Javascript usage
-
Hi Guys,
I know that since a couple years Google can crawl and read better Javascript(JS), but JS can still harm your website especially in the navigational bar but I don't know how to identify it. Can Someone tell me how to identify in the source page when JS can harm your website?

You are welcome... good luck in your changes!

Thank you for your help:)

The best way is the Chrome extension "Google Eyes". With this extension you can see as a boot. You will find it here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nnfbmlcnheohiajjmloocbaclnpdhfdp

But how do you identify that your JS is harming your menu? When do you know that JS is harming your nav?
-
Google work on the JS, and now they can read some of them. But still a problem for SEO. The best way to use the JS is to improve the user experience.
When you use JS to create the menus or other content stuff, than you will face a big problem, because google will not read it.
The most often problem is to use JS to create the menus. If it is your case, you will need to find another solution. Another problem with JS menu is that google now will give a lot o importance to text in the beginning of the website.
I had a menu in my website with JS. I solve including the follow menu from codecanyon.net. You find it here: http://codecanyon.net/item/css3-mega-drop-down-menu/126387

Please take a look at my keyword usage
Hi All, Traffic to few pages of my site is dipping from last couple of months. When I analyzed one of the web page (http://ow.ly/IEkt307dfNr) in Moz tools, it is warning that the keyword "dance classes" is used excessively in the page (30+ times). But, it is used in genuine manner; because that page is a listing page of "dance class teachers" who provide the service, we added "dance classes" under each of the provider. It helps users to connect with the teach easily. Is this okay or will it fall under keyword stuffing? Should I change something?

Proper Schema usage for service based businesses?
Any thoughts on how schema markup should properly implemented on service base businesses? Let's say a plumber in Washington has a few locations. Obviously you would use schema mark up on their physical location information, but what about service areas? Are there ramifications to using the for service areas? It seems like you could potentially confuse the search engines. We are noticing a competitor use this on a newly developed website. We haven't seen any improvement in their rankings per say, but it may be a bit early to tell.

Javascript void and PageRank
Do javascript void links to on-page elements (not to a new page) consume PageRank? I'm paring down links on a client's homepage, and we have javascript void links (wrapped in <a href="">) that load videos, elements of a slider, etc. on the page itself.</a> <a href="">Basically, if I have a bunch of these, is it going to weaken the power of the other links on the page?</a>

Order of keyword usage in URL
Hi, I have been wondering for a few weeks if the order of keyword usage for a long tail keyword made a difference. Today I ran an on-page report here for a new page which is a review of a product. The report warned about the keyword usage in URL which made me question my knowledge about this. let's say the page is titled Razer Mouse Review my URL is www.example.com/review/razer-mouse I thought it was a bad idea to repeat the same word in a URL, that's why I categorized all my reviews under review directory and avoided using the word "review" more than once. Should I modify this url and make it www.example.com/review/razer-mouse-review Note: I see the report listed this under "moderate importance factors" and still gave the page A grade. any ideas appreciated!

Optimizing a website which uses JavaScript and jQuery
Just a quick question (or 2) If I have divs which are hidden on my page, but are displayed when a user clicks on a p tag and the hidden div is displayed using jquery a user clicks on an a tag and the hidden div is displayed using jquery with the href being cancelled in both examples, will the hidden content be optimized, or will the fact it is initially hidden make it harder to optimize? Thanks for any answers!

How much javascript does Googlebot read
We have a site where we have certain navigational links solely for the human user. These links help the user experience and lead to pages that we don't need crawled by googlebot. We have these links in javascript so if you disable javascript these links are invisible. Will these links be considered cloaking even though our intention is not to cloak but save our Google crawl for pages we do want indexed?
