Question about SUB DOMAIN. step 1 says enter your subdomain? Create 1st campaign.

Does that mean the article in my blog address bar link?
I have a blog with many posts focussed on different keywords. What does step 1 mean for me?
Does it mean I should publish my post on my blog - copy the url in the address bar - and then enter it in SUBDOMAIN?
Your help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi Elaine! This is Megan from SEOmoz. To set up your campaign, you'll want to enter the URL for the section of your site that you would like to track. For example, if you selected the root domain option and entered seomoz.org, then we would track every single page on the site. However, if you just wanted to track pages for a specific subdomain, like all the pages on the www subdomain, the you would enter www.exampledomain.com. If you want to track just your blog and it's set up as a subfolder, like www.exampledomain/blog, then you would enter the path for that specific subfolder. I know this can be very confusing, so if you want us to look at your specific URL but don't feel comfortable sharing this information over public Q&A, please send it to us via email at help@seomoz.org. We're happy to take a look at help you get everything set up correctly!
Thanks!

Why do Domain Authority Scores vary?
Hello, When I look for bloggers from blogspot and wordpress portals, I find high domain authority scores on moz but if I check their individual sites without blogspot or wordpress I see a low domain score why is this? and is there a harm in selecting such sites? For example hypothetically : www.lizzie.blogspot.co.uk - high domain score & www.lizzie.co.uk - low domain score. Thanks & Regards, Sneha

How does WordPress 3.5.1 impact site rankings?
We have a user interested in having a WordPress 3.5.1 blog on their own existing, robust site. There is a blog module available in the CMS but the user feels more familiar with WordPress. It will be set up at the root as a subdirectory. Based on the URL structure, Google should see the WordPress blog and the user's website as the same website. (www.website.com/wordpress). There will not be a 301 needed. Does using the Wordpress module impact rankings? We've understood that Google doesn't care for Wordpress because 99% of spammers use it... is that only if it is hosted on WordPress.com? Also, are there any other reasons that our user should use/avoid WordPress?

Sub directory vs sub domain for company blog
My company's blog is currently a sub directory - www.site/blog.com but for technical ease we are considering changing it to a sub domain - www.blog.site.com. What are the SEO ramifications of each? Thank you! Best, Sara

What qualifies as a authoritative domain?
As SEOMOZ ranks Authority through percentage, at what percentage does a domain become authoritative? I'm looking for guest blogs/websites, which have a authoritative root domain to try and help increase our own auth and in turn rankings. So far I have found a few guest blogs, which have around 40-50% but I kind of think I need to find ones which are more like 70-80% for this to really work. Cheers

Your Site and Google News Question
My site has been in Google News for about 3 years. Over the weekend, I received this message from Google Hi John, We periodically review news sources, to ensure Google News offers a high quality experience for our users. When we reviewed your site, mainstreetmonroe.com, we found that we can no longer include it in Google News at this time. We reviewed your site and are unable to include it in Google News at this time. We can't include sites that don't have a formal editorial-review process for submitted content. If this exists on your site, please let us know where and we'll be happy to review your site again. Mainstreetmonroe is scheduled to be removed from Google News for a period of at least 30 days. After this 30-day period has elapsed, you can re-apply for inclusion in Google News provided your site meets our guidelines. We appreciate your assistance in this matter. Please note that you'll still be able to find your site in Google Web Search and other Google services. Thanks for your interest in Google News. Regards, The Google News Team What exactly do they mean? I submitted my website news section, but they have been displaying our forum area in the news too. I think the forum is what GN is talking about. What is the best way to fix this problem? Move the forum to a subdomain? Question about Google News Sitemap
I'm submitting my site to Google News, have a few questions for creating my sitemap. The majority of my articles (800) are in a category called 'Disability News' (which is one of my main keywords). Around half of these posts are we're automated RSS feed posts (first 200 words of an article directly copied with a link thru to the original). The past few weeks I've been posting tons of unique content so I was thinking about moving all duplicate content into a category called 'Syndicated News' and excluding that from my Google News sitemap. Is this advisable? or should I just leave it as is?
