Good question. There has been much discussion on this topic. Here's a post from the blog about how to create crawlable links, but make sure you read all of the comments and that the solution you build indexes all of your content correctly and with the right canonical URLs.

Negative SEO attack, just keep disavowing?
Hello, Around 2 months ago someone started a negative SEO campaign against us. Each week in Majestic around 50-60 domains appear (all .biz or .eu) which link to our site in hidden code via the exact match keyword. Now luckly nothing has happened to our rankings, as i have been disavowing all those links as soon as they appear in Majestic. (google only shows a few of them, and Google webmaster forum told me that google only shows a "sample of links" and that we should disavow as soon as we see) So only thing for me is to monitor majestic each week and keep on disavowing. I think there are almost 250 domains to this date i have disavowed. Or should i still only disavow those that google shows? (I think not, as those are "sample links")

SEO of Social Media Pages
I have noticed something odd about how Google ranks social media pages, and was hoping someone would have a good explanation. When I search for a particular name in Google, the first two results are Twitter pages of two people who share the same name. #1 is an older account with more Tweets, but it has fewer followers, no external backlinks, and the URL is unrelated to the name #2 is a newer account, but it has more followers, a few external backlinks, and the name itself is in the URL. It has fewer overall Tweets, but has Tweeted more frequently over the past several months. #2 is also happens to be in the same City as I am. Given my understanding of Google's ranking factors, I would not have expected #1 to outrank #2. In fact, I would not have expected #1 to even be on the first page. What could be causing #1 to rank so highly? Does it make sense that the age of the account or the number of Tweets would affect SEO at all? Really, I am just trying to understand what are the main factors that determine the ranking of social media profile pages. Thanks

Internationalised Domain Names (IDN’s) and SEO
Hi, recently Internationalised Domain Names (IDN’s) are supported. Can anyone give me any indication if there is any SEO benefit in registrering that type of domain names? With Internationalised Domain Names I mean domain names containing "strange characters" like à, é, è, ô, ... . Typical characters used in French, German, Swedish, ... It is now possible to register domainnames (ex. www.hörmann.be). And I was wondering if anyone sees any SEO substance in having this type of domain names.

Pagination and SEO: How do I fix it during search parameters?
Today, I have watched very interesting video on YouTube about Pagination and SEO. I have implemented pagination with rel="next" and rel="prev" on my paginated page. You can get more idea by visit following pages. www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?p=2 www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?p=3 I have added NOINDEX FOLLOW attribute to page 2, page 3 and so on. There is simple question from my side. Can I remove NOINDEX FOLLOW attribute from paginated page or not? I have big confusion & issues when paginated URLs contain search parameters. You can get more idea by visiting following URLs. http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?dir=asc&order=name&p=2 http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas?dir=asc&order=name&p=3 What is best suggestion for this kind of pages?
