Any recommended hosting company?
-
Any recommended hosting company, name of good package to buy ( shared hosting, VPS hosting, or Dedicated hosting). Which one to buy to help in website ranking.
-
Hi Alexander,
Check out Who Is Hosting This - it's a large community with a lot of reviews, comparisons, etc. Commercially it refers visitors to hosts, but is otherwise impartial (there are links to hosts with good and bad reviews). The "compare" feature might be useful for you: http://i.imgur.com/wyyITPL.png
I hope this helps!

Hello, we use http://mediatemple.net/ for our websites, good speed and great customer service.

We recommend Rackspace. Have had a great experience with them for many of our clients. Their customer service is fantastic. Their cloud hosting solution also has the ability to handle huge spikes in traffic.

I want to host 10-15 Wordpress Blogs website. Each website is having 5000 average visitors per month.
Right Now I am using Hostgator Business shared hosting plan. I want better plan where my websites will load fast.

This is a "how long is a piece of string" question. There's just not enough information to give you an answer.
Like Justian mentioned, what are you needs? Is this going to be a static wordpress site with five pages that gets updated every two months and expects to see a hundred visits a day? Is it an ecommerce site built on a particular platform that also has a forum and is going to have 20,000 visits a day, with lots of custom scripting?
-
Really do need more information to make any useful suggestion.
How many sites and average traffic?
What sort of support/management do you require?
I have tried more than a couple and I'm currently very happy running ~20 sites on an Ipage vps. Their support is top notch.
Siteground gets my support as well, though I only use their basic web hosting and couldn't attest to their more beefy packages.
If you are just looking for some serious hardware stats you might take a look at OVH

I am looking for US web hosting company.
-
You need to be more specific. what part of the world / country are you looking for a hosting Company? and what are your needs?
I' prefer VPS hosting rather then Dedicated hosting (one server) if your server crashes it will give you some downtime unless you are planning to have more then one dedicated server.

How does an accurate and active Google My Business profile impact a company that does all of its work nationally/internationally through remote consulting?
I'm trying to convince a client of the importance of their Google My Business profile and other listings. But because they are less concerned about local since they are a remote based B2B coaching group they don't see it as a priority. Any resources to help me unpack the importance?

Electricity company - automatic backlinks from tables embedded on third party websites
Hi guys, I'm working for an electricity company and they want businesses to embed "live energy saving tables" where they choose to, on their website - each table links back to the electricity company. Now I'm only comfortable with editorially given links these days, rather than "you choose to embed this table and it will link back to us - that's the arrangement" set ups - even when they're not using anchor text. What are your thoughts? Thanks, Luke

3rd Party hosted whitepapers — bad idea? Duplicate content?
It is common the B2B world to have 3rd parties host your whitepapers for added exposure. Is this a bad practice from an SEO point of view? Is the expectation that the 3rd parties use rel=canonical tags? I doubt most of them do . . .

Best approach for a client with another site for the same company
I have a client who has an old website and company A handles the SEO campaign for this site.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | ao500000
My client wanted us to create a new website with unique content for the same company aiming to double his chances of ranking on the 1st of SERP's and eventually dominating it.
So we created the new site for him and handled it's SEO campaign. So far we are ranking decently on the search engines but we feel like we could do better. The site we are optimizing for him uses the same company, tracking number and a virtual address in the same city.
Do you think Google has a problem with this set up?
We have listed the new site in the citation directories but I'm worried that we are sending google mixed signals. The company has two listing on each directories, one for the old site and another for the new site.
Another thing, Google+ Local for the new site is created and verified but is not showing up in local pack.
What is the best way to approach this mess?
We are looking into ranking for both local & organic results.0 -
Switch hosting to be closer to site visitors, and 99% dropped from rankings?
Last week I decided to switch for a UK server to a US one at Hostgator since most of my visitors are from the US. About nine hours later 99% of my pages disappeared from google rankings, only a few non-relevant pages are at position 100-200. All decent (1000-2000 word) articles on specific topics, are gone. These pages were getting 2-3 minutes per user of readership and a low bounce rate, so I think they were pretty good quality. Does anyone think it's possible I got accidentally added on a blacklisted IP? Or why would something like this happen. Since then, I've tried switching back to the old IP for 3 days, that didn't work. Now I've filed a reinclusion request with the details. Has anyone had a similar experience? What can possibly cause this massive drop in rankings and traffic? Any help is much appreciated!

SEO - Product Related MiniSites: Hosting & Domains
Hey Mozzers, I would first like to thank everyone in advance for replying to my question 😉 Actually, my question is 2-part: Hosting & Domains 1) We are currently researching product-related domains and would like to build-out review style mini-sites on WordPress that link back to our main site product pages. We're using X-Cart platform and X-Cart offers a WordPress module. My Dev. recommends installing a main WordPress mini-site template on my server and replicating this template under different domains/unique content, obviously ;-). -My questions is; For backlink purposes, would it be better to host these WordPress pages in a different location/server? 2) Domains (which domain extensions are the best): I have read mixed reviews on this subject ... a) Do dashes (i,e. brand-model.com) have an impact as well?? I read a post regarding this; http://www.commonsensemarketing.net/do-domain-name-extensions-matter/ - and the general feeling was that .com and .net ranked higher, faster but that .info wasn't a bad runner up. I was a bit excited to hear that .info wasn't a bad choice as they are actually "available" and cheap as well (under 3 bucks) until a comment was posted about a "Market Samurai" study. They reported testing 4 domain names (below) with the same article, date & time post . 1. domainname.com
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | k9byron
2. domainname.org
3. domainname.net
4. domain-name.com -My question is: Can anyone give any advise on which domain extensions work better/rank higher faster? com / .net / .org / .info / ect? Also, is it better to have more product related keywords in the domain? Example, one of my products is the "Dogtra 280ncp Platinum". WordStream exact match tells me that "dogtra 280ncp" gets 210 searches per month and that "dogtra 280ncp platinum" gets another 91 searches per month. I'm guessing that its better to buy www.Dogtra280ncpPlatinum.com instead of www.Dogtra280ncp.com as we would pick up the searches for the "platinum" term as well? Question Summary: Is it better to host these mini-sites on another server than my main site? Which domain extensions work better? Is it better to use as many product related keywords in the domain as possible and maybe even throw modifiers in there as well such as "buy" or "review"? Thanks Again!

Where would the SEO juice go if I have a wordpress site hosted by godaddy?
I am planning on moving my website to a wordpress that is hosted by godaddy. I am wondering where the SEO juice that my website has already gained would go. Would it go to godaddy when I make the move instead?
