Keyword stuffing - is it true?
-
Hi,
I use On-Page Report Card for this url (the web is in Bulgarian) :
My keyword is in Bulgarian - "уеб дизайн" (which means "web design". It shows me that my keywords is: "
Total Keyword Usage for this Page = 5875 "I cannot find so many instances of this keyword. Only 13 uses for "уеб" and 10 for "дизайн" in the whole page code. Is there an error in the report? When I search the English version -http://cholakovit.com/enwhich is almost the same but translated in English of the page for the key phrase "web design" it shows only "Total Keyword Usage for this Page = 8"

Hi Jose,
Thanks for looking up this thread. It looks like the issue wasn't with the site (that I know of) or our tool. It's rather that we don't support non-UTF8 characters in our tools, which is causing that count to be off.
The issue lies in that we don't support slavic characters, so our on-page tool can only do their best to come up with "matches." So when we see that "уеб дизайн" our tool can't tell if that's a word/phase since Roger doesn't speak this language, it does what a non-speaker would do and do character matches instead. So in that 9 character phase, we were able to find "matches" for each of the 9 characters on the page we paired up against. So in that instance, they were seeing so many matches on that page.
Currently, our product team are kicking around a few ideas on what languages to support next. They would love to hear from our customers though at: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests
Feature requests helps us out tremendously since it helps us prioritize our workflow and figure out what to build next.
I hope that's helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Peter

And what was the reply from Moz's staff on this one?
-
Thank you, I will wait for reply from the stuff. It will be great seomoz tools to work well with multilanguage conent, exspecially Ciryllic and Bulgarian also.
-
Not really sure about this but i guess you should email to help team at SEOmoz and ask them if this tool support multi-language... Although i never tried using another language in this tool but i guess it doesn't
I think still the best idea is to email help@seomoz.org and they can tell you the best regarding this.

Duplicate lower and uppercase keywords
I get significantly different report cards for the same keywords with and without uppercase letters on the same URL. The only difference between the two sets of keywords is the first letters of every keywords, e.g.: "Air freight" - results in an "F"

Is it better to target fewer keyword terms more often throughout a site or more keyword terms less often?
For example we have 5 different briefcases styles on our site with 5 different colors each. Is it better to have them all target the same keyword term: ie. Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner No. 5 Black Leather | Ghurka Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner No. 5 Brown Leather | Ghurka Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner No. 5 Tan Leather | Ghurka Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner No. 5 Black Twill | Ghurka Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner No. 5 Navy Twill | Ghurka etc. OR Men's Leather Briefcase Bag - Examiner Leather Bag for Men | Ghurka Leather Men's Briefcase Bag - Examiner Leather Bag for Men | Ghurka Leather Handmade Briefcase - Examiner Leather Bag for Men | Ghurka Men's Designer Business Bag - Examiner Leather Bag for Men | Ghurka Leather Men's Laptop Bag - Examiner Leather Bag for Men | Ghurka Advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Taylor

Onpage optimization different outcomes for keyword with or without accent
I am a little bit confused with the results of the onpage analysis. I am trying onpage optimization for a spanish word which has an accent.. The results differ from Grade A, if i use the keyword with an accent, e.g. ropa premamá (the spanish word for maternity wear) to Grade C if I run the report without the accent ropa premama. I assume that most users will rather search for the keyword without accent. Would this mean that I need to change my keyword to non-accent or doesn´t it matter?

One Page Website vs. Multipage Site, if you want to target one specific Keyword only.
Hello! suppose I want to start a website about, let's say spray adhesives. My aim is to rank on the first page for the keyword "spray adhesive". I don't care about my ranking on more specific keywords like "Tesa spray adhesive" or "3M spray adhesive". My ranking for more general keywords like "glue" is unimportant, too. So I thought about creating a single-page website, that writes about spray adhesives, the pros & cons of every manufacturer, and shows the best discounts for spray adhesives. Each section can be accessed through a top-navigation, that links via anchors to the individual sections. The page will be updated every day On the other hand, i could create a blog and write an article for every specific spray adhesive. So I would have a home page that lists the latest articles for every product, with titles like "3M spray adhesive CreativeMount", "3M spray adhesive SprayMount", "Tesa Spray adhesive" ... I will write one article every day What do you think would be the better strategy? Is there a risk to create competing articles for the keyword "spray adhesive" and thus rank lower if I go with the blog strategy? On the other hand, does google rate singe-page websites lower, because google thinks those websites are less valuable than websites with many pages for the same topic? Thank you ver much for you help in advance!

SeoMoz Pro - Keyword stuffing but its a forum
hiya guys Just going through the Seomoz Pro on page thing One of the flagged items is keyword stuffing, I have 22 keywords (stuffed) but they want it down to 15, the thing is, my website is a forum. and the keyword stuffing is from the title name of each categories eg its a nightlife forum so Birmingham nightlife forum Brighton nightlife forum Leeds nightlife forum Manchester nightlife forum u get the picture To avoid this keyword stuffing, should I change some of the forum names to eg leeds nightlife forum > leeds nightlife forums? just by adding the 's that will half the keywords, but its not solving the problem in the long run, if i was to add more cities and areas with the XXXX nightlife foru. What you reckon guys? Cheers guys Luke

To enter keyword meta tags or to not enter keyword meta tags?
I've been doing SEO for awhile, but new to SEOMoz. I'm surprised that SEOMoz does not recommend keyword meta tags. I didn't enter them for the longest time because I know Google doesn't care about them. However, I did read that other search engines DO use them. And therefore that is why you should have them. I teach my customers about SEO, and I know it would be much easier for them not to enter or worry about the keyword meta tags. However, I would love to hear opinions here. And to Bing/Yahoo put any weight into them or is it only really small search engines? Thanks! Hilary
