Site not responding well to Link Building
-
I worked on around 15 EMDs and all of them have similar template but different content. They are all two KW EMDs.
Now I did KW research and changed Title tags and Did around 10- 15 links for them in and they all reacted very well to link building except one site.
I did the link building for this site in 3 batches- 7 links in first 10 days, then another 7 in next 10 days and another 7 links after 7 days.
Site's ranking decreased with each link building.
Then I removed the low quality links recently. Now What do you guys suggest should I again do link building?? (though everytime I did link building site lost rankings as mentioned earlier)
or
WHAT IS THE NEXT STRATEGY AFTER REMOVING BAD LINKS? START LINKING AGAIN, WAIT FOR SOMETIME ?
-
yeah you're right. I take good care of quality link building normally but in this particular case, I was experimenting a bit (some of the other similar sites reacted well to same links) but this one didn't.

I think George’s question is still valid what kind of link building are you performing... i mean if you are up to forum profile links, directories, blog comments then it is fairly possible but if you are really up to quality link building then this is not a normal scenario and should be analyzed properly...
-
nope I am not using KWs for link building. I know it should be a good mix of KWs, brand name, URL and general words.
Also I made some directory submissions links but like I said I removed them now recently.

What kind of link building are you doing? Good links shouldn't be the cause of decreased rankings. Also, are you using exact match keyword phrases in your links? This can contribute to lower rankings if all your links are exact match keywords (even if your domain name is an EMD).
If you are just buying links, my suggestion is to stop. If you need some suggestions for good ways to build links I say start here with a post from Jon Cooper: http://pointblankseo.com/link-building-strategies.

Good Collaboration resources for link building
We have recently come across this site in our work on a website: https://collabosaurus.com We are wondering if there are any other collaborative tools or sites like this that may be effective for partnering or matching with people for link building purposes. If anyone is aware of anything similar, we'd love to hear about it. Thanks in advance!

Site wide back links
Hi, One of our sites has a site-wide link from another site. So, Google sees 6700 pages from that site link to one of our pages. Is that something to be concerned about? The other site is http://www.daum.net/ We also have 2000 pages that blogspot.com links to us from. Both these sites have high domain authority, so I would hope all those links score well. But I certainly don't want to be penalized for links that appear spammy. Thank you in advance.

Links between own sites cause bad pagerank?
Many people say PR does not matter, but for me its an indicator that links from a domain with higher PR may rank better. My client has a about 4 different travel-sites of very different kinds of travelling. His sites are not ranking bad but all sites have just a PR 0-2 although the content is unique. I made the experience that even sites with few content will have at least a PR of 3 after some years with no SEO effort. One reason is may some part of duplicate content (4 Tours begin in Manaus, so the description for Manaus is on all the 4 Tour pages the same) but another is that the pages have few external links but many of other sites he is owning... like: also check out this -> link to another own site. Question: If I take all these links away (they even don't cause many referrals at all) - will this have a positive effect on rankings? Means trying to have always more external links from not self owned sites is a good start? Thanks for sharing your experiences Holger

Competitor doing very well through reciprocal linking. Should I adopt it?
I've always heard that reciprocal linking is dead but my main competitor who is at number one for both my primary keywords has a link profile built up of mainly reciprocal links. Should I adopt this practice? I've only valued one way links up to now.
