and they are organic. How to regain Facebook Page Authority - For page badly affected with spam users
Case- company Facebook page has more than 10K users and almost 50% are spam. When this happens, edge rank of the page is badly affected (because spam users are not interested in your shared content so they hide you/remove you from feed and of course never engage). Not to mention Facebook released an update end of 2014 where page will have less visibility anyway compared to user updates. Overall the Page updates get very less exposure / impressions Now only solution is to remove this huge no of spam users one by one or by an API. Question - Does removing the spam users regain the authority of the page ? Does that solve the overall issue ? What are the other solution to fix the situation ? Thanks.

How about the new Google Plus cover images?
I logged into several accounts this morning and have noticed Google Plus has changed their cover images/layout... again! When I edit the cover image, it only allows me to pick the old ratios. What do you think? Here to stay? Was there an announcement or anything about this?

Any suggestions on how to present the 500 hotels within their facebook page so that they generate maximum traffic and interaction? No intention to offer checkout on facebook. Facebook and Google+ Not Properly Picked Up
Hello, I have been having issues for some time now getting my Google+ and Facebook activity to show in the social media section of site explorer. Was anyone else having this same issue? Facebook guidlines for NPO
I've been trying to help a local chapter of a non-profit organisation set up a Facebook page (for free!) but the idea has been refused at the national level. I think from a lack of understanding of what good Facebook can do for their communication because even the page created for the whole NPO is very low on fans and hardly ever updated. I've got plenty of examples of NGOs doing well on Facebook. But what I'd love to find an example of an NGOs doing good work on Facebook through local chapters and (in my dreams) get my hands on guideline document that explains to local chapters how they should go about creating the page in accordance with the NGOs. I'm having a problem implementing facebook sharing
Hi. Hopefully someone can help me out here. I have created a quiz on one of my sites that hopefully will be good linkbait. But I'm having some issues with figuring out how to best get users to share this on facebook. The quiz consists of two pages. The first contains each of the questions. I use jquery to hide and show each question. Then, the second is the results page. The results page has a dynamically generated title and shows a sharable badge depicting their results. So, for one user the results page may say, "I scored 100% on ABC Quiz!" and show a 100% badge. Another user may see, "Apparently I know nothing about ABC! I scored 16% on the quiz!". (Just examples, of course.) If I use the facebook share button, the url that gets shared is the results page and obviously I don't want knew users ending up on the results page. I tried using a rel canonical on the results page (pointing to the original page) but then the dynamic title doesn't get shared. Can anyone help?
