SEOmoz Bot indexing JSON as content
-
Hello,
We have a bunch of pages that contain local JSON we use to display a slideshow. This JSON has a bunch of<a links="" in="" it. <="" p=""></a>
<a links="" in="" it. <="" p="">For some reason, these</a><a links="" that="" are="" in="" json="" being="" indexed="" and="" recognized="" by="" the="" seomoz="" bot="" showing="" up="" as="" legit="" for="" page. <="" p=""></a>
<a links="" that="" are="" in="" json="" being="" indexed="" and="" recognized="" by="" the="" seomoz="" bot="" showing="" up="" as="" legit="" for="" page. <="" p="">One example page this is happening on is: http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a2591-simplifies-product-logos . Searching for the string '<a' yields="" 1100+="" results="" (all="" of="" which="" are="" recognized="" as="" links="" for="" that="" page="" in="" seomoz),="" however,="" ~980="" these="" json="" code="" and="" not="" actual="" on="" the="" page.="" this="" leads="" to="" a="" lot="" invalid="" our="" site,="" super="" inflated="" count="" on-page="" page. <="" span=""></a'></a>
<a links="" that="" are="" in="" json="" being="" indexed="" and="" recognized="" by="" the="" seomoz="" bot="" showing="" up="" as="" legit="" for="" page. <="" p="">Is this a bug in the SEOMoz bot? and if not, does google work the same way?</a>

How reliable is SEOMOZ data?
I have been using the Mozbar data to locate Auth websites, basically the higher the DA/PA the better it is. If I then check the site out and they have good load times, lots of social sharing etc this makes it extra special and now a good site to try and get a link on. I found 3 blogs to guest post on which all have DA/PA 80+ some of the blogs have a PR7. Now this is great but what scares me is have I just wasted 3 guest posts because the data is incorrect. These blogs are run by 1 person and the kind of work involved to achieve those stats would be very heavy. Maybe this blogger has just hit the nail on the head with SEO and link building. Input anyone?

RSS feed showing up as duplicate content
Hi, I've just run an SEOMOZ Pro scan for the first time and it is picking up duplicate content errors from the RSS feed. For some reason it seems to be picking up two feeds, for example: http://blog.clove.co.uk/2009/05/13/htc-touch-diamond2-review/feed/ http://blog.clove.co.uk/2009/05/19/htc-touch-diamond2-review-2/feed/ Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can resolve this? Thanks

Canonical tags and SEOmoz crawls
Hi there. Recently, we've made some changes to http://www.gear-zone.co.uk/ to implement canonical tags to some dynamically generated pages to stop duplicate content issues. Previously, these were blocked with robots.txt. In Webmaster Tools, everything looks great - pages crawled has shot up, and overall traffic and sales has seen a positive increase. However the SEOmoz crawl report is now showing a huge increase in duplicate content issues. What I'd like to know is whether SEOmoz registers a canonical tag as preventing a piece of duplicate content, or just adds to it the notices report. That is, if I have 10 pages of duplicate content all with correct canonical tags, will I still see 10 errors in the crawl, but also 10 notices showing a canonical has been found? Or, should it be 0 duplicate content errors, but 10 notices of canonicals? I know it's a small point, but it could potentially have a big difference. Thanks!

SEOMOZ tools are not helping!
So, I have a website www.mobikwik.com which provides mobile phone topup in India. I signed up for SEOMOZ Pro membership a little less than a month ago. For all our competitors , which rank above us in google as of today , I checked out two things a) competitive link analysis and b) on-page optimization. On b) , our home page had the best optimization for targeted keywords and the best score amongst all competitors who ranked above us. On a) , linkscape tools showed our moztrust and mozrank to be the best. Except for 2 competitors, our domain authority was also better than the rest. Inspite of all this, our website is ranked no more than 6 on google for all targeted keywords. We have the best quality links amongst our competitors. I am at a loss to understand this and how to improve our ranking. I have to make a decision whether to renew my SEOMOZ membership in 2 days time. Please help me decide!
