So,

I like to implement one affiliate system on my website and to generate URL for every online marketing campaign. because i like to know when someone has ordered it from Organic, and when from any Google Adwords Campaigns etc..

What do you suggest me to implement?

If all you want to do is track your Adwords campaigns then link your Google Analytics to your Adwords account and you should be able to track them easily.

Affiliate links and parameters creating duplicate page titles

Hi, we have an affiliate system and use rel=**canonical **to canonicalise them to the right link. Still, we see those links creating duplicate page titles, in Moz crawl and in Google search console. How are we supposed to treat those links so they do not create duplicate content? Thanks for your help!

Can 302 chains (affiliate links) from "toxic" sources hurt you? Or are you "shielded"?

Hi, I'm going through some affiliate links, which send visitors to our website via a chain of several 302 redirects Some of them are relevant links, others perhaps not so much. I know that Google doesn't pass PageRank on 302s... But are they still considered valid links that pass, let's say, "reputation", "relevance", "link neighbourhood" kind of signals? Otherwise put, is a 302 similar to adding the "nofollow" attribute on a link? Sort of? Not at all? More succinctly put, should I be worried about "toxic" sources separated from us by 302 redirect chains? By the way, yes I recognize that (Google's 302 redirect chain handling aside) associating our brand with perhaps what some might consider spammy websites is not in general a good move; I'm concerned with the technical SEO implications here however. In fact, this technical information may very well help drive decisions/policies on where we allow our affiliate advertising to appear. Duplicate tracking of Affiliate and Organic orders

I started diving into the over lap between Organic and affiliate orders and can see that on average about 10% of my organic orders get tracked as both affiliate and organic (meaning i am paying affiliate commissions on them). I want to be able to better account for the different types of order and where they are coming from. My question is simply if anyone has any ideas as to how better to figure out if those orders should be canceled on the affiliate end or if there is a better way in analytics to see where the order is actually getting attributed to through some type of goal or advanced set up or something (the download of orders from organic that I compared to the affiliate ones was taken from Ecommerce > Transactions > Medium (Organic) then I compared that to the order numbers from the affiliate company I am using). Hope this makes sense and thanks for any information that can help with this!

URL Tags / Affiliate tracking help

1. If I give a sales rep a unique tag to put at the end of a URL for tracking purposes, will Google index the "www.mysite.com/service.html?unique-tag" version of a page and display it in search results? 2. Would a tool like Xenu be able to find that version of a URL? Reason for questions: If I give my sales people tags with their names in them, I don't want competitors poaching my sales people by search for all URLs on my domain. Follow up: are there any other potential issues that I should think about? Thanks!

Gaining juice from affiliate links

Afternoon Mozzers, We run a basic affiliate program whereby we distribute banners and tools to affiliate sites who then link back to our homepage via these, often through a tool that incorporates an HTML link with our primary keyword term embedded. This banner/tool/link heads to our homepage, and will then incorporate that particular affiliate's unique code in the URL, eg. www.example.com/1A-265-GNH Seems pretty standard practice so far? So, considering this, that we include our primary keyword term in HTML in some banners, some also link to our homepage via an embedded image (and others then just work off cookies as per usual), can anyone hazard a guess, or know for certain, the beneficence of this as a link building means? I ask in terms of trying to determine whether to continue punting our tools and banners as a decent link building opportunity, or concentrate more on other link building means. Hope I've been clear enough, but am happy to elaborate if need be. Cheers

Link juice from my affiliates to my site

I'm setting up an affiliate program through 1shoppingcart. Even though I run 3 different websites, the way their program works is that I have to have 1 domain name that my affiliates get as their affiliate link, with their unique id attached at the end. I can give them multiple links that will redirect to various places on my 3 websites, but those original links that they put on their site will all be to just 1 domain. I'm wondering if I still get link juice to my sites even though the links are obviously being redirected? Does it depend on the redirection method? I was just thinking that getting hundreds of affiliates who run related sites could be a very good seo boost if they're all linking to my site, but I feel like it's going to be wasted because of this redirection thing. Why Does This Website Rank?

Hi, I was looking over some mobile phone deals today and after search for Blackberry Torch Deals in Google UK I came across this site - http://www.phoneslimited.co.uk/Blackberry/9800+Torch.html When I hit the page I was amazed it was ranking #1 because it literally just lists affiliate link after affiliate link. The page has next to no unique content and keyword density is non existent. In fact, the whole on page seo is just whack. So why does it rank so well? The site seems to rank well for a variety of similar keywords? I think we could learn a lot breaking it down

I'm looking, for an affiliate network solution, that can provide not only conversions through affiliate marketing alone, but also as linkbait. What kind of tools do we have available? i remember reading a SEOMoz Blog about the best SEO tools of 2010, and i saw some affiliate options there. Looking to hear SEO community opinions on options like this.
