Focus on guest blogging not working; what's the best quick fix?
-
I have always used strictly white-hat SEO tactics, targeting long-term results, my main focus being on quality guest blogging.
I have been working on a site for around 6 months, and I started out with my keywords ranking very well, but very little traffic was coming to the site. 2 weeks ago I expanded my keyword list considerably in an effort to drive more traffic, but last week my keywords all took a nosedive. My client wants an answer by Thursday.
I know there's no quick fix, but what's the best way to quickly get my rankings back up and serious traffic to the site?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

As you can see I am a fairly new SEO. (I worked for someone else for a year before starting on my own.) I know that I still have a lot to learn in the technical aspects of the site, but I was always good with link building, and so far I am learning on the job, and it's worked for me.
I have 3 clients. 2 are profitable, this site, so far, is not.
No, I am not able to build a site myself; I do have a trusted developer and I discussed redoing the site with my client way in the beginning, but at the time he didn't want to spend so much, and it's too late now. The site has to be profitable before he'll invest in redoing it.

4. No. Flash is dead! Deal with it and move on to jquery.
I have some questions.... please bare with me...
1. How many clients do you have?
2. Are they a profitable client?
3. Are you able to build websites yourself?
4. Do you know or have a trusted developer (if you can not do it yourself)
5. Does the client have a bit of a budget to justify getting the site built on a CMS like Joomla.
Please get back to me....

Thank you for your response!
1. There is an xml sitemap, no html sitemap.
2. Page titles, meta descriptions, and content were all optimized, but yes, there still is some work to be done.
4. Is there any way to optimize flash?
I know about the on site issues, the problem is that there is no backend and the developer is being obnoxious, so every time I want to change something on the site I have to pull teeth.
Any other advice? Thank you so much for your time!

Just checked some of your links. You have some bad links i.e. http://www.twipit.com/ (a malware infected site) - http://www.juicyworm.com/tag/wireless/ - http://www.dokisoft.com/inbuilding-wireless-solutions-the-future-of-communication/
These are just a few. You need to work on the quality of the blogs you are posting to. Why not try some better known ones like read, write, web, lifehacker etc.... You do have some good ones though i.e. http://www.cleverdude.com/ is a good to have.
But I stand by what I say ON SITE IS MOST IMPORTANT!
-
Just to clarify. You did not build the site? The client who owns the site is employing you for SEO? Correct.
It might be me but it appears a lot of the "blogs" you have posted on are not showing back links let using the SEO Moz tools. (I will look elsewhere when I have some time to look into this). Can you list so sample posts so I check the quality of the blogs.
Seriously though you need to focus on the on site problems or you will get no where. Off site should be focused on AFTER on site problems are fixed.
Basics.
1. Is it me or is there NO SITEMAP? BIG ISSUE.
2. Page titles, meta descriptions and content correct for each page/keyword
3. Header 1 tags used on right pages with right keywords.
4. Remove Flash.
LOADS MORE but not got time to go into it.... (the priority might be a bit off)

The url is http://www.cellsignalsolutions.com
I know that the site still has some issues; I have to ignore them for now because the developer is making it difficult for me to access the backend.
Some of my main keywords from the original list:
wireless building
inbuilding wireless
wireless DAS
inbuilding wireless solution/s
in building wireless solution/s
building to building wireless solution/s
in-building wireless networks
Some keywords from the new list: (It includes around 65 keywords)
das in building wireless solution/s
in building das New York
in building das solution/s
in-building das solution/s
Thank you in advance!

Also please identify which keywords were the original keywords and which keywords are the new keywords.

I am switching shopping cart providers, and I cannot keep the same URL's we've had for the past 10+ years.
This applies to our product and category pages. What is the best way to limit the impact of this?

What can I do to improve my site's local search ranking?
I've read a lot about the "Magic 7" ranking factors for local search, and I feel like in a lot of ways, my site (www.imageworkscreative.com) is doing all the right things and still not having terrific results. The only thing I can think of to really improve upon is how often our local keywords are mentioned on our pages - maybe setting up a local blog or something similar would be helpful? Adding footers that include the names of local cities? Does anyone have any pointers for me? We would really like to rank for things like dc web design, web design va, etc. - and fast. We have (recent) links from two local Chambers of Commerce and we're working on getting accredited by the BBB. I feel like those listings will help us, but there has to be more we can do.

External linking on a company blog
This has been bothering me for a long time. Our company has a sub-domain blog that gets a respectable amount of traffic but not a lot of SER. Most of our traffic comes from social shares (although we do rank really high for a few key searches). The blog manager is convinced that providing external links to additional resources or source material "dilutes the SEO juice" for the blog. URLs are provided, but they aren't linked. Attempts to sway her to the idea that external links are actually Good Things® have been stonewalled. Tell me I'm right and why.

Where do I find the best link building company?
Hi there, I'm trying to find an ethical, honest, link building company. We don't want links on shady forums, or comment spam, or any of that black hat nastyness!. I want links, on proper sites, and I'm prepared to pay for them accordingly. We're also more than happy to write/have written/ quality content that can be linked to. (We already pump out about 15 x 400+ word, optimised blogs weeks) We spend hours on the various social media sites also. So I think the only thing we're really missing now, is decent backlinks and possibly some more long tail keywords... Over to you guys. Paul.

Link Building Through Blogs
A client of mine wants to look into new areas of link building after convincing them that their current link building strategies (purchasing multiple links from god knows where) was not working well for them. Essentially I felt they were spinning their wheels. Now, we are looking into content related blogs to get some honest links for their site. They sell sports equipment and we are looking at sports blogs to get links/partnerships. Most of these blogs want sponsorship fees or advertising fees. From an ethical standpoint I understand buying links is not the best idea. But because these are blogs that earn traffic, have relevant content, and can be helpful for the advertisement aspect to link to people who might be interested in their products as well. There shouldn't be a problem in acquiring a few of these links if the budget allows for it, correct? Also are blogs a good source to acquire links from?
