How shall be the permalinks fo Seo wordpress?
-
I just installed wp super cache plugin for wordpess, it´s asking me to edit the permalinks how shall they be to get a nice ranking and seo well done
Thanks
-
I personally use /%postname%/ in my Wordpress blogs.
Reasons for this:
- Keeps the URL short. Short URLs are easier to share (and perhaps remember)
- Ensures you have only keywords in the URL (post dates, post IDs are redundant)
- Better alternative to /%category%/%postname%/, unless you are sure you will never change the category of your post. If at some point you are "spring-cleaning" your blog and changing the categories of your posts, it will affect the URL of your posts, thereby affecting SEO.
You can manually edit the permalink of each post in Wordpress now, which makes it even easier to ensure you include keywords, and keep it short (in case you have a long postname).
Hope that helps!

There is no secret key to getting nice rankings with just permalinks. It however can help your SEO to do them right.
Your questions is phrased in away it's hard to identify what exactly you want to accomplish. I suggest you read about permalinks first at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_PermalinksThen read this post on ways to setup your permalinks:

Do Blog Tags affect SEO at all anymore?
We're trying to standardize the use of tags on our site amongst writers/editors, and I'm trying to come up a list of tags they can choose from to tag posts with - and telling them to use no more than 10 (absolute maximum) per post. We are also in the process of migrating to a new CMS, and have 8 defined categories that will all have their own landing page within our "News" section. TLDR: Do blog tags have any impact on SEO anymore? Are they solely meant to help users find articles related on popular topics, or does creating a tag for a popular topic help to improve organic visibility? Full Question: With the tag standardization, I want to make sure we're creating the most useful and effective tags; and the UX/SEO sides of my brain are conflicted. To my understanding, creating a tag about a high volume topic in an industry helps establish the website's relevance to Google/other search engines about that topic and improves overall relevance; but the tag feed page (ex: http://freshome.com/tag/home-protection/) isn't really meant for organic search visibility. So my other question is, is it worth it to noindex the tag pages in the robots.txt? Will that affect any benefit to increased relevance for Google (if there is any)? I'm interested to hear others' thoughts and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

International SEO - differentiating Meta data
Hi, We are developing a website for a company based in the US, but that also distributes to the UK. After careful thought, we decided to go with adding subdirectories for the UK pages on the site rather than creating content on a new ccTLD (though they own that domain). 1. How much of the Title Tags, H1, content, needs to be different for UK versions of the same page. Is it enough to simply Geo tag the EN subdirectory in Webmaster Tools? Or do the Title tags and content need to be different in order to avoid keyword cannibalization? 2. Would it be better to create a Landing Page using the ccTLD .co.uk version with information that links to the .com/en version? This would allow the users to see the .co.uk version for trust-building purposes. Or, would it just be better to 301 redirect the .co.uk version to the .com/en? Thanks for your help! Erin

Anyone done SEO with on-page ONLY?
I read this blog post: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/let-onpage-optimization-change-your-life The author claims they have increased the visitors 50 fold doing on-page seo ONLY. So they just added content, and optimized the site structure. Anyone have seen similar results? Not outreach whatsoever, just adding content to site. Technically, this should be true, article directories has tons of visitors and they were giving out links.

Wordpress SEo Plug In
Hi, I am researching SEO plug ins for Wordpress - WordpressSEO by Yoast and All-In-One SEO Pack - and I have a question about implementation: In general, what is the impact these plug ins have on blogs with a large archives? Will they make any changes to old posts that may break incoming links or require me to go back and make edits to each of the old posts? Also, the main thing I want to do is allow for custom total tags. Is there another way to get this functionality? Or should I stick with a plug in because of all the other SEO benefits? Thanks

Wordpress when to use posts or pages
Hi Guys, I have a network of EMD sites that currently use a homepage and then we have a blog page which has 5-6 posts on. Is this the best way to do it with sites under 10-20 pages? Or should we create say 3-4 new pages/categories and drop the posts relevant to each page/category in there? Thank you Jon
