Connecting facebook and twitter to your wordpress blog?
-
Does anyone know a good plugin for connecting facebook and twitter to your wordpress blog? I’d like it so when i make a new post on my blog it automatically displays on my facebook/twitter

You are thinking of Facebook widgets, you can find them here: http://www.facebook.com/badges/
This allows you to post content from Facebook to other sites, so what you are looking for should be there.

Is there a plugin or service like Twitterfeed that will post your Facebook updates to your wordpress blog?

This is a great answer, I was in need of this exact type of service. Kudos!

You don't want a wordpress plugin. You want to go to twitterfeed.com. here you create an account, tell them where your rss feed is located, and then it automatically checks your feed every hour for new entries. If there is something new, it will post it to twitter, facebook or other social sites in the format you request. I use it for all my wordpress sites, works great.
One formatting issue, you do have to make sure your feed has a date and time. This is how it checks for new content. I would recommend getting your feed on feedburner first, then registering it with twitterfeed.

Knowledge base for seo, announcing new articles on blog (dupe content)
Hi all, Im thinking of creating a knowledge base with all many asked questions in my company. This could be a great Link-bait source but also nice ranking opportunities i think. But sometimes some new articles are so actual that i also want to blog them.

Blog on domain or sub-domain
Hi, I am looking to incorporate a blog that currently sits on another domain into my site. I am not sure whether to do this as part of my domain or as a sub-domain e.g. mydomain.com.au/blog blog.mydomain.com.au I can see the benefits from an SEO perspective for both but just wanted some advice on the best way to go.

Blog Benefits
I read a very interesting answer by Andy Solo to a previous question in which he replied: "Use your blog to create some Tips & How-To's, optimize those blog entries for the long tail keywords and soon enough your blog will be the gateway into your website. Learn how to target longl-tail keyword searches and how to analyze keyword competition to find the right niche blog posts to create". With my own company site, www.nile-cruises-4u.co.uk which has a long-standing blog attached, www.nile-cruises-4u.co.uk/blog I always felt that the blog content greatly aided our top positions in Google.co.uk. However, over the last 12 months we have slipped right down page one and I wondered if the blog is still helping our site or if the emphasis/value has switched and Google is looking at a lot of other factors where we score badly? Best places to get pictures for blog posts?
Well I'm really sick of reading people questions saying "help my sites been affected by penguin" So I thought I would ask something about blogging, where is the best place to find and buy pictures for blog posts? I already use Wikimedia commons. But I'm interested websites that have a bigger range that aren't too pricey. What do you recommend?

I have created 2 blogs for a client as they have 2 domains (1 for their core business, and 1 for a product). I want to use the same content on both blogs. What is the best way to set this up so there are no ranking or duplicate content issues?
We are pushing SEO for only one of the domains, therefore I would like one to be dominant. We will be sending the blog post via email to their database, therefore each blog needs to have the same content. Thank you!

Fixing Wordpress URLs
I just redid our blog and I am using permalinks. I have the custom structure set to /%year%/%postname%/ and catagory - blank. When I run the XENU Link Slueth, it shows all my blog urls as broken, but the links work fine. However the url structure is www.example.com/2010/10/20/ and so on. I am worried about duplicate content too. Do you know how I can fix the url structure so only 1 or 2 urls are used?
