How can i extract back link report in OSE of HTTPS domain?
-
Hello,
Recently i was reviewing backlinks of one of the HTTPS domain and was socked to see the difference of backlinks in Majestic SEO and OSE tool.
I tried a lot to find the option to explore the backlink of HTTPS domain but i think OSE is not providing that.
Can anyone suggest the tool or method to find link report of HTTPS domains?
Thank you,
Sophie

Thank you Martijn for sharing that URL of help section.
Hope this feature will be available soon !!
-
Hi Sophie,
For now Open Site Explorer is not supporting HTTPS, however in this post within their help section. They suggest that the addition of HTTPS domains will be somewhere around March this year. With March already halfway if you're lucky it will be deployed within the upcoming two weeks. But I wouldn't put my money on it ;-).
Hope this helps a bit!

Why is my domain not being crawled anymore?
I just noticed that right around 12/1/2012, SEOMoz stopped crawling all but two pages out of the 400 or so on my website at www.TrustworthyCare.com . I speculate that this is probably due to some dumb mistake I made at that time, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that mistake was. Before that, the weekly crawls included all 400 or so pages. I wonder whether it's something that changed in our .htaccess file. Here's how that file looks now; can anyone see what is wrong there, or perhaps offer other suggestions if it doesn't look like anything is wrong in it? Thanks! Tim PS - I'm a small business owner, not an SEO or software engineer. PPS - I found and read this page, but I've pretty much tried the things described there (I think): More complete campaign reports
SEOMoz campaigns include a lot more data than can be sent via email automatically with the custom reporting feature. So what do people do to send that data to clients? Do you not include it? Or export reports manually and send them on? Or something else?

OSE lists dead links
Going over the link profile of a competitor who gets 5x the traffic we do.... of course frustrated that the majority of their links are spam blogs (full of words but don't communicate anything) and forum profiles. Thanks Google for telling me what not to do, then rewarding my competitor for doing it shamelessly. Question regarding sites listed by Open Site Explorer as linking to said competitor, but that don't even load when I visit their url. Some go to a godaddy parked page, like the domain name expired long ago. Is this simply a limitation of OSE, and can I assume Google has indexed differently and therefore awarding no link juice from these urls?

OSE Latest Update?
As of yesterday's OSE update alot of sites that I'm tracking saw their PA & DA drop significantly. This was for multiple sites, whereas last month's index saw those stats increase significantly. Has anybody else seen this happen to them and perhaps drawn any conclusions?

How are our competitors getting these inbound linking domains?
I'm currently managing SEO for my company's website, and I'm getting into link building for the first time. As part of the process, I'm using Open Site Explorer to see who's linking into our competitor sites, to get a better sense of what's available to us in our particular avenue of e-commerce. However, I'm finding that our competitors are getting inbound links from high-authority sites pretty far afield from selling jewelry - census.gov, parallels.com, warnerbros.com, and others. I try clicking through to these links, but each link starts a download of a file. I've seen .f4v, .7z, and .apk files listed as inbound links to our competitor. How is this happening? Again, I'm new to link building, so there may be a simple answer here, and if so I apologize for asking. However, this seems really strange to me, and a difficult situation to confront.

How best to gain Followed Linking Root Domains?
Hi All, Sorry if this question has been asked before. I've had a look through the Q&A sections and I couldn't really see anyone who'd asked the question as direct as this? Basically, I'm using the SEOMoz competitive domain analysis to compare some of our domains and our competitors domains and see where we're falling down. At the minute, we seem to be only scoring around '31', whereas our two closest competitors as 32 and 33 on the overall score. This still seems pretty low to me (maybe it's not) so I'm assuming we can make some good headway. At the minute, the analysis shows that we're beating our competitors hands down with the number of links to our site, these are all relatively good quality and they haven't just been spammed out there to gain links. We are however struggling to get followed linking root domains. As I understand it, these are basically just links from domains not on the same IP that are followed? Since I've seen this, I've looked through the open site explorer and gone through all of our competitors sites to get backlinks from URL's linking to them. I've had fairly good success with this but they only seem to have gone up by 1 - 2 links. Does this only get updated once a month? In addition to this, does anyone have any tips on how to build up followed linking domains? Kind Regards
