What are the best wordpress theme for getting a good page rank
-
There are lots of themes that if you want a big site limited you in the way the it is very difficult to make your site grow.
So the problem is that in the beginning when you select a theme actually you dont know the limitations it has.
I agree with the page ranking but a think that the structure of a complex theme helps to get higher page rank, maybe indirectly has you say... or maybe not
So in this community experience which themes are the ones with best admin page and with more additional features.
-
Hi,
Discussion becomes hot
In addition to my last response. WP templates (themes) have nothing to Google Page Rank.
Template can have good design, helpful admin page, good additional features, widgets etc... It can be very good for call to action solutions, eye-caching features ..... And the rest is your continuous work.
Page Rank is calculated factor based on link power, number of links, link structure and many more...
For general view of PR you just read an article in wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank
Don't think (or dream) about high PR, rather go out to meet the expectations of [your site] visitors and adjust to what your customers want ... and be active

Bruce, you are not disagreeing with me...
I said good design alone will not get many links if it doesn't come with good content.
You are saying you are not linking to good content if it resides on a website with bad design.
Your affirmation doesn't oppose yo mine. And I agree that maybe the term of Page Rank was probably not clear, that's why when I noticed nobody was pointing out crystal clear the fact that PR comes from links I added my comment.
For example I liked a lot Keri Morgret's witty answer, but I felt like it was not totally "newbie friendly".
-
Sorina - I have to disagree with that.
I very rarely link to a site that looks amateurish - I'm much more inclined to link to a site that has a clean/smart look to it, i.e. a nice theme. So, if I'm the guy offering a link the Theme does matter.
I also think he was using Page Rank as a euphemism for strong SEO.
-
Page Rank has nothing to do with themes. Page Rank is a value calculated based on links only.
Personally I believe you will not get many links because you have a design or another... It's the content that gets you links and eventually PR, not the theme.
-
My own two cents.
I've used a couple ThemeForest Themes but they didn't last long.
Lately I've been quite happy with Solostream.com (I use them on my #1 site - and a couple others).
-
I just want to point out that I have noticed a tendency for many SEO bloggers to use the Genesis theme. Not sure why. Maybe someone else has insight they can share.

Hi,
I think you all right but ... I have tried many WP templates and can say that some of them works better then other in SEO. There is no straight recipe to choose good one, having in mind other than SEO features or design.
CMC-SD wrote about Yoast experience with SP themes ... I also don't trust.
Don't use templates with build-in SEO module, I haven't met even one good. Choose good design, useful features, check code validation (W3C) and test & try and so on...
Large selection of WP templates you can find on Themeforest ... but some of them are good - some not.

Ideally, your Wordpress theme should be lightweight, to keep page load times low. The HTML should be valid according to W3C standards. It should be free from wacky errors like the one Yoast describes here. If you're not a techy, you probably won't be able to check all of this. In that case, you're best off going with a theme that was built by a reputable theme maker. Apparently Yoast was consulted on StudioPress's themes, so that's a good sign. But don't blindly trust anyone who claims their theme is "SEO friendly."
-
The best themes for page rank are the ones that are easy for you to install, so that you can spend your time writing quality content to help your visitors convert and to earn links. There's no magic theme that will tell Google "this site deserves a high PR".

Does having too many wordpress portfolio pages with little content hurt a site's SEO?
I have a site that is for a service company, not image based like a photographer or artist. We utilize the Portfolio feature to create a gallery of floor coating finishes (images of all the flooring finish options available) but this solution has created /portfolio/file-name pages for each image. These pages have no other content besides the image. I've run SEMrush audits on this site which shows a high percentage of pages with low text/code ratio and duplicate content (a lot of the finishes have very similar names). This site has been extremely slow to improve any visibility online (more than 9 months) and I'm wondering if this is a factor by possibly having a negative effect on our site. We initially chose the portfolio option because it was the best-looking solution for our users but we can certainly change it to another format if that is better. Thanks!

Finding a good wordpress web developer for SEO fixes
I have gotten a good audit done of my site now it is time to get the fixes done. I have a developer I worked with for a long time that is good at coding and fixes on my site. However I am not confident in his abilities to execute some of the seo changes that need to be done. Their are some common stuff he can tackle but when it comes to GWT and proper handling of 404's and 301's and other seo tasks I am not sure if he is the right choice.Maybe due to a lack of experience of dealing with the issues I have or is just not his specialty or web devs just don't know seo...lol.... Is obvious a lot of SEO's don't make the changes themselves but leave it up to the devs to handle it their suggestions and fixes. But from my experience devs are not so well versed in seo and you have a hard time knowing if they are doing it correct or can even do it.(of course they will say they can they want your cash and i understand that ). In particular a good amount of wordpress devs claim to know seo but i find that far from the truth.Even when guided to issues some of them will often leave you disappointed. Sorry for my rant! Now to my question , obviously not many SEO's make the actual code changes themselves (how i wish i knew a one that did) are their ones out their that do? If not how do i find a good wordpress dev that can make proper seo changes and knows his stuff....example i need someone who can trouble shoot and track down some serious GWT I have and deal with some hardcore 404 & 301 issues . A lot claim to know but when push comes to shove I have been left disappointed. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions or recommendations.

Hom much does getting a mobile website improve the "mobile ranking"?
There's been speculation about Google totally not ranking sites that are not mobile, but as far as I can see many sites rank THE SAME on mobile devices as on regular stationary PCs/lap-tops. I had hoped for a radically improved ranking once a mobile site was built. Or is it just that it takes a TON of time for it to go through and then it gets better or is it like with regular sites that a new mobile site on a sub-domain is parked in some form of mobile-sand-box? Also, does putting a mobile site on a ranking domain, as subdomain help, e.g. m.testingsite.com instead of testingsite.mobi ? Thanks.

Multilingual Website. Best SEO Strategy
Hello.
Web Design | | teconsite.com
We have a client that will extend his business to severak countries in Europe.
So far its main market was the Spanish one. In this market it works with his own domain that is the same that its brand name. The domain does not contain any important keyword but it has been working for 11 years: www.efutgol.com. In Spain has a good ranking. It ranks number 1 or number 2, it fluctuates. But it also sells to France and Portugal. In the France market they used a domain with exact match with the French keyword that they are interested in: www.equipementsfootball.com/. The same strategy www.equipamentosfutebol.com in Portugal. Both have number 1 for the main keyword in those Countries for that keyword Now they are going to sell in more countries.
The problem is that each website have a different CMS what makes necessary double maintenance. We are going to unificate in only one domain, one single design, one single CMS all websites. But were have doubts about SEO consequences of doing that What is the best thing for URLs?
www.efutgol.com/fr/ .....
www.efutgol.com/es/
www.efutgol.com / pt What should we do with the domains that are so well positioned in france and portugal? 301 redirect will work? What should we expect? What would you do? What things we should consider to keep the current position?0 -
Dynamic pages and code within content
Hi all, I'm considering creating a dynamic table on my site that highlights rows / columns and cells depending on buttons that users can click. Each cell in the table links to a separate page that is created dynamically pulling information from a database. Now I'm aware of the google guidelines: "If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains a "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few." So we wondered whether we could put the dynamic pages in our sitemap so that google could index them - the pages can be seen with javascript off which is how the pages are manipulated to make them dynamic. Could anyone give us a overview of the dangers here? I also wondered if you still need to separate content from code on a page? My developer still seems very keen to use inline CSS and javascript! Thanks a bundle.
