How to make an article easy to read?
-
i want to ask technical pints of an article which can make that article easy to read and simple in language.
-
thank you, i will keep these points in mind.
-
What I always try to do when writing any articles is watch the length of my sentences. try to keep them to around 10 words long so that they don't become too complex. Also, if you are explaining very technical points, use imagery to convey the points a lot better.
Use a readability test like the Flesch Readability Test which looks at how readably your content is. You can do this within Microsoft Word by following these steps:
- Click the Microsoft Office Button
, and then click Word Options.
- Click Proofing.
- Make sure Check grammar with spelling is selected.
- Under When correcting grammar in Word, select the Show readability statistics check box.
I hope this helps.
Matt.
- Click the Microsoft Office Button

KLLC,
From a big picture perspective you want to think about ways to make your article visually easy to digest. Anything that you can make the important information stand out on the page will be appreciated by readers.
Although there is not a technically correct answer to this question, these are a few things that I try to do to keep my articles simple to read.
Keep your paragraphs short. The majority of online readers browse for the right answers and may not read every word of your article. Short paragraphs will make it easier for them to find the information that they are looking for.
Use sub headings in your articles. This allows users to scan your information and start with the information that is the most important to them.
You could also consider using bullet points and lists. This visually breaks up the flow of your article and will help users get to the most important info.
Hope this helps!

Proper grammar is a must, misspellings is unprofessional, don't use more than one exclamation!
Use laymans terms, don't use a lot of technical mumbo jumbo or words people don't understand
Depends on the niche but generally informal writing like you were speaking to a friend
Writing for the user not for the search engines, don't awkwardly fit in keywords
Keep it short and simple and to the point, people on the web don't want to read a ton of extra content. Use bullet points and images, infographics are great. Long blocks of paragraphs should be avoided if you're selling
If you're selling a product stress what is in it for them, how will it make their life easier and why they need it, make it risk free
Add two maybe max in content links, these links get clicked on more that banners or buttons but don't over do it

Updating a Business Blog Article - Old or New Published Date
There are a few business blogs that I'm currently updating - include more details, information, case studies, statistics etc. The blog was originally published in September of 2016. Once I make the changes, do I keep the same original date or do I change the date to the day that i've uploaded the new information? Example:

How to make a bad posting drop down the search engines
we have had a competitor who has been stealing a lot of content from us and now they have used seo tactics to write a bad article about one of our sites that they have been taking content from, and what we would like to do is to use seo techniques to drop their article down the rankings. We are consulting a solicitor to take action against them as we are fed up of the content being stolen and the other techniques they are using, can anyone give me ideas on the best way to drop this post down the rankings. I was thinking about articles and press releases and blog posts to get higher up in the rankings and do a lot of these to drop their article down the rankings. Our solicitor has already taken action against them in the past and that cost us a fortune and it looks like we are going to have to spend a fortune again, so any help on using seo techniques to drop their article down the rankings would be great.

How to Get Rid of Duplicate Content Captured on Article Lists
We have a ton of articles and blog posts on our site. Currently, we display summary lists of articles that contain the first paragraph of the article in the summary list. However, in my reports, this is coming back as duplicate content with the full article itself. How do I fix this? Ex: article main page- http://www.robots.com/articles/10 First article on that page- http://www.robots.com/articles/viewing/grippers-for-robots (which shows up as duplicate content with the main artilce page). With our blogs, we have the most recent 5 blogs (in the same summary format) listed on our main blog page. We then have categories that people can sort by. But again, this is causing us duplicate content because those pages show the first paragraph of the blogs related to that category. Ex: blog main page- http://www.robots.com/blog. First blog listed on that page- http://www.robots.com/blog/viewing/robots-and-automation-bringing-jobs-back-to-the-united-states (which then shows as duplicate content with the main blog page). And then you can also select categories to see related topics: http://www.robots.com/blog/category/buying-a-robot which is showing as duplicate content also. Help! How can I prevent this? Thanks! JWanner

Too many articles within ecommerce site?
So recently purchased an ecommerce site to work on with lots of potential. The site was effected by Penguin update and now I am trying to fix up some issues. One of the problems I think may be the articles that he had written within the site. The site is an ecommerce site but has lots of articles like how to's and tips. A lot of these articles are not very fluent but seems to be written for SEO. Should I just remove them entirely or should I just stuff them in the back somewhere.

How to make use of blog networks?
I read on a forum recently that someone was using blog networks as his primary tool for SEO. I'm not sure what he meant beyond this, however... Can anyone provide tips on how I might use one, and which are some of the best? Thank you very much in advance.
