Blog Repost?
-
We are a coupon site & occasionally have some updates to certain coupons that we post (maybe 24-28 hours after the original post). Is there any best practices to follow for reposting content? Here are a few thoughts:
-
Would it be ok to use the same post, but just re-schedule it again to go out with the new updates?
-
Should we create a new post & just reference the previous post?
-
-
I simply update the content of the post and change the date/time.
This works if you do not have date or time as part of the post URL.
-
Interesting, I've never thought about doing that.
So are you updating a 1 page post then re posting the same update article?
Are you using wordpress?
So, you aren't duplicating the content, your just reposting it so its higher date of being posted is updated?
Is that correct or am I being stupid here lol?
I have a Google News blog site, I am wondering would repostinng have the same effect or would Google just ignore it as it sees the same URL?

This is what I do.... mine are usually recycled a few weeks later instead of hours later.

How many backlinks should I incluede in guest blog?
Hello MOZ I really need some help here and would love your advice! I have access to a fantastic PBN through my sister's work colleague who is an experienced marketing director. The PBN is relative to my industry and are all DA 50+ My sister is a copywriter and is putting content together around 500-600 words long. My questions are: How many backlinks should she include in each guest blog post? Are 2 too many? Should the anchor text keywords be exact to the products I am selling? Tips/Advice going forward with the project? Thank you!

URL Structure for Blog
Hi guys, Hope you are all doing well today. I have a questions with regards to our blog URL structure. The URL for the blog is /blog - however when you click on a blog post the "/blog" disappears completely and is replaced by the title of the post. So it is ".com/title-of-post" for example. Would it be better to keep the blog subdomain in the URL so it is ".com/blog/title-of-article" Any insight would be appreciated. My thoughts are that surely the second option above is ideal? Thanks Tom

How many categories should you have within a blog / Wordpress Site for SEO?
Hi Guys I am just wondering whether or not for SEO purposes it is better to have a small number of categories for your blog posts to fit into as opposed to numerous ones. The reason I ask is that I have one site which is fairly new to the search engines - 8 months old which has 7 general categories within the blog for instance "rail contractors", "railway construction" "airport construction" etc I have another site which is 10 years old which has built up 25 different types of categories for instance brand design, brand development, brand management (i guess you could put all these under 1 category "branding"? We've been writing lots of press for both sites... yet the younger site is getting more coverage on Google page 1. Would this be because the blogs / press are more concentrated under a specific category as opposed to being spread thinly throughout the site? Any help would be appreciated. Debs 🙂
