On-Page Optimisation tool on intranet pages
-
Does anybody know if there's any easy way to use the On-Page Optimisation tool on intranet or not publicly accessible pages? Thanks!
-
I have to admit that's exactly what I would do so I can't really suggest anything more exciting. Maybe someone needs to make an app that uses the SEOmoz api for intranet pages?
No problem about the answer, very happy to chip in. Hopefully someone else with a better idea will drop by shortly.

I'm doing some work for a university, and previewing content before it goes live. The CMS they use (Polypoly) outputs web pages as non-public until they're approved.
I suppose I can copy and paste the html with a base href on my server to give me an idea, but it's a bit of a faff, that's all.
Thanks for taking the time to answer too, it's much appreciated.

No, and I have to admit I'm curious as to why you would want to. Are you competing with other pages for results or are you just trying to make search as easy as possible.

A 301 redirect to a page with a rel canonical to a page with a 301 question...
MOZ registers thousands of DC and Duplicate titles on a Drupal site which has a little strange setup. Example: www.1234.com/en-us 301 redirects to www.realsite.com/en-us which has a rel canonical to www.1234.com which 301 redirects to www.realsite.com. If you're still with me I thank you.

My question is since MOZ registers errors, if indeed the rel canonical isn't recognized due to a 301 redirect?0 -
What SeoMoz tool am I thinking of?
A few months ago I found a tool on Moz that did keyword link research. It is not keyword analysis either. It took a word and turned it into links such as dir:cabinet. I can't find it or remember or it. Does anyone else know? (I know this description sucks, sorry about that)

In my errors I have 2 different products on the same page?
Hello, I have 2039 duplicate page errors and most of them are 2 different products on 1 page, I haven't set it up in the CMS, how has this happened? here's 2 examples, the 1st example has ghd's on the back of a different brand and the 2nd has gift packs on the back of the same brand 'rockaholic'? and what does 'norec' mean? http://www.thehairroom.co.uk/Tigi-Rockaholic-797658/ghd-straightening-irons/norec http://www.thehairroom.co.uk/Tigi-Rockaholic-797658/tigi-bed-head-gift-packs/norec Thanks Mark

On-Page Optimization Report: How Are Keywords Chosen?
Apologies if this has already been covered 100 times! Last month I set up a new campaign, and so far the On-Page Optimization tool has only crawled and graded three of my pages so far. I assume it takes time for more pages to be covered? But, here's my real question: I see that the tool is giving my pages grades based on certain keywords, but the tool itself seems to be deciding which keyword to use in grading each page. To use a made-up example, my example has a page about leather gloves, a page about wool mittens, and a page about cotton mittens. The last one is supposed to be optimized for the keyword "cotton mittens," but the tool is grading it based on how well it's optimized for "wool mittens." I can go into the drop-down at the top of the page and change the keyword that the page is graded on, and that gives me a new grade, but only for that instance. The next week, the tool is back to giving the page an F for "wool mittens." Is that because the tool decides that "wool mittens" is the keyword for which the page has the best chance of ranking, no matter what my intentions are? is there any way to permanently tell the tool that I want the page to target "wool mittens" as its main keyword? Thanks in advance for your help!

Page Penalization
Hiya, Looking for some advice, i have a page which the on page optimization tool shows as an A grade and Google has indexed it. I have checked vie site: however is not being found in search results even for an exact match on the page title which is very specific. I believe the page may be being penlized for over optimisation? any advice would be great! URL is www.tots-away.com/child-friendly-holidays-spain/

Seomoz on-page analysis, how strict to be
Hello, In a competitive niche, how important is it to be strict with the seomoz on-page analysis? If it gives a page/keyword an A, am I good to go? Or do I need to be more strict in that. We've had some competition move above us and we want to make sure we're on-site optimized well. site: nlpca(dot)com Thanks.
