Has Anyone Noticed Q&A has sped up a LOT?
-
A while back when things had really gotten over slow, I asked the opposite. Today I go on Q&A and the feel is quite a bit different. I also notice other cool little changes.
I am wondering if moz did it just for me or is everyone seeing it???
As usual, steady improvement from the folks at SEOmoz. You guys are on.
Thanks
PS (For any who require uber speed, yes it takes about a second and a half for the response to load... I can live with that).

Now William,
I hope you understand it was my effort to follow the question about 10 days before: Has anyone noticed how SLOOOOOW Q&A is or is it me...? (Rough approximation).
Just felt like if I was going to point out the negative I had to point out the improvement. But, hey, now that its back to rocking, I'm smiling too!!
Best

Jaime, the formatting for numbered lists seems to be off as well - not indenting. Haven't checked unordered lists to see if they have the same problem.
Nice overall improvements!

I LOL'd at this question.
-
I concur. Seems much faster--but I noticed the text in the input fieldbox is much smaller than usual. Could just be me though...
-
Just seen the new "questions I've answered" section and that looks brilliant - such a good idea to include a snippet of your answer!
-
Yeah, they did a great job that's for sure. Joram has the link for the thread.
Wonder whether now it takes a bit longer to load up the response section, that's the reason for the improvement? Were all the threads loading the response section on load, rather by on request when you click it (as now?). With hundreds of threads a day, that's a lot of queries.
Look at me, pretending to know what I'm yapping about!
-
yea it's fantastic. good work guys! why does my font look different when i type now though?
-
Hi Robert,
Yes, it has gotten much faster! The guys at SEOmoz made some improvements (http://www.seomoz.org/q/q-a-performance-improvements) that seem to have worked out well.

i tried to log on early this morning and it was down for quite a while. Now it's back up it's definitely quicker! Oh Joy!

If my blog is on Wordpress, and I've installed the AMP plug-in, what do I need to do to get Google to start indexing all my posts as AMP pages?
If I add /amp to the end of any of my posts, I can see that the plug-in is working. It's been months since I installed it, though, and Google hasn't indexed any of the AMP pages. Am I missing a step?

Recommendation For Video Intro & Outro Creatives
Hello, I am looking for recommendations of a company or individual that can create a quick intro and outro clip for our company videos. I'm not totaly sure on how much something like this should cost, and we don't have millions to spend (unfortunately), but your suggestions and recommendations will be much appreciated! Thanks

Typepad.com blog migration & duplicate content
I've migrated a typepad.com blog with a bunch of content (but little traffic) onto a hosted WordPress site under my own domain name (the way I should've done it in the first place). Now I don't want to confuse Google that the new site is duplicating content from the other site, so would I be better off with: 1) meta-refresh redirecting each typepad.com post to the same post on the new blog, or 2) just killing the typepad.com blog entirely so Google will not find duplicate posts anywhere. In favor of #2 is the fact that these posts get very little traffic today. I figure I will lose more traffic from duplicate content ranking penalties than from losing the posts themselves in the original blog. What do you think?

Does anyone know of a great inexpensive article writing company overseas?
Hello, I'm hoping someone here has used or knows about a content writing company overseas that is very good. We would provide a lot of the information, and they would gather the rest by internet or talking with manufacturers by skype. We need at least 200 articles written, and we're on a tight budget. The articles need to be unique content, and very helpful to users. The people or person I hire will provide the articles in Microsoft Word, I'll do the rest. So far I've posted on Elance. Any useful people, companies, or helpful hints in doing this is appreciated! Thank you.

Duplicate Page Content & Rel-Canonicals
The SEO Moz duplicate page content tool lists the following URL's as having duplicate content: http://www.savvyboater.com/1988-newer-8-tooth-15-hp-honda-outboard-props.aspx http://www.savvyboater.com/1988-newer-8-tooth-15-hp-honda-outboard-props.aspx?sort=PriceAsc&pi=2 The second URL is the price sorter/second page of the category and contains the following rel-canonical: | http://www.savvyboater.com/1988-newer-8-tooth-15-hp-honda-outboard-props.aspx"> Are we using the rel-canonical correctly in this case? If so, why does it continue to show up as duplicate content in our SEO Moz report? There are over 1,000 URLS listed in the report with the exact same issue. |

Blogger & Blogspot Content - Move Across To Own Domain?
Hey, A few new clients have blogs hosted on blogger & blogspot, the first advice of mine is to set up a blog hosted on their company domain. It's usually easy to convince them of the benefits. What should happen to all the content on the existing blog? One blog in question has over 100 entries, good content with a lot of links back to the business domain. The blog itself has less than 10 links pointing in but a domain mozrank 3.5. In this example, my gut is telling me to leave it as is, and start fresh on the own domain. What about if there's less then 10 posts? At what point should the content be moved over to the new blog? Thanks for your thoughts.

Is Creating a Lot of Content A Bad SEO Strategy?
In Danny Dover's book, Search Engine Optimization Secrets, he talks about how every page on your site should be at least a little linkworthy, or it is just sucking link juice from the rest of the site and not contributing any. Does this mean that creating a lot of content, (like a daily news article on your site that summarizes industry news or something similar) is not a good SEO strategy? Should you limit the amount of content pages on your site unless it can attract links or hits on one of your target keywords? Thanks!

What plugins & tactics are you using for Wordpress meta SEO?
Currently I use All-In-One SEO and I quite like how simple it is to setup and it's stable. Is that still one of the best ones? What are you using these days? Is it worth stripping out the superfluous meta tags that Wordpress now puts in? Is there any value to adding meta descriptions to all my Tag pages and if so, is there a good plugin that will auto magically create unique descriptions for these pages? Same goes for my paginated archives. Thanks!
