In webmaster tool I have many duplicate url tagged as google_shopping
Obviously i'm tagging the url with the goog url builder
Url:
elettrodomestici.yeppon.it/cura-corpo/tagliacapelli/remington-tagliacapelli-funzionamento-rete-ricaricabile-lame-in-acciaio-inox-hc5150-garanzia/
Duplicate url:
elettrodomestici.yeppon.it/cura-corpo/tagliacapelli/remington-tagliacapelli-funzionamento-rete-ricaricabile-lame-in-acciaio-inox-hc5150-garanzia/?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=web&utm_content=Elettrodomestici+e+Clima+%3E+Cura+del+corpo+%3E+Tagliacapelli&utm_campaign=google_shopping
How can I solve it?
Thanks

Usually, Google is pretty good about ignoring those, but if the links are crawlable via the Google Shopping engine, it could be a problem. One big problem - you have canonical tags in place, but they dynamically set to whatever version the person landed on. So, the canonical tag for the Google Shopping version reads:
That should never be the case - it should be set to the actual canonical version (without the parameters after the "?"). By setting it this way, you're reinforcing the problem. If you can't fix the canonical tag, then remove it - having it this way is worse than not having it.
Fixing the canonical is your best solution, but if that's not possible, then remove it and use Google Webmaster Tools parameter handling to block the utm_source parameter. It's not the ideal solution, but it should do the trick.

Google Analytics: Trackbacks & Network Referrals?
Buon Pormeriggio from 15 degrees C mostly cloudy Wetherby UK 🙂

Whats the difference between Trackbacks & Network referrals within Google analytics social media reporting? I'd like to specifically understand why a link to site i'm working on withing this post:
http://huddled.co.uk/huddled-interviews-nicola-schaefer-from-liverpool-fc-e-l-i-t-e-s-8335/ is classed as Trackback & not a Network refferral 😞 Illustrated here is the link thats being recorded as a track back:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/track-back-query_zpsbab2679b.jpg And here is the data:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/google-trackbacks-2_zps2861fa17.jpg But why is not showing up in Network referrals? Thanks in advance,

Setting up goals in Google Analytics
Hello! This question is seems so obvious that I'm also ashamed to ask... almost. If the goal of a website is to have a visitor complete a contact form, when setting up the Goal in Google Analytics (as a "URL destination") the URL of choice would be the form's thank you page, correct? Because that's the page that proves the visitor completed the task we want them the achieve. Right? Thanks!

Google Analytics & Omniture Discrepancies
I am seeing a significant difference between my traffic numbers in Google Analytics and Omniture (Omniture has significantly more). I do not expect them to report exactly the same numbers but these are just too far off. Any idea why that is, or which one I should trust more? Thanks!

Google Analytics underreporting
I have a site selling items, I use paypal buttons and get a report using ipn back from paypal telling me when I have sold a item. I also have a Google analytics event setup on the button, and one on the confirmation page.
Reporting & Analytics | | AlanMosley
For example in the last few days I have sold over 10 items from the website, but have only 2 events from the button and none from the confirmation page. The confirmation page depends on the user getting redirected back from PayPal so I can see that being upper reported, but there is no way you can buy without clicking the button.
I have the chrome addon from google to debug your analytics code and it fires every time.
The figures seem to report only about 20% of events over a long period of time. If it was not working at all, I could assume I have not set things up correctly but this is not the case, I get a regular flow of events but at about 205 of sales.
I am very disappointed with GA, seems a waste of time. anyone else had the same expirence?0 -
Exporting Keywords in Google Analytics
In the old Google Analytics, I would simply add &limit=30000 in the URL. Does anyone know how to export all keywords from the new Google Analytics?

Is Google able to determine duplicate content every day/ month?
A while ago I talked to somebody who used to work for MSN a couple of years ago within their engineering department. We talked about a recent dip we had with one of our sites. We argued this could be caused by the large amount of duplicate content we have on this particular website (+80% of our site). Then he said, quoted: "Google seems only to be able to determine every couple of months instead of every day if the content is actually duplicate content". I clearly don't doubt that duplicate content is a ranking factor. But I would like to know you guys opinions about Google being only able to determine this every couple of X months instead of everyday. Have you seen or heard something similar?

Tracking Referring Sources - Google Analytics - Ecommerce
I need some help from anyone that has deal with this issue before.. We are currently running BigCommerce for the shopping cart on chinamist.com. We have enabled e-commerce tracking through Google Analytics and the revenue tracks perfectly. The only issue is that the referring sources are not tracking directly to the revenue being displayed - for the source, all analytics shows is (none). The assumption is that the tracking issue is a result of having a domain and subdomain.. but 'domain and subdomain' was selected when setting up the sites' advanced analytics script. Does anyone have any tips? We've run into a dead end here.. One final note, we're running an Adwords campaign which is showing conversions through the Adwords side of reporting. After integrating the Adwords and Analytics accounts, the analaytics account is still not showing revenue/conversions from Adwords as a source. Appreciate the feedback.
