How do you pass G+'s to a new domain?
-
If a company wants to change it's domain, will they lose all the g+ 1's they had with the original domain? Is there a way to "redirect" those pluses to the new site?
Thanks,
Ruben

In my limited experience, 301's will redirect +1's, as Arjen said.
For example, this page http://moz.com/blog/how-to-rank gained most of it's +1's before a 301 redirect, and those plus 1's are now associated with the page.

Changing domain name will cause you to loose G+ 1's. However 301 redirects can tranfer the G+ 1's from one page to another.
Google is really smart in following 301 redirects. I have personal experience with G+ 1's being forwarded from an old URL to the new one. We made a big change in the structure of our website. We moved all language specific pages to a specific sub folder per language. We 301 redirected all the old pages and this caused all G+ 1's to show up for the new pages.
PS: cannot guarantee if this works with 301 redirects from one domain to the other.
PS: 301 redirect do NOT work to transfer facebook likes from one page to another -
Hi Mark,
Yes, it's definitely helpful and I always appreciate any responses I get. I feel like the answer lies somewhere in the personal vs company G+ page (that's what I've been looking into) but I haven't figured it out just yet.
Thanks,
Ruben

Might be worth calling Google to see what they can do for you, I know i've had experiences where we have had things migrated over for other issues. Mine weren't specifically G+ related but I can see the concern to keep the social metric going with a redirect.
I guess the other thing would be 301 redirects, also is the G+ page a personal profile or company page? Could try for a company rename if its a page?
Hope my help is in some way useful for you.

Is this mistake in use of 'publisher' meta tag
Hi There!, There is a confusion with 'Publisher' meta tag. Instead of using 'Google+ page' we have used Google profile pages in meta 'publisher' tag on most of pages. Currently they all are indexed. Also, in 'Author' meta tag same Google Profile page is linked. E.g. - on page - https://www.sitegeek.com/arvixe , following are the publisher and author tags: <a href="https://plus.google.com/117949772080676863960" rel="<a class="attribute-value">publisher</a>">a> <a href="https://plus.google.com/u/0/102179677098786549874/about" rel="<a class="attribute-value">author</a>"> So I am not sure how much it would effect SEO rankings. Please suggest what would the best way to update it? Further, site has its Google+ page: [https://plus.google.com/+Sitegeekcom/posts ] so it should be updated in 'publisher' tag or we should create a new Google+ page using existing Author Google+ profile. Has anyone seen a Blog post from LinkedIn's new Blog feature appear in SERP's?
This feature, prior to Feb. 2014 was only available to high profile users, or influencers, like Bill Gates. Now it is available to all LinkedIn users and extends the reach to LinkedIn groups and your own network. Anyone know if there's an SEO benefit? Thanks in advance.

Why does someone's FB page rank so highly?
Hi Everyone, i recently ran a non-personalized search and saw that this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tampapersonalinjurylawyers ranked very highly for both "personal injury attorney" and "tampa personal injury attorney." The page has very few likes, and they don't even post that often. From my limited knowledge, that leaves me guessing it's because its a quasi-exact match facebook page, but that can't be right...can it? (Ranking screenshot is attached) Thanks, Ruben GO4N11x

Do twitter profile links in bio pass juice?
Links that are added in the "Website" field in a twitter profile are nofollow. However, links added to the "Bio" section are dofollow. This has to mean these links are passing juice correct?

Facebook 'SEO', Likes and Fans
I spent a bit of time this morning combing Google looking for some documentation on SEO for Facebook, specifically the value of 'likes', when liking one's status, how that effects the visibility of a given post and basically the criteria for creating whatever they deem a post to have gone 'viral'. I'm convinced there has to be some answers for my first two questions... ....somewhere. Likewise, I can appreciate if there's nothing available to answer my third question pertaining to 'viral criteria'. Nevertheless, if anyone has any resources/documentation that could provide me some insight into how FB interprets 'likes', how an increased number of 'likes' may lead to greater visibility and (more or less) the mechanics of how this interacts with the entire Facebook structure, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for reading, I look forward to the responses!

Why has SEOmoz removed its G+ code?
Hi, Back in Jan I asked "Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?" - I wanted to double check something so looked at your source code but see that you've now removed the rel="publisher" code from all of your pages... Could you please let me know why its been removed? I don't want to add it to my site and find out 2 weeks later that you've done a big test and shown it hurts rankings or something like that. Thanks FashionLux

Social mentions and 301 to new domain
Hi all, I have noticed that when moving to a new domain your normal links will move along with you when you set proper 301 redirects and use google webmaster tools. But I'm under the impression your twitter mentions, fb likes etc. on the different pages will be lost... I'm looking forward to your comments and ideas. Cheers

Find Facebook Likes and Google +1's Across An Entire Domain?
Does anyone know a good way to find the number of Facebook Likes or Google +1's across an entire domain? It looks like SEOMoz only shows these metrics for individual pages.
