Temporary Redirects
-
Hi, I've noticed that most of my temporary redirects are the cause of this parameter.
I also noticed that almost all of my duplicate content and duplicate titles are the cause of this parameter. I tried going into google webmasters, but they say i don't need to change anything. How do I get rid of this parameter because it seems to be causing a lot of errors and warning for me.
-
Really easy, just: s. It probably will already be visible in the parameters found by GWT itself.
-
Should I have it so that GoogleBot does not crawl those links? Since I want to avoid duplicates?
-
What is the parameter I should use to handle this?
-
You add the canonical tags to the head of your HTML documents, in this article from the Google Webmaster Tools help section it's explained how you do this: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/139394?hl=en
-
How do you add canonical tags to pages?
-
Webmaster Tools parameter handleing and also add canonical tags to all of your pages and this combination will care care of your issue.

Hi
It looks like you don't want to have search engines index internal search results from your website.
You could achieve this a couple of ways:
- By adding the meta noindex tag to your search results pages (see "Meta Robots" on this page)
- By using Parameter Handling within Google Webmaster Tools
Hope that's helpful

SEO impact of redirecting high ranking mirror site to the main website
During SEO audit for a client I noticed that they had over a dozen duplicate websites that are carbon copies of the main website. This was done via CMS platform and DNS. One of the mirror sites has about 400 indexed pages and has Moz DA of 42 and 137k External Equity-Passing Links. Full metrics comparison is attached. I originally planned on doing rel="canonical" on the mirror site but the CMS vendor never even heard of it and is refusing to implement it in the header. My only other option is doing one to one 301 redirects. Since the mirror site ranks well, even competes with main domain for some positions on the 1st page of SERP, what will be the impact after the redirects? Is doing 301's still the best option? Thanks! "redirects" with no "redirect address"?
Episode 2 of "Damon the idiot noob" web series . . . I have like . . ..90 plus temporary redirects in my moz "medium priority diagnostics". But the majority of them have a url, but no redicret url. How can it be a temporary redirect if there is no redirect address? Some of the addresses simply don't make any sense. Like: http://www.thirdcoastsigns.com/catalog/seo_sitemap/product How on earth would a "seo_sitemap" be followed my a "/product"? This is a Magento site, so I know some of these things get created automatically . .. but what on earth is going on here? Help welcome, appreciated, and welcome. Did I mention it is welcome and appreciated?

The right GA account is not populating as an option. Can I redirect to a GA account not listed?
When setting up a campaign, Moz provides a number of Google Analytic options, however not the one that pertains to the specific URL for the campaign. Is there a setting I need to change to allow for the right GA account to populate? Or, can I enter this manually?

Is SEOmoz spider ignoring my redirect?
My client was previously serving their website from both a .co.uk and a .com domain. The DNS for each of these domains was pointing to the same place, rather than redirecting. I saw this as a potential duplicate content problem so I set the .co.uk to 301 redirect on to the .com. As a user, the 301 seems to be working correctly. However, now that I have done this, SEOmoz is picking up thousands of "inbound" links from the .co.uk domain. Essentially, every single link on the internal site, is being duplicated in my stats as an inbound link as well. It appears that the spider is ignoring the redirect. I'm not sure if it's a legitimate issue that will upset Google too, or if it's just a bug with SEOMoz's spider.

301 redirect
Hello, I received a crawl diagnostic report for the website http://www.advancedemt.com here's what it said: Issue: (301 redirect) Page Title URL:http://advancedemt.com/ Redirects to:http://http://www.advancedemt.com/ I called seohosting.com for help: They checked my .httaccess file and did not find anything that would cause this 301 redirect.. Cpanel was evaluated for a 301 redirect and nothing there either. MyPHP Admin was checked for anything that could possibly cause this issue. They had a tech search the entire database and no luck on any issue that may be causing the SEOmoz software to pick up this 301 redirect. We checked the Wordpress settings... No discrepancies. Wordpress permalinks... No problems..... We checked Google to see if they may have indexed the site for the error with no luck... I told the SEO Hosting staff that the canonical feature that has been built into Wordpress would prevent this redirect from allowing Google to index the site with this error. Is it possible that the crawl diagnostics is wrong??? Please help... Best regards, Jeff Bratcher (404) 520-2385

302 (Temporary Redirect) & HTTPS - how to improve for SEO?
Hello, I have a crawl diagnostic warning that says 302 (temporary Redirect). My site is set up with HTTPS - is that the main reason I am getting this warning? I don't have a strong need for higher security SSL on my site, which is what I understand the main purpose of HTTPS to be so, to improve SEO, would I be better off getting rid of this and going with HTTP? Or would 301 redirects be a better option? Thanks for your help! Niall
