Need to know alternate ways to promote a Weekly Campaign
-
Hi Everyone,
I first thank for all people who read this post and offer to help me..
1. My client is going to start a weekly campaign starting from tomorrow its a online flower delivery company
2. They have already setup the Google ad words for it but he wanted to know is there any other way he can bring visitors to this campaign.
3. I have setup email blasting apart from this anything you people can suggest and little explanation too.

Your Suggestions really started the ball rolling
Looking for some more options people
-
You have a lot of options actually
1. Start with your most basic ones, which are social platforms. Advertise, promote, SEO, reach out. This gets the ball rolling quick for new sites with a competitive niche like this
2. Content creation and marketing - create an infographic, start an epic storyline post or whatever that your target market would like. Segment them first. For example, there's a good chance someone looking for the service is dating someone. Why not create a content piece about the best ways to impress a girl he's dating with things he can do along with a "surprise" flower delivery.
3. Promotion and contests - maybe you can do a weekly special, like customising certain products for the receiver.
4. the usual SEO - this is probably the longest in terms of ROI but it's the most important long term.
There a lot more you can do which is limited to your imagination and budget. I know other mozers here have other creative or traditional things in their mind that will also help a lot.

How To Rank Our Featured Snippet - What Changes Are Needed On Our Page?
I've read a number of articles that have been helpful, but most of them are specifically still just trying to prove the value of the snippets and more recently show you how to find what search terms to rank for. What I'm really struggling with is exactly 'How do we rank for them, when we already have the #1 position and the featured snippet is going to another site'? Let me break this down a bit more: 1. We are measuring the 'SERP Features' within Moz Pro Tools and I've identified ~300 pages where there is a 'Featured Snippet' but I don't have the feature. 2. In a good portion of these, I'm outranking the site that has the 'Featured Snippet'. So I can compare my site, side by side to the 'Featured Snippet'. Now that I have the question, my ranking and the competition all in front of me. What changes are recommended I implement on our page? Is there a recommended process to follow?

All of my blog titles have disappeared. In need of Wordpress help.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but here it goes. All of the titles on my real estate website have disappeared. I have spent hours looking through different forums trying to figure out how to make them show up. Also whenever I hover the cursor over links they turn to white and disappear as well. This is the website: http://www.acolerealty.com/blog/ If this helps here is the custom CSS in worpress is the following: /* GREEN */ body {background: #eff3ec !important;} .header-membership {

What is the best way to take advantage of this keyword?
Hi SEO's! I've been checking out webmaster tools (screenshot attached) and noticed that we're getting loads of long tail searches around a search query 'arterial and venous leg ulcers' - on a side note we're a nursing organisation so excuse the content of the search!!! The trouble is that google is indexing a PDF page which we give out as a freebie:

http://www.nursesfornurses.com.au/admin/uploads/5DifferencesBetweenVenousAndArterialLegUlcers1.pdf This PDF is a couple of years old and needs updating but its got a few links pointing to it. Ok so down to the nitty gritty, we've just launched a blog:
http://news.nursesfornurses.com.au/Nursing-news/ We have a whole wound care category in which this content belongs, and i'm trying to find the best way to take advantage of the search, so I was thinking: Create an article of about 1000 words Update the PDF and re-upload it to the main domain (not the sub domain news.nursesfornurses.com.au) Attach the PDF to the article on the blog OR would it be better to host this on the blog, and setup a 301 redirect to this page? I just need some advice on how best to take advantage of this opportunity, our blog isn't getting much search traffic at the moment (despite having 300+ articles!!) and i'm looking into how we can change that. I look forward to your response and suggestions. Thanks! qtY64B10 -
Lost rankings in the last week
In the last week, my website's rankings dropped for a number of keywords. This is the first time I have seen a net drop (and it's significant) in my SEOMoz rankings report (been climbing consistently since January), and I haven't changed my strategy at all. Can anyone shed some light on this? I noticed that my two major competitors have both lost domain rank as well.

One Way Links vs Two Way Links
Hi, Was speaking to a client today and got asked how damaging two way links are. i.e. domaina.com links to domainb.com and domainb.com links back to domaina.com. I need a nice simple layman's explanation of if/how damaging they are compared to one way links. And please don't answer with you lose link juice as I have a job explaining link juice.... I am explaining things to a non techie! Thank you!!

Does anyone know the rules or methods for improving SEO of forums?
After speaking with the Yoast team, they explained that their product cannot support SEO for forums as forum support within Wordpress comes via a plugin and their Wordpress SEO by Yoast plugin cannot support another program. They said that doing SEO on a forum is really hard. I believe it. The tiered hierarchy of forums would seem to make it difficult. Should I use a direct such as NOINDEX, FOLLOW for the higher level elements of the forum and index just the topic? I'm really at a loss here. My website is http://www.heartspm.com and my forum can be seen on the left menu. Press "Ask A Question." Thanks in advance. Gerry

Geo-Domain Centralization - Helps or Hurts a Long-Term Campaign?
I have a client with nearly 100 geo-specific domains (example: serviceincity.com). The content is mostly duplicate, however they weren't affected by Panda or Penguin, and most of the domains have a PR2-PR4. Doesn't mean they won't eventually (I know). My strategy is to centralize all the city domains and 301 them to their main website (example: brandname.com/locations/city/). However, their IBL profile shows at least 50% of their IBLs coming from the geo-specific domains, which makes centralizing quite a scary thing for short-term ranking. Having these domains is obviously not scalable from a social media or video SEO perspective, and we all know that in the long-term brand rules and domaining drools. Before I suggest they that they 301 these domains, I thought I'd get feedback from the community. Will all that 301 redirecting give more weight to the primary domain's visibility and sustain the ranking at a page-level, or will it send a flag to Google that the site might have been using it's own network of websites to game results? (which wasn't the case, the owner was just hyper with dominating in each city). Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Redirecting to a temporary promotion page based on cookies
Hi, Let's say my homepage is www.xxxx.com but I want to redirect users who land on the homepage who don't already have a cookie from the site, to a temporary landing page like www.xxxx.com?AFF_ID=XXXXX as an example, how do I stop Google bot from following that redirect? I don't want Google to cache that as my homepage because I'll lose all rankings?? Thanks!
