Moz Rank Tracker doesn't work with "PHRASE" Keywords!?
-
Hello,
If at http://ranktracker.moz.com trying to track phrase KW - the system wont accept it. But adding [EXACT] match with [] - works well.
Have I missed something?
Cheers.
-
Hello again,
Actually, MozRank accepts "phrase" KW:s with quotation - but ONLY if they have been entered BEFORE the BROAD version of KW.
When it come to [EXACT] version of KW input, MozRank tool accept them regardless if the BROAD version of KW has been entered before or not.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Moz Rank Tracker on default does an exact match of the keyword to the search engine, so no quotation is needed
So for example, if you do "honey badger," we'll won't accept that since we only need the word or phase to be entered to compile an exact search the in the search engine. Keep in mind you still have select an exact match on the url or an broad match of the entire url chain.
I hope that is helpful, please let me know how else I can help!
Best,
Peter

Well I can't use "" to check [EXACT] match domain.
If using curly quotes that is only for "PHRASE" variant of domain. So I'm a kind of in trouble here...
-
For some reason it depends on which type of quotes you're using. As I tried the curly quotes as well: “Social Media” it worked for me. So you could copy paste this line or add the quotes yourself.

What does "Optimal Use of Keywords in Header Tags" really mean?
I get this explanation on the grader: Although using targeted keywords in H1 tags on your page does not directly correlate to high rankings, it does appear to provide some slight value. It's also considered a best practice for accessibility and helps potential visitors determine your page's content, so we recommend it. Over-using keywords, however, can be perceived as keyword stuffing (a form of search engine spam) and can negatively impact rankings, so use keywords in H1 tags two or fewer times. To adhere to best practices in Google News and Bing News, headlines should contain the relevant keyword target and be treated with the same importance as title tags. But I have the keyword in an H1 tag, only once. So why am getting this message on the grader? The URL is https://www.armsecuritysystems.com/business-security-systems/ The keyword is "business security systems" Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Monthly Ranking Comparisons on Custom Reports
Hi, We run MONTHLY Moz custom reports that compares rankings from the previous month, but some of the data just doesn't make sense. As an example, in the previous month’s report our ranking for “keyword X” was #3, when we look at the current month’s report our ranking for “keyword X” is still #3, but it shows that it’s gone up by 3 positions. This position change is not true if you compare to the previous month’s report! How can we know what dates we are comparing against? All the best, Lee.

In Moz Medium Pro how many pages can you track for keyword rankings at a time? I know you can track up to 50 in Standard.
I would possibly like to upgrade my subscription from Standard to Medium because I want to be able to track more pages in Rank Tracker. Unfortunately, the product descriptions do not include how many pages you can track in Rank Tracker.

How Does the On-Page Grader Know about my Target Keyword? Or how can I tell it?
So we've optimized a home page for a particular keyword, "blue widgets tx". But the on-page grader is giving information about "tx blue widgets", "blue widgets in texas", etc. and telling us we are an "F" for these keywords. Is it possible to tell the on-page grader, "Hey, just worry about 'blue widgets tx', and forget about those other ones"? I know I can do it by hand, but it will take forever.

I am doing the On-page SEO for a website that's never had any SEO done before. I will start with the Pages. Is it necessary to do SEO/Keywords for older Posts?
Using the On-Page Grader to perform SEO on pages of WordPress website. This website never had any SEO done before. Should I go back and perform the same work on the Post Pages?

Ambiguities In The MozBar Keyword Difficulty Checker
Hi, This is more of an observation rather than a real issue. But I noticed that when I check a keyword difficulty in Google by pressing the button that appears I get a different % result to the same keyword placed in the campaign. I suspect that it is something to do with being in the UK, however, If for instance I go to google.co.uk and place in the search bar IT support company Portsmouth I get the result 44% appear but in the keyword difficulty tool I get the result 34%. It seems to do this on all the keywords I have checked. I also checked both US and UK results in the campaign but neither of these came up within the 10% difference of the toolbar. Like I mentioned though, not a criticism, just an observation, its still a very handy little tool. EDIT 06/18/14: I thought I would just add that I am now getting some seriously odd results. For instance, if I put in the keyword 'hairy blue widgets for sale in Outer Mongolia' it returns a difficulty level of 71% ??? Thanks

On the Keyword Difficulty tool what do the green boxes and ticks mean?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out what the significance of the colors are in the Keyword Difficulty tool. When I do a search some of the boxes are light green, some dark green and some of them have ticks - any ideas? Thanks, Matt
