Will i get slapped by Google if i use the following post titles in my wordpress blog
Category keyword : name of post

Build trust with content that people actually use. This might mean its good enough to;
-
bookmark to refer to later
-
email to a friend or collegue
-
refer back to later yourself
-
get shared on social naturally
-
get linked to natually
Content that does this is
-
helpful (new info or old info just more detailed or done better than anyone, or put in a new way)
-
entertaining - gets people to laugh, cry, feel inspired
-
teaches something
-
shares something personal
-
innovative.
I always refer to this to jump start my brain with ideas.

Again - don't forget users! Titles with category names up front tend not to get clicked on so much as having the post title up front.
I would highly encourage a human approach as well as getting your keywords in the titles for Google.

I would honestly write your titles mainly for humans. Personally I feel;
Post Name - Site Name
to be the best format.

1st site created : 29th of May - Still out of the Top 100 (it had 6 weeks in the top 20)
2nd Site created 5th of july - Back in the top 10.
Okay Guy's this weird , Yesterday i dropped out of the ranking for the category keyword for my second site but today i am back in the top ten for this. However i would note that i am adding new content every day .
How do i build trust ?
-
Your temporary excellent rankings is called a "hello world" ranking algorithm that allows a brand new site to rank for a brief period after it is launched and then it's straight to reality with poor rankings after a couple of weeks, and you need to work for it. Your keyword change most likely had nothing to do with it, a two week old site needs to build up trust in Google and that can take some time.
if this helped you please thumbs up or mark as good answer thanks!

I wouldn't think this would cause you to drop from the search results, check to see if anything else has change.
If not try removing the category keyword from the post and see if you rise again. If you don't rise, work on creating content to build links.
-
What i did was i made all my posts has sticky posts and they all have category keyword | page topic. I started this website 2 weeks ago and i was ranking page one but yesterday i disappeared completely from the search engines. However if i type the site name i am still listed in google.

I don't think you will get "slapped" as long as your category pages are not listing loads of your posts where the titles is also shown, because that might look like keyword stuffing if it appears 10-20 times in a H1 tag.
Also it might have negative effects, because if your using that keyword for every page then their all going to be competing with each other in the SERP.

Using the Same Word in Every URL
Just looking to get some opinions on this. Some coupon sites use "coupon" in all of their URLs - this is a practice I would avoid, as to me it is a little spammy. For example:
On-Page Optimization | | vanessakohl
.com/amazon-coupons/
.com/ebay-coupons/
.com/walmart-coupons/
... and so on for thousands of other brands. I don't think this is necessary, as Google will understand from the content, backlinks and the domain name (including the word "coupon") that brand pages are coupon-focused. Any other thoughts on this?0 -
Too many posts in a category?
Does having a post in too many categories have a negative effect on SEO? I have some posts in around 15 categories on my site.

Dashes "-" in keyword?
Just running over the page/keyword analyzer and Moz picked up the fact that my link and title are not the same as the keyword I am targeting. I am targeting the keyword "Battlefield 4 CD Key" However my title (and therefore link) are Battlefield 4 CD-Key. Note the dash. Does the dashes matter in SEO or should I try to remove them and have continuity through all of the page.

Title tag and URL Optimization
Hello guys, Should the URL reflect the structure of the title of a webpage? This is the old title with the Url: 20mm O/D Black Polypropylene LSZH Flexible Conduit 100m Coil /Product/20mm-o-d-black-polypropylene-lszh-conduit-100m-coil/1352 I changed the keyword position and it looks like this: 20mm Flexible Conduit | O/D Black Polypropylene LSZH | 100m I kept the same Url for now, should I change that too? Thanks

Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization
Hi I'm a little bit confused about my on page report. I prepared 2 version of on page seo report for the same targeted keyword and the same URL, but one of the url with www. and the other without it. In the one that i entered the URL with www. the report came with warning about the "Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization" we suggest staying away from linking internally to another page with the target keyword(s) as the exact anchor text. As I see on my webpage there is no anchor text at all pointing to another internal page using the targeted keyword. I'm sure that I didn't use my targeted keyword with any link . Thanks in advance for anyone If can help or explain what is that ? If I have to write the URL and the keyword no problem for me. Thanks

Title and Heading Tags
Firstly I would like to comment on how helpful this site is. I haven't posted much before but have been reading tonnes of answers for many months now and have been finding it really useful. I used the SEOmoz scanner and the main problem highlighted was duplicate content so I started to add 'customer product reviews' I had received and unique 'further information' to each page (hopefully this was the right thing to do to solve duplicate content! : ) ) Then I looked at heading and title tags. Currently I set title tags for each product page to be "Brand Name- Product Name" but after doing some research we are thinking of putting Keyword Description of Product | Product Name | Brand Name (around 60 characters long). So is this the advised thing to do and create unique titles that are relevant to each specific product page for over 200 pages we have? In addition, any advice on setting optimum tags would be great. We keep reading varying tips online. I gather ideally h1 needs to be a shorter keyword rich version of the title tag? Many Thanks
