Googe+ personal profile & business page conundrum

I have asked this question before and am still seeking help. My apologies for being repetitive and hopefully not too pesky but I am sincere in my search for guidance.
I am looking for advice on how to manage my personal G+ profile along with my business G+ page. My challenge is the coordination between the two and getting people to add our biz page to their Circles instead of to me personally through my personal profile.
Google+ requires that we have personal profiles- especially for authorship, but it's my business that I want to represent and promote.
I do have the Google+ badge on my website and blog posts. And I am duplicating my posts on both the personal and business pages. I have joined a couple of communities and know that i need to find more and engage in those.
And also, another question this brings up: in terms of the social signal aspect for our company website/blog, does it matter where I am building my Circles?

It has been my experience that Google Plus is a lot like Facebook in the way they break out their Personal and Business pages. They make it difficult to solicit others through your Business page. I do what you are doing, put the original post on the business page, switch over to my Personal page and Share that post so that the people I have pulled in personally can see it. I have noticed people will click on my post and go to my business page and follow me from there.

rel=publisher makes information about your business pop up in the right hand side of the serps when you search for the brand name (map, business info, reviews, related searches). This is where you would display your business entity, not yourself.
rel=author is what causes the icon to appear to the left of the result and must be an actual person.
You should be linking to your business page from the website and asking people to follow your places page. Your author profile is supposed to be more personal and used to connect your work from around the web (think guest blog posts).

Yah this is an odd issue. I've seen some people with their Google + profile face next to their business homepage. A little strange. Google also has the rel=publisher tag, but I'm honestly not sure what it does. I guess it is supposed to work like the rel=author tag... Obama uses it on the homepage:
In terms of the social signal aspect, no one can really answer that. Just try to be active in the Circles relevant to your industry. That's probably your best bet.

In Google SERPs some companies / government agencies have a Google-generated card for their organization and it references their Wikipedia page. It does not show for all companies /orgs that have a Wikipedia page. What is the criteria to have it shown?
Does Google have specific criteria to show a large card in the top right of SERPs that links to a national organization's Wikipedia-referenced info? These do not appear to be the Google Business Card created by individual organizations. LinkedIn & B2B Marketing/Brand Authority: How Useful Is It?
Hi Folks, I'm in the process of drawing up some detailed step by step marketing and content strategy guidelines and I'm currently researching LinkedIn as a platform and the potential benefits for B2B marketing on it and building brand authority. I'm coming across some conflicting data regarding how useful it is. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on the viability of LinkedIn for B2B marketing and building brand authority? A couple of questions would be: Is it a viable B2B marketing platform? Is it a good place to build brand and industry authority? What techniques would you concentrate on over others? Optimizing for a person with two variations of their first name.
Hello, I am wondering if there is best practices or ideas when doing SEO work for someone's personal name and that name has two variations. So for instance, if someone's formal first name is "James" but they go by "Jim" or "Richard" and "Rick." I thought it might be easy as choosing one and going for it, but this person has a lot of info about them indexed and google and for the most part it is two completely different set of SERP's depending on which variation of the named is searched.

Enigma of Google & China - Can you solve it?
In March, my team in Shanghai launched a site redesign of our English language website (targeted at expats in China) which: Changed the URL's to be more SEO friendly (keyword based, shorter, etc) Implemented endless scrolling to replace previous pagination Changed some front end layouts Changed page title and meta description tags to use keywords, be unique, use correct lengths Since then, we see in Google Analytics, traffic form Google organic branded search terms has been steadily dropping (between 5 - 20% depending on the term). Not provided is down 2%. We do not rank for many non-branded terms, so have no statistical significance there. However in Google Webmaster Tools, impressions of branded queries are also down, along with non-branded search terms (including those we tried to optimise for). We see similar traffic drops from other search engines as well (Bing, Baidu) but not at as high a level (only 3% or so). We have not changed any other marketing strategy online or offline. We have tested / done: 1. Changing title tags 2. Reverting to old pagination (as we say in GWT a drop in indexed pages) 3. Checked the tracking code is working 4. Checked our rankings (we still rank position 1 for our branded queries and even some non branded) 5. Submitted new XML site map The only large issue we could find is that from that day there were over 300,000 page not found 404 errors (which we are now redirecting by 301s as Google shows them to us, and have been doing so for 2 weeks). Nothing is helping us so far, organic traffic continues to drop week on week, so I am reaching out to the Moz community. Can anybody think of a reason for such a dramatic drop? Please help!

Case Study Formats - On-page vs. PDF
Hey all, I've been thinking about the pros and cons of case study formats (On-page vs. PDF), and was curious to see what you all think. An on-page case study is crawled by search engines and has fewer barriers in terms of visibility. The only pros I can think of for a downloadable case study (with no opt-in) is that it's less likely to be plagiarised (generally a low priority) and can have a custom design that may not fit with your website's look and feel without clashing. Also, I suppose it makes it easier for visitors to save the PDF for future reference. Have I missed anything? Do you have a preference? Keen to hear which you prefer, and why. Let's brainstorm! Google Local & Google+
Hi All I'm looking for a bit of a steer on which direction to go in here. I have a new client and the client has a 'branch' in London. The brand is about to be franchised across the UK. They currently have a google places page in London (old style Google places, not a plus page) and nothing else on Google +. I don't really want to touch the Google place (local page) because it ranks well for their business and far higher than their organic search result. In terms of adding to their social presence, I think a Google Plus 'Brand' page would work as a generic brand, with several additional local pages being created as franchisees come on board. They have a safe and strong brand and have plans to reinforce through social. I'm about to set up the brand page and wondered if anyone has any thoughts, words of warning or points to consider? I don't know why but I feel somewhat tetchy and fearful of Google places that have yet to be merged. Thanks

Listing multiple business locations
Greetings, I had a quick question that i was unable to find an answer for so i wanted to see what you guys think. I am currently working on getting our business situated on sites like Yelp, Hotfrog, Bing business portal, etc., and on a lot of these sites i have to add each of our three store locations individually. I wonder when i put in the name, if it makes more sense to just put the business name as "Business Name" or wether i should identify each location separately in the name as "Business Name + City". I was just curious if there is a reason i should do one or the other, or since we plan to make sure it's listed the same way everywhere, does it not really matter?
