Vibrant Facebook Community around a Business, how to ask for links?
-
Hello,
Helping a friend out with their site: Black Mountain Colorado Dude Ranch. It is an awesome dude ranch (working ranch that has cabins for rent so you can get that 'western experience' without buying a ranch. Yes there are cattle drives). They have a great ~1000k a picture facebook page https://www.facebook.com/blackmtnranch that is fantastic, but I'm completely at a loss on how to get help with our ranking terms from this (as most don't have blogs, websites or any knowledge of what linking is outside facebook).
Ideas?
tl;dr Asking for links from people without sites is confusing to them, but is there any tips to getting help from them?

Just some quick ideas for you
Firstly i cant get to your facebook etc pages from site - i can only like etc .
Leverages your audience- i would do something for links with a strong blog or site who wants to get infront of that big social audience of yours.
Have them create content for you to put on your site that might attract attention and links.
Have them Share and spread the love links will follow

So are you / they looking for help from the ground up Andrew?
As for getting links, it starts with a great service / content and finding others who are willing to link back for whatever reason.
I wrote and article on LinkBuilding as a guide, so perhaps take a quick peek there?
Andy

First idea was to take the content on the Horse Quotes page and add sharing under each image.

Invite a Facebook user to Like a Company Page
Hi All, Was looking at our Facebook company page last night and was going through our recent posts and noticed that the individuals that liked our posts had an "Invite" button next to their name. I've been testing this and is it true that I can only send an Invite to like my company page if I'm actually friends with the user? The "Invite" button is there for every individual that has liked a post on our page, but I've only had success sending the invite to people I'm connected with. The frustrating thing about this is that the button changes to "Invited" regardless of whether or not they have actually received the invite.

Is constant contact a good source for seo links? how about best of the web? Is tweet angels a smart move? anybody got a good list of strong DA and PA link companies you can do business with and also get strong follow links from? thanks...
Thanks for all you guys do I am writing because I am trying to build a company's SEO link profile with links that have super high, and super stable Domain and Page Authorities (as well as solid Trust and Citation flows). I do this organically and even build my own sites using moz strategies - BUT, I am in need of your best advice: What are some links you can "buy" (as a result of using services from) that are strong and dofollow? Is Constant Contact good? Is Best of the Web good? tweetangels smart? I have seen several businesses with constant contact links (very high domain authority) on their profiles and as the head of business development for a mid-sized marketing firm, I want to see if constant contact, botweb, etc. are smart sources to put my clients on for the sake of the seo profile links - I am looking for strong, long-term perma-bumps for my companies and don't want to miss out on low-hanging fruit (that won't poison me in the end). Can you speak to that please? Do you guys have a list of directory links or 'whatever' links that are "get-able" by a regular guy like me that are not simply 2.0 nofollow? Thank you Ben

Facebook Like Button vs Like Box
We want to add the Facebook Like and Google Plus One functionality to our website but had a question. Is it better for SEO and usability to use a global Facebook Like Button for people to Like the home page of our website or a Facebook Like Box to Like our Facebook page from our website? I know that we can specify the URL in the Like Button but I wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!

Deleting Poor Performing Social Media Accounts for Businesses?
I'm the Internet Marketing Manager for an ad agency and in charge of not only our social media and SEO but advising and hooking up clients with successful campaigns. I've taken the liberty of signing us up for almost every major social media account. Some are very successful (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Vimeo is ok (we use it over YouTube), Vine is picking up) and others are very not doing well (Flickr, Foursquare, YouTube really is low, Google+ is very mediocre). I’ve been wondering if it would be more beneficial to just delete certain accounts. I think I need to keep Google+ (Google values it and we are not doing terribly on it) but all the others listed in the bad column I think are really cancerous to our SEO (and make us look bad b/c we are doing poorly on them) but I really don’t know. I used them kind of to see if they would work for us and to demonstrate that we knew what we were doing in these social networks, but I think they may be doing us more harm than good both from a PR standpoint and SEO. Doesn't it hurt your website for Google to see poor performing social media accounts, just as the opposite would be true (good sm accounts and mention/activity would give you klout & SEO...)? What do you think? I'm no novice but no master either. Love this forum. Thanks in advance.

How to define image to display on a facebook link?
Currently I am in the process of relaunching http://www.grassrootsseo.co.uk - however a friend pointed out to me that no image displays when I'm on facebook and link to my site. Anyone know how to define which image you want Facebook to show when you link to a certain page? Many thanks...

You have a limited budget of $2,000 (US). Do you buy links or create / seed content?
We have a client who is being told by their incumbent supplier that they should renew their annual contract to buy links on 4 domains by their incumbent SEO agency. It will cost approximately $2,000. We are recommending they produce decent content, like a video, an infographic based on data that is exclusively theirs and seed this with bloggers / real world publications / trade press / etc. The client is struggling to make a decision because he's caught between two SEO's with different approaches. He doesn't have the budget for both. He's scared of losing his position in the SERPs. So, I said I'd get some votes from other SEO's. Which would you recommend? Option 1 1,000's of links on 4 domains Option 2 Create link bait Seed using social media GO!
