I'm looking for good outbound link profiling tool...
-
Hello all,
Just a brief question... does anybody know of a good link profiling tool which will give me a list of URLs that are linked to from a specific website?
Essentially, I'm looking for the polar opposite of OpenSiteExplorer as I'm not interested in the inbound links, only the outbound links.
Thanks,
Elias

Marty, thanks for mentioning Screaming Frog. I actually love it. I usually have it running pretty much every day, doing something or the other. It however does not give an easy way to identify the outgoing links for the website I am crawling. Is there a specific setting I am unaware of ?
-
Screaming Frog also works great, and is easier to use than Xenu's IMO.
-
Yeah, this is what we've ended up doing. Thanks for all of the responses.
-
You can also consider using Xenu's Link Sleuth, which can then crawl a website and provide you a list of any/all external links. This tool will essentially provide a complete list of outbound links from a website, not just from one page.

Cheers guys, I'll give these a go.

Go to Bing.com
Put:
linkfromdomain:yourwebsite.com
into the search box.
The obvious drawback is that Bing's index isn't very quick to update ...especially for sites with little authority. But it's still handy for a quick check, rather than crawling the target website.

There are several tools you can use. Here are a few:
SEOquake is a toolbar for Firefox that gives you a list of outbound links and tons of other parameters
SEOchat has a link analyzer tool that checks internal and outbound links
Linkvendor also has an outbound link analysis tool
Hope this helps!

What to look for with Domain Authority?
Hi, Our site has fluctuated between 20 and 22 DA for six months, but today it jumped to 27. Is that a sign we are doing something right or is 5 points within the DA's fluctuations pretty standard? Thanks, Ruben

OSE lists dead links
Going over the link profile of a competitor who gets 5x the traffic we do.... of course frustrated that the majority of their links are spam blogs (full of words but don't communicate anything) and forum profiles. Thanks Google for telling me what not to do, then rewarding my competitor for doing it shamelessly. Question regarding sites listed by Open Site Explorer as linking to said competitor, but that don't even load when I visit their url. Some go to a godaddy parked page, like the domain name expired long ago. Is this simply a limitation of OSE, and can I assume Google has indexed differently and therefore awarding no link juice from these urls?

Where is the labs LDA topics tool? The articles mentioning it point to http://www.seomoz.org/labs/lda but that forwards me to the tools landing page.
I searched SEOMOZ for this but haven't yet found the answer. It seems that it's been removed. I'm sure it was announced somewhere that I missed

How can a competitor show no internal links?
I'm comparing metrics between my site and competitors. Statistics on Site Explorer show that one competitor has no internal links. How is that possible? http://screencast.com/t/P9WX7R9hpdD Thanks for your insight. P9WX7R9hpdD

Ultimate Ranking Tool integrating Analytics / Adwords / Google WM Tools
I currently use SEOMOZ Campaigns and Advanced Web Ranking for monitoring our KW rankings and those of competition. AWR is a brilliant tool with so many different reports, methods of viewing etc. SEOMOZ campaigns are good but don't come close to the monitoring power of AWR (EG I monitor over 50 competitors on over 1000 KW's on a Daily basis with AWR and recieve a variety of set emailed reports on the data). However, one thing that SEOMOZ campaigns have that is useful is the traffic data - but this is still a bit basic and I think could be improved. The problem with AWR is that it doesn't integrate with your Analytics / Adwords / Google WM Tools - so it is only showing you half the picture. Knowing how your site ranks for each keyword is helpful, but it would be nice to understand the value of each keyword. For example, being able to see your rank position and how much traffic that keyword has sent you over time would be helpful. It would also be nice to see the number of searches that are performed for that keyword each month . For example, lets say I saw that I was ranking at number 11 for “hover mower” and getting 500 hits per month. Two months from now, if I was ranking at position 7, it would be nice to be able to immediately see how that changed the amount of traffic I was receiving for the term. Is a position of 11 (first item on page two) better than position 10 (last item on page one)? If you can link it to your analytics, you could then link it to your goals, and goal values to get a complete picture of where your keywords rank the value of the rank, and the improvment on that value when rank changes. If browsed around for such software but can't find anything like this - does anyone know of any software that can do this - or something close to this? Many thanks
